BAD NEWS

ECLAIRE immediately noticed that Graham seemed to be in a bad condition.

For once, he only ate four plates of steak instead of eight. She also noticed he didn't talk much even when he was washing the dishes with Yeri earlier. Since her mother entrusted their guest to her, she couldn't help but worry about him.

"Graham, are you alright?" Eclaire asked worriedly when she found the future Wolf King in the living room. "You look sick."

Graham, who was sitting on the floor with his right cheek pressed against the coffee table, groaned as if he was in pain. "Toothache," he said. "My teeth hurt, Noona."

"I knew it. You flinched a lot when you were chewing your food earlier," she said, then she sat on the sofa while taking out a tablet from the bottle in her hands. "That's why I brought a tablet for you. This one works well against dental pain, so take it."

He laughed softly. "Noona, you're like a mother hen."

"I'll take that as a compliment," she said, then she handed him the tablet.

But instead of taking the tablet from her hand, Graham just opened his mouth wide lazily.

[Does he want me to feed him the tablet myself?]

She decided not to put too much meaning in it. Plus, Yeri was like that too. Her sister liked being spoiled.

[Alright, here goes nothing.]

She was about to put the tablet in his mouth when she saw something that caught her attention.

"Graham, you grew fangs."

He immediately got up, his face filled with surprise. "Fangs?"

She nodded while looking at his visible fangs. "I'm sure those fangs don't look normal fangs. Plus, you didn't have them earlier."

His hands moved up, then he gently touched his fangs with his fingers. The shocked look on his face was priceless. "It's true," he said in disbelief. "This is the kind of fangs Wolves in my world possess."

She smiled warmly at him. "Congratulations, Graham."

He beamed, and wouldn't stop touching his fangs.

"Ya, stop touching your fangs with your hands," she scolded him. "It's unhygienic."

He just flashed her his boyish grin.

[Aigoo, what is he acting cute for?]

"It looks like you don't need to take this medicine," she said as she put the tablet back in the bottle. "But are you still in pain?"

He smiled brightly while shaking his head. Thankfully, he already stopped poking his fangs with his fingers. "My teeth still hurt, but I can endure, Noona. Maybe it's just some sort of growing pains?"

She chuckled at how he described it. "If you say so."

He just wouldn't stop smiling.

[Aww, he looks so happy.]

Her thoughts were interrupted when her phone wouldn't stop vibrating in the front pouch of her hoodie.

She took out her phone thinking Yeri was bombarding with her messages.

[When she shouldn't be since she's supposed to be in cram school!]

Thankfully, it wasn't Yeri.

The group chat of her class was on fire. Her classmates kept sending videos and images about a crime that happened in their area just now. When she read the messages, she gasped softly.

"Oh, no," she said, then she immediately stood up. "This is near Yeri's cram school!"

"Noona, what happened?" Graham asked worriedly, then he stood up and gently grabbed her by the arm. "Please calm down and tell me."

She stared at him, then she realized she should be explaining the situation to Graham because he was the right person to hear the news.

[But I hope this has nothing to do with him.]

"A homeless man was killed in the area," she said, then she gulped before she continued. "Apparently, the victim was mauled by… by "big wild dogs" according to a witness."

["Big wild dogs" don't exist in our city, though.]

The disbelief in Graham's face made her realize she was right to think that the real culprit wasn't a "big wild dog."

[Oh, no…]

"They were Wolves, weren't they?" she asked, scared. "Graham, did someone else enter our world aside from you?"

"I don't think they were Wolves, Noona," Graham said worriedly. "I believe those were Lycans."

She felt her heart drop to the floor.

[Lycans are the wolf-like creatures that eat human flesh!]

"Graham, let's go," Eclaire said, then she grabbed him by the hand. Of course, the possibility of Lycans roaming around in her neighborhood scared her. But her concern for her baby sister outweighed her fear. "The incident happened near Yeri's cram school, so let's go and pick her up."
