Pokedex Fix

{Charmander, a flame burns at the tip of its tail from birth, it is said that a Charmander dies whenever this flame goes out.} The voice of the Pokedex rang out so Both Hu Tao and Charmander could hear.

We sat in silence, Charmander was mortified by the information and brought its tail close to its body.

I was annoyed at the lack of information, no type, ability moves, no details of weight or size, 'I can't believe I actually think the in-game Pokedex is more useful than this.'

I fumbled around with the buttons to see what they did, I already knew what the two white buttons do, as they allow someone to switch Pokemon to and from the lab.

The 2 row of blue buttons allow one to shift through different information, and the two large black buttons are to shift between beginner mode and experienced mode.

I switched into experienced mode and played the entry again.

{Charmander, The Lizard Pokemon, Charmander is a Fire Type Pokemon, Weighing 18.7 lbs and standing 2 feet high. It evolves into Charmeleon at level 16 and then Charmeleon evolves into Charizard at level 36.

Charmander, a flame burns at the tip of its tail from birth, it is said that a Charmander dies whenever this flame goes out.}

I nod as Charmander once again flinched in place as I placed my palm on its head, calming him down.

I stood up and continue to go down the route with Charmander by my side, I chose to do this to build up more trust between us, I wouldn't want Charmander to come and not respect me whatsoever once it gets stronger, I am basically following the same principle of having Charmander at the front on my party.

I went on to encounter two more Rattatas, this time Charmander used less time and energy taking them down, he more or less has gotten used to their instinctual fighting style.

Although Charmander was incredibly tired, I chose to have one more battle, I wanted to see Charmander's limits in how much he could take, I know people in this world don't battle much at all, as ash at least only had 4 or 5 battles with Pikachu between the start and Surge's Raichu that was showed on screen.

The only time I could say Ash's Pikachu battled a lot before the first gym of the region was in Sinnoh in which it battles and fainted at least 8 times in the episodes leading to the gym.

If I could get Charmander used to rapid fight after fight and moderately use its energy, we could train for longer periods of time, or being able to withstand water would be great, as the 2nd badge is either a two versus two or a three versus three, by that time, at most I would have is a Charmander, an electric type and Clefairy and Jigglypuff.

That would be my full team until Celadon where I can go to the game corner and get Mr.Mime and beg around on where I can find an Eevee, or trade for one somewhere.

I know that the St. Ann event had trainers and other people trading Pokemon, and the trading event in Johto, and then there is the world trade center in Goldenrod, I would need to put in a lot of work just to get Eevee alone, Togepi would be whole other matter as most people outside of Sinnoh don't even know Togepi even exist.

As I was in my thought, the cry of an oddish, as I focused back in the real world, I see Charmander cornering a wild Oddish seemingly waiting for my orders.

Oddish was slightly glowing with a green tint, I assume it used growth 1 or 2 times, it seems to get ready for an attack.

"Charmander, stand back, and use ember," I ordered as Charmander went to jump a few steps back as Oddish spewed out a purple liquid on where Charmander was.

'Is that acid?' the grass continue to melt as smoke rose from the ground.

Charmander whipped its tail as ember fired towards, hitting Oddish straight in the face, but it soon shook it off. Charmander was panting with sweat rolling down its face.

"Char..." I looked to see Charmander's tail started to die down a bit, seeing this, I made two conclusions, one was that this was Charmander's limited, and Charmander seemed to not have the ability {blaze}, this fact is terrible for me, as Blaze, in my opinion, is objectively better than Solar Power.

A pink aroma started to spread from Oddish, I knew this was Sweet Scent, meaning Oddish was stronger than Charmander at the current moment, while taking almost nothing of ember, Charmander is close to collapsing.

So, I grabbed Charmanders Pokeball from inside my sleeve and returned Charmander as I went to walk away from this battle.
