Chapter 26 Escaping to Reality

I roared, enraged, still stuck in the room.

Pounding on the glass.

Hearing the voices behind it as they cower in fear.

"We need to end him now. He is out of control!" The scientist shouted at Thorne.

Thorne laughs at him as I continue to break the glass.

As I continue to punch the glass, enraged, I listen in on the other side.

"If there weren't any traps you could activate inside, I would restrain him, but, ark I tethered his life force too, would have killed him. Instead, I've binded myself to the beast, but there is a cursed spirit that lingers inside of his mind. I must cleanse him and share my life force. I want to control this beast," Thorne says as the scientist looks at her.

I break the glass, as it shatters. It covers my knuckles and palms.

Looking at my fur, it's white and not brown.

What have they done? Why am I older?

Breaking out of the cell, smashing the wall.

Enraged, I roar at them as they scatter.

Reaching out towards them, a blast of pure energy goes through my palm.

"You have killed enough of our men's beasts."

My wound closes faster than it did before.

As I stare at the knight, I feel my hand clench enraged.

The same knight from before carries the lance as it spins.

Powering up energy dwells inside of it.

As another knight appears behind him.

Carrying a huge greatsword.

"Look at this monster, he's bigger than the other ones." One of the knights said.

Both of them aim to focus on me standing in front of the crowd.

While the guards were surrounding me with their weapons,

Like Thorne, and the scientists behind the knights in silver armor.

"Shoot him down now!"

The knight shouts.

My ears ring as bullets bounce off my muscles.

Growling annoyed.

I slashed two guards in half.

While the rest stop shooting to gain distance from me.

Rushing to finish off the rest.

One of the lance knights shoots me in the back.

The blast doesn't pierce me, but I stumble and recover afterwards.

I snarl, running on two legs instead of four.

Feeling stronger and faster than I ever have in my life.

Both the knights met me in the center of the hallway.

The lance tries to impale me, bursting at full speed.

I reached out for his head, as I leaped into the air.

Pushing my weight onto the knight's head.

"Agghhh!" The knight grunts, slamming his head into the ground.

The other knight follows behind him, slashing his great sword.

Catching the blade with my forearm, I dashed forward.

Clenching my fist, I punched the knight in the gut.

Launching him up to the ceiling.

He groans as he falls down. I caught him throwing him against the wall.

I began to slam my fists into him.

Relentlessly punching the knight, destroying his armor.

Ripping it off like a sheet of paper.

"Leave him alone..."

The knight says as he gets up, I turn to him.

Glaring at my next prey.

As I glare at him, he stands finding his ground.

The knight grips his lance tightly.

Sprinting at him in a matter of seconds.

He didn't react in time. I prepared to take his head off his shoulders.

A guard shoots me in the face as the bullet bounces off my jaw.

The other five begin to surround me.

As they prepare to fire.

Gripping the Knight by his leg.

I slung his body at two of the guards behind me.

Rushing towards the other three.

Immediately killing them in a matter of seconds.

Lunging my claw deep inside the guard's stomach, blood spills all over my fur.

Painting my fur red, I gripped delighted.

The other guards looked on shocked.

I take a huge chomp on the guard to my right.

Snatching his head off with my sharp teeth, slurping up whatever hangs from my mouth.

I began to chew, crushing his skull and swallowing the fragments.

Their bodies drop along with their guns.

Blood splatters everywhere. As I chew, I savor the meal.

Swallowing, I turned to the other guard.

He aimed his gun at me.

"I will kill them both," he says, intimidated by me.

Walking closer to the guard.

The guard begins unloading the clip as he shakes.

The knight stands up behind holding his great sword.

He pants as he stands trying to hold his composure.

I growl, as he pushes the guard out of the, raising his great sword.

Licking the blood around my snout and jaw.

Clenching my fist, I punched the knight, sending him flying.

He drops his blade, groaning.

Stepping over to him.

Standing over the man's body.

He holds out his injured burnt arm.

"Nathan, if you go any further I won't be able to negotiate with a beast. Who isn't a man anymore? You want to see your son and wife, yes?"

Hearing Thorne's voice, I turned to her but her lips were sealed and her eyes were shut.

"Are you in my head?"

I asked, looking around me, confused.

"Yes I am, there was spirit tainting your mind, you're very resilient. Without me you would have died instantly in the ark I've put into your eye. Draining your life force instead of a source of energy. I've bonded myself to you. If I release this spell, you will die almost instantly outside of your beast form. Do you understand Nathan, I have your life in my hands," Thorne says, as she chuckles.

"You will do what I say from now on, and I will give you what you want." Thorne says, as she steps closer to me.

Snarling at Thorne as she stands before me confidently.

"You have no idea what I have in store for you," I said.

"I think you do have an idea, Nathan. I'm inside your head now and it will never happen." Thorne says, as she

Thorne stepped in front of me.

"Don't make me kill you, Nathan, it would be a waste," Thorne says as she finally speaks.

"Take him to his holding cell. We need stronger walls around him." Thorne said, as one of the guards approached me cautiously.

"Let's go.." He says, trembling near me.

Staring at Thorne, I slowly stomped away, following the guard.

He leads me to the cell, down the hallway, opening the door.

The cell is similar to the experiment room.

Including a bed and a bathroom.

I lay on the bed exhausted.

"Nathan, stop tickling me!" Sabrina shouts, giggling.

Our laughter echoes through the forest.

Attempting to smell the rich, vibrant forest.

I wake up to different smells and sounds.

These aren't things from the forest I've lived in.

Moving out of my bed in a pitch black room.

Standing stretching in my cell.

Looking in the mirror, I brush my teeth and wash my face.

Pushing my long white hair back.

Rubbing my face, I've gotten older.

I grab my clothes that were issued to me.

Pushing the door open.

The guard next to my cell stares at me.
