Chapter 27 Ohme Mutt

Waiting outside the Pub.

Catching a familiar smell.

The same one I caught that night.

Feeling Dale's presence next to me, I became irritated.

I walked pushing the door open, catching a glimpse of all the men.

Taking a seat at the bar.

"What do you want?" The bartender asked.

"I just want a cold beer."

I say.

"Hey, it's Dale." All the men looked at me.

As they stop cheering for the beasts.

Axel walked towards me.

"You ain't Dale."

Axel says, walking towards me, trying to recognize me.

He's the same old man from before.

"No I'm not."

I say.

"Then who the hell are you?"

Axel asks.

"I came in here wearing this fancy suit and got a fresh haircut."

He says.

"Then Dale must've sent you here."

The man says, as he gets in my face.

"Say Dale one more time,"

I say.

"Or what?"

The man says.

"Hey, that's enough."

A man's voice echoes through the pub.

Hearing his footsteps, they came closer to me.

I turned around to meet his gaze.

"Nathan..?"

Axel asks.

That same old man from the night before.

"You look even older than you did before."

Axel says, smiling as he approaches me.

"Where has Dale been? He made a promise that night my men and I got fucked over by a bunch of kids."

Axel says.

"Well, I don't know anything about that deal."

I say.

"You know now, Nathan, and so does Laura."

Axel says, as he walks closer to me.

"Dale didn't come up with his earnings so I went by his apartment. I met this woman. Her name is Laura, right?"

Axel says, smirking.

"What does this have to do with me?"

I asked.

The bartender served me the cold beer he grabbed.

"Thank you, is there anything else I can do for you?"

The bartender asks, but Axel shoos him away.

"What does this have to do with me? I'm not with Dale right now."

I asked Axel as I took a sip of the cold beer.

"Everything you are related to Dale, right? I need him to pay up and I'll do what it takes."

Axel says, as the bartender pulls something from under the bar.

"Where is Laura now?"

I asked, placing the beer down.

"Well, we took her in for some questioning. She resisted but we brought her here. She is downstairs resting."

Axel sighs.

"Nathan, I don't want to have to ask again. You can't come here getting what you want if Dale hasn't repaid the debt he owes me."

I turned to Axel.

"I don't owe you a damn thing."

Clenching my fist, I turned around, punching Axel.

He groans, as the other men attempt to stop him.

I kick one on my left in the gut, I then uppercut him after he staggers.

Punching the man on my right.

I grabbed his throat, slamming him into the floor.

The bartender pulls out the shotgun from underneath the counter.

Reaching for him, he cocks the gun.

Grabbing the end of the barrel of the shotgun.

Pulling the bartender closer, we both wrestle for the weapon.

Another man approached me from behind.

Pulling the gun towards that man.

I forcefully cock the shotgun.

Then I smashed the bartender's finger against the trigger.

The bartender screeches in pain as the man is shot in the head.

He continues to struggle over the gun.

I started punching him in the face.

He growls at me, revealing his yellow reptilian eyes and green scales across his skin.

Glaring at him, I snarl, revealing my fangs.

His tail flares up, preparing to attack.

The beast goes into my hand, I pull back.

Slashing his neck open with my claws that grew out of my fingernails.

He reels back, covering his neck behind the counter.

I turned around, and the men were staring at me.

Axel stands behind the horde of men.

"Kill this man now!"

Axel shouts.

"I don't want to have to kill any of you."

They all begin sprinting towards me.

Cocking the shotgun, I shot the first man reaching towards me.

His head splatters over the floor.

I packed the shotgun again, killing the next person.

As he leaps over the counter.

Counting eight more men.

Two of them are transforming.

I have two shells left.

Smacking the next man in front of me trying to hit me with a chair.

He falls down. I shot the man behind me.

Then I cocked the shotgun one last time, shooting the man on the ground.

The other four men approached me.

Using a shotgun as a baseball bat.

I smashed one of the men's heads with the butt of it.

The shotgun breaks, covered in blood and brains.

Sprinting towards the men, I shoved the broken butt of the gun inside of another man's throat.

Blood spurted out of his mouth.

Grabbing the man's leg, I threw him at another person.

A man behind me grapples with me.

"You are going to pay for this!"

The man yelled at me and punched me.

I shoved my claws inside of his stomach.

"Shutup."

I say.

Ripping his body in half as his organs paint me in blood.

Looking at the last man squirming underneath a corpse.

I walked towards the man standing over him.

I began punching him relentlessly.

Crushing the man's head with each punch.

Panting, I stopped, looking around the pub that was so clean and neat now covered in corpses.

Standing up, I walked towards Axel.

Axel laughs.

"I'm not telling you anything."

Hovering my foot over his leg.

"You see what I did to those men. I will go for you if you don't tell me where they are."

I say.

"There isn't anything you can do."

Axel says.

I slammed my foot on his leg.

Breaking it, his leg, he screamed in agony.

Applying even more pressure, I leave it there.

"Where are they!?"

I shout.

"Laura is down in the basement. Ohme kid, I traded him for a man in a red cloak I was talking to him earlier."

Applying even more pressure, he squirms even more.

"You should be able to find him down the street from here."

Axel says, reaching for his leg in pain.

Turning away, I headed behind the bartender's counter to lift the hatch.

I walked to the basement.
