Crossing The Lines

"You knew...?" Tifanny murmured, covering her mouth as she cried.

Mrs. Ruiz was even in shock as she heard this for the first time. "What did you say, Chase?"

Tifanny felt her legs go weak as she fell to the ground, her face turning pale. Mrs. Ruiz held her head, as she could feel the throbbing ache in her head and let herself sit on the couch.

Chase held Lia tighter to him and pressed a kiss on her forehead before he continued, "I did not want to alarm anyone else about what I had found out, except Hans, Ken, and Yael. I want to find Lia secretly so that I can reach her before any of you find her and destroy her further." He turned to Lia once more and brushed the curls, smiling at his lover, looking hopefully back at him. "And I am glad I did find her at last. This is the best thing that has ever happened to me in the seven years I've been alive. For her to come back into my life."
