Chapter 026 Going To America -4

Song Recommendation: Solo Tu by Akon ft Farruko

"Okay now I don't understand! How did one week pass like that!?"

Delia looked at the crowd of her classmates standing in front of the Veterinary medicine department; holding unto their bags with their names tagged on it.

They smiled widely at the empty road; waiting for the luxurious bus to come pick them up, as instructed by the HOD.

"Like was it not just yesterday that they told us we're traveling? How did today come!? How did one week finish like that!?" Delia asked in a highly amazed tone.

Eboh and Beatrice rolled their eyes. Eboh then started, "How did your period finish?– AH!!!", Delia cut her off with a smack on the back of her head.

"Shut up, my friend! Why are you talking like me? Didn't I tell you not to learn bad habits from me?" Delia sizzed.

Eboh scratched the back of her head, weaning, "Ouch! you wicked witch!"

"Free of charge!" Delia smiled, thrusting her hands into her pockets. "Where's this bus now? It's been a whole two minutes".

And almost immediately three luxurious buses drove to the front of the crowd. The students began to charter in excitement.

From each bus, two heavily bodied men — dressed in black — stepped out, motioning the students in.

Eboh, Beatrice and Delia stepped forward to enter one of the buses — Delia felt someone grab her arm.

"Huh?" She turned around, "Mr. Robert?"

"Good morning, Ms. Alan", he bowed.

Delia smiled, "Good morning, Mr. Robert. What are you doing here?"

"To take you to your transport, miss".

"Transport?" She was confused.

"You would not be going on the same plane as them".

Before Delia could respond, the doors of the buses pulled shut, having all the students except her in it. Her eyes widened.

"Del!? Del!? Delia!?", Eboh and Beatrice looked through the window, surprised.

"Sir! There's one person outside!" Eboh pointed out.

"Sir! You forgot someone!" Beatrice added.

The men in the bus didn't speak a word as the driver starting the engine. They began to drive off sneerly.

"Sir! Sir! Sir!" Eboh marched forward. "Sir, you forgot–".

"Sit down!" One of the men gave her a stern look.

Eboh froze in surprise. Beatrice stared at Delia through the window, knocking. "Delia, we're coming! We'll tell them! Just wait!"

The buses drove off, leaving just Delia and Robert behind. Delia turned to him confused; he gestured her to a parked car.

"Shall we, Ms. Alan?"

She blinked at him confused, before tightening her grip on her suitcase and backpack. They stepped towards the car.

Sitting quietly at the back passager seat, Robert drove right behind the buses. Delia finally spoke.

"Why am I not in the bus with them?"

"Because master doesn't want his terminal girlfriend riding with commoners", he gave her a polite smile.

Delia chuckled, "Terminal? You make me sound like a type of cancer. Which I am, of course", She rested her back on her seat.

Robert gave her a quizzical look. He wasn't expecting such a response. Either way, he brushed it away.

As they continued to drive behind, Delia began to notice Robert was driving away from the original lane. He then took a bend into the Aviation College, whilst the bus continued to drive forward on the main road.

She knitted her brows but remained silent.

Robert silently drove them to the airport section of the college and parked by the gate.

Getting down, he then pulled Delia's door open to let her step down. They walked into the port.

There, Delia spotted four of Dilen's men standing next to the private jet parked on the concrete runway. One stepped forward to collect her bags — he motioned her to the jet's staircase and door.

Looking over her shoulder to catch Robert's eyes, he gave her a warm smile. She gulped, stepping into the plane as Robert trailed after.

"Woah", she exhaled, scanning the fancy plush interior of the jet.

"Please have a seat, Ms. Alan", Robert motioned her to a seat by the window.

She complied.

"Would you like anything, Ms. Delia?"

"No, thank you, Mr. Robert".

"Robert will do, miss", he smiled.

"So will Delia", she smiled back.

Giving her a nod, he excused himself and made his way out of the section.

Delia continued to look around, still taken aback at to why she wasn't on the bus with her course-mates; who were going on a five hours journey to the capital state, Abuja, so to bored an international flight to the States.

Delia grimaced.

The door Robert previously stepped through, finally opened.

Dilen walked in with a smirk on his lips.

Dilen and Delia continued to stare at each other in complete silence, leaving only their slow steady breaths to echo as they remained still on their opposite seats.

Dilen mysteriously had on a devilish grin.

Delia finally spoke, "So? Do I really have to be here?"

"Yes. Because the girlfriend of the Dilen Liam can not be boxed in a bus for hours like a mere simpleton. Contract or real, it's a blot to my image".

Delia chortled, "Okay, that's heart warming to hear", she rolled her eyes to the side, seeming uninterested in their previous staring contest.

Dilen then added, "I also brought you here for something else".

She snapped her head at him, "What?"

"Your costume, of course. Since you wish to hide your face permanently from the public, you'll need a disguise".

"Ah, I see. So did you picked one for me? Or are you giving me options?"

"Both", he snapped his finger. Robert immediately dotted in, pushing along a rake of clothings on hangers and clips.

Dilen turned back to Delia, "Go ahead and choose. I specifically picked them out for you. Have a look".

Glancing at him one more time, Delia slowly got up and walked up to the rake. Gingerly, she trailed her fingers over each and every one of the outfit, trying to find the one to fit her taste.

An item then instantly caught her attention. "This one!"

"I knew you'd pick that", Dilen shook his head.
