Chapter 33: Freya's Point Of View

Raph waited patiently at the entrance of Dragon's Keep. I arch a curious eyebrow at Silias who stood next to him grinning from ear to ear. Almost as if he had won some kind of bet. Raph growls out a sigh running his fingers through his hair roughly.

"He insists in coming with us." I smile curiously at the pair. It was obvious that Raph was annoyed by him. But he had won. Silias winks at me.

"I'm not leaving my Favorite Dragon. Plus you will need all the help you can get with the war that is coming."

"Thank you." My voice was hoarse. Mostly because I hadn't been doing alot if talking. It was just easier not to talk.

"Silias just open the damn portal so that we can go already." Silias chuckles waving his hands. My stomach does a weird flip as a silverish pool opens up just behind them. Raph groans and walks over to me putting his back to me and bends down.

Both my eyebrows shoot up in surprise. What on earth is he doing?!

"What are you doing?!" Raph let's out a clipped sigh.

"Climb on. You're still recovering and I can see that you are still in pain." I sigh heavily and reluctantly climb on Raph's back. His hands were warm. I hadn't realized that I was even cold.

I lock my arms securely around his neck. He smelled of Pine trees and grass. I smile to myself. Raph was a comfort to me. I gasp as we step through the portal my stoma hee dropping in the process. I squeeze my eyes shut to remain calm as Raph keeps walking.

"We aren't telling Astor about the baby..okay?" Raph stiffens a little..clearly uncomfortable with my request.

"Frey he has a right to know." Raph's voice was surprisingly gentle as he spoke to me.

"Raph..please.." He sighs heavily and nods his head. It was nice that Raph seemed to be on my side.

*****Astor's Point Of View********

Wildflowers and Ash washed over me causing Aro to stir..My heart hammered inside my chest. That wasn't possible..My knees suddenly felt weak as a wave of emotions wash over me..longing, nervousness, love. Freya?! She was alive?!

'Mate! Go Now!' I felt myself smile at the excitement in Aro's voice. He didn't have to tell me twice. I took off in a dead run through the castle. Following her scent. It was growing stronger.

I round the corner and stop. Freya was on Raph's back as he walked. Aro growls slightly. But this was no time to be jealous. Henhad saved her...I thought she was dead..But there she was. Another man walked beside Raph. He seemed to be having a quiet conversation with Freya. I watch him frown slightly but nod his head.

Freya let's out a long sigh. I stood there in awe taking in my mate. She was alive and home. My heart ached to touch her..to make sure that it was really her. Thinking she was dead had drove me almost completely mad.

I had taken out on a few pack members as well. To which I would have to apologize for.

Raph turns his head and speaks softly to Freya getting her attention. She moves her head to the side to peer around Raph. My heart clenched at the sight of her gray eyes. Her beautiful orbs bore into mine.

Raphs sets her down on her feet gently allowing to me take her all in. A pain forms in my chest. She looked thinner. There were dark circles under her eyes. Her skin was paler than normal. She looked so worn out. She offers me a small smile. I growl as the other man places a hand on Freya's back. But he completely ignored my growl. Shocked as the color returned to Freya's face. So he was a Mage.

I slowly approach my mate..almost afraid if I got to close that she would disappear. She smiles gently. I kneel down infront of her, wrapping my arms around her and burying my face into the torso of her shirt. She giggles softly running her fingers through my hair. I sigh as peace washes over me.

"I'm alright..thanks to Raph and Silias. They saved my life." I shake my head and look up her. She looked confused for a moment.

"No. They saved OUR lives..I was dead inside..I thought you were dead..I was barely holding on." She reaches out and strokes my cheek gently causing me to smile.

"Dragon's are hard creatures to kill."

****Freya's Point Of View*****

It had almost been a Month. The emptiness was still there. I didn't have the courage to tell Astor any of it. But I told him how Niko died..If he knew the rest it would break his heart.

Astor was patient with me. We weren't having sex for the record. But I did sleep with him every night. He didn't push me and told.me I didn't have to explain. He was only glad that he got to hold me in his arms again. I giggle a little. He was so cheesy.

Silias unfortunately had been glued to my side since we returned. And I do mean almost literally. So much that I have been debating on killing him a few times.

The twins had sent word that they were stuck in the dark Elven Kingdom for now. Apparently they were dealing with family matters. Not that I minded. They were safer there anyway.

I had found myself walking into the pack hospital all the way up to the Maternity ward. I told myself that it was because I was their Luna and I needed to be there for them. Including the new Mothers. But I knew that I was here for completely selfish reasons...

I notice a young woman pacing her room. She looked like she was about to give birth any minute now. I lightly knock on the open door. Her head snaps in my direction and her brown eyes had widened in surprise.

"Luna? Is everything alright?" I give her a curious look and slowly walk closer to her.

"I noticed you pacing. I wanted to see if you were alright."
