Charmander and I walked to that bicycle store we saw earlier, it had was quite small in size, but there were a lot of projects out for display in the window and inside the store as well.
The lowest-priced items were about 999,999 poke dollars, the most expensive seemed to be 9,999,999,999 poke dollars, but who knows what expensive thing they have around the back.
I walked up to the front desk, there was an old man who was busy fixing a damaged bicycle, I greeted him to take notice of me, "Good Night mister," I sent a wave and a smile.
He turned up his head and looked at me for a couple of seconds before saying, "Good Night, what are you doing up so late, don't you know it's closing time now."
I was slightly surprised, I myself didn't notice the time at all, must be because I'm not used to my age at all yet.
"No, I didn't, I was wondering if you have any skateboards or scooters, bicycles aren't really my style."
He paused once again, he seemed to be thinking before he answered, "Not your style, well too bad, you wouldn't find those anywhere near Kanto or the Orange Islands, you would possibly find them in Kalos but don't get your hopes up,"
He took one more look at me and then down to Charmander who was playing with the string of the bell on the desk and shook his head, "And by the way you're looking, you won't make it there."
I sighed as I turned around to leave, "Well, I guess I can't get anything then."
I reached the door before being called out, "Boy! wait there!"
I turned around and saw him getting up from the desk, and walking into the back room, it took a good 3 minutes before he came out again.
He brought out a Road Bike, it had quite a clean and simple design with it matching my own colors of red, black, brown, and yellow.
His neutral face gained a proud smile, "This, is the Newly invented Pokemon Trainer Bicycle, made for trainers who travel from city to city, over mountains and grass, from swamps to desserts, this is the perfect bike for a trainer."
I fell in love with it instantly, I always wanted a road bike, but I could never afford one in my original life, wait, but if this is new, then this should cost another trillion right?
"Um, how much is for the bike?"
The old man then went to laugh, "It's completely free,"
I was thoroughly surprised by this fact, what made this free.
"Why? is something wrong with it?"
He then waved his hand in the air, "No, no, it's the promotion surrounding this, One product of this bike is given to a bicycle shop around the region, each shop has its own contest on the winner who gets the bike."
"This shop's contest is Pokemon Photography, the contestant must complete a book with pictures of different Pokemon from different routes."
"Each route has one personnel of mine who issue an empty page with the names of Pokemon on the page you must take pictures of."
"So, would you compete?"
I contest I could actually win, what is this a dream. I mean, if I stay in routes longer I could take some time to train while taking those pictures, I could get my Pokemon as a whole more experienced with facing lots of different Pokemon.
I nod to myself before agreeing, "I'll take part, but I have to ask, besides me, how many others are taking part in this contest for this bike shop."
Hearing that I agreed he went back to this desk before taking out a blue paper with different slots.
"Besides you huh, two others, the first one started 4 days ago, the second started earlier today."
"And the time limit?"
"The time limit is two months before the Pokemon League starts, but keep in mind, the one who submits the full book first wins the bicycle.
I thought about that time period, Ash and Gary did return to Pallet two months before the league started, a full year of traveling, Gary was traveling in a car during that time, but he seemed to be going at the same pace but just slightly faster.
So, I signed my full name of, 'Hu Tao' and looked at the first in the list I should picture, and the that was Pokemon was, {Gyarados}.
