CHAPTER 15
Meanwhile, Aria had the fate of an arranged marriage with a snob of a husband hovering around her and she also had some unfinished business with her past life.
One of such was none other than her previous boyfriend. He was one who would work his butt off for any situation but even with all the hard work, his talent wasn't well appreciated.
He worked for a company as a sale marketer and his promotion, bonus and the likes only increased based on the clients he brought to the firm. Unfortunately for him, he had travelled for the business trip before her death only to be back and she was gone.
Taking in a deep breath, Alexander smiled at the picture frame in his hand. It was a picture of himself and Aria.
That day they had both gone for a picnic and took pictures. This was one of the best and Aria's favourite too.
They were both seated and laughing away happily. She had wanted to kiss him when he pushed her lips away and in the process, they ended up laughing at each other.
It was in that genuine laughter that the camera clicked, taking what was their very best picture.
Just thinking about it and the look into each other's eyes, made Alexander to feel so bad and the next thing, tears had begun pouring down his cheeks.
"I should have allowed you right to all those kisses then and taken so many pictures with you as you desired. I just…" his voice broke as another painful memory crept into his mind. "I love you, Aria and I want you, my love. I want you."
His lips quivered as a shout threatened to spill out from his tightened lips.
After a while he could no longer hold it in and screamed out his lungs in anguish. "Ariaaaa!!"
"Come back, my love come back. Come back to me."
After a while of screaming, he clutched the picture frame to his chest and fell backwards on his big bed as the tears he did not bother holding in began to rush out of his eyelids.
"My Ariaaa, why, why, why?!"
****
On the other hand, Aria was in a dilemma. She did not feel right about leaving Alexander like that and knew she needed to help him with his closure and for him to get over her and move on.
Now she was stuck in Jade's body and she would have to live life as Jade while fulfilling the wishes of her new parents.
It wasn't like she wanted this but she had little or no choice. It would look suspicious if she started rejecting the marriage arrangement.
Nowing her worst enemy, she knew that Jade would do anything to get married to the richest bachelor.
Not only was he rich but he was bloody handsome and for her who didn't find that an attraction centre in guys, she was amazed by his looks.
So if her parents were going tell her about this, the jade she knew would be thrilled not going against heir arrangement.
Letting out a deep sigh, Aria shook her head as she paced about in her room. It was a much bigger room than what she was used t but she loved it anyway.
Here she somehow had her privacy especially when she ordered it.
She had only lived here for a week but she enjoyed every attention she was getting.
Even the meals served to her, were way more appetizing and one she could only dream of having.
This life was all she had wished for someday. Although she wished to get a good job, making a good living and be able to assist her husband in life but now, it came on a platter of gold.
'Perhaps I can fight this out," Jade thought.
She knew it was almost impossible for a lot of things to change for her, especially now that she had began to recall memories that were nowhere close to what she had experienced before, she knew they were Jade's memories.
She did not have a stable boyfriend and had never been in love before. So if she wanted to fight for her future and love, it would not make sense considering she did not have a boyfriend before.
So even if her parents were ready to let her marry for love, it was futile.
"I know they would love Alex once they meet him but his humble background would not allow them to accept him. Besides, I can fight for him and make im love me again, while I get to convince Jay and Mira," she said out loud.
Even saying it seemed impossible to her. It wasn't easy waking up one morning and hoping that your past boyfriend would love you again being another person's body.
She pondered on the issue for quite a long time and after thinking about it thoroughly, she knew she was just wishfully thinking.
And although she hated to mention it, she had no choice but to do the needful.
"Fine. I would see if I can help Xander. Even if I cannot have him back, I should at least use my second chance to give him an edge in life. After that, then I can move on and face my new life."
She turned around and quickly picked up her phone to get his picture. It was quiet easy accessing her email and login into Jade's phone, so she got all her contacts and information back.
"I am sorry Xander. I wish we could be but I must be realistic. Once I am done, it would be goodbye."
