Chunin Exams 2

Ren simply looked at the unconscious Macko and smiled then flickered away back to his spot on the rooftop.

As the chunin exams continued, and Onoki was evaluating the participants while Ren was doing the same. He was looking for anyone with talent, who he could train and make loyal to him as the hidden stone was in need of new Kage level experts.

But as he watched the matches pass by he only became more disappointed with what he saw, the current generation of the hidden stone is complete trash, as he comes to the decision he could only wait for Gari's generation which should be in the next 3 or four years when he should already be born and be old enough to train.

POV Onoki

As Onoki sat seated next to the daimyo, he could only hope that he saw the fights and was impressed, but Onoki knew better this generation of new shinobi had been the worst since the founding of the village, with the only saving grace being Ren.

"Onoki how is this generation?" asks the daimyo

Pulled from his thoughts Onoki responded, "Lord daimyo, it certainly isn't the best but it still better than the rest of villages." Said Onoki lying through his teeth.

"Is that so?"

"Look the first match is starting, and it Ren."

"Ren?"

"Yes, he is the biggest genius of this village currently, and I have high hopes for him."

"Really, let's see his match."

As they watched the match between Macko and Ren the daimyo face kept changing from impressed to surprise, but he wasn't the only one as Onoki was also shocked by the skill en displayed creating his own Jutsu from both Evplosion release and storm release at his age was very impressive and he was sure he had many more, but Onoki expected nothing less.

"I see what you mean Onoki, the boy is very talented, are you grooming him?"

"Yes that's the plan, I think he would make a great Kage when I'm ready to retire."

Ren POv

Standing on the roof it was Ren's time to fight again, and this time he was up against a girl.

He flickered onto the field and looked at the black-haired girl standing in front of him.

"Everyone's present, let the match begin."

The girl didn't wait as she pulled the sword from her waist and sprinted towards Ren, Ren pull out a kunai defecting all her strikes as she comes at him with even more ferocity.

Ren has not moved from his spot since the fight started looks at his now tired opponent who has been attacking him for fifteen minutes and says.

"Why don't you just give up, you can't beat me."

"I will beat you, if not now later, but I won't give up."

Looking at the girl in front of him who looks to be nearly twelve Ren smiles and says

"You have no talent, you will never beat or surpass me but...." Ren didn't finish as he was interrupted

"Shut up, I know I have no talent, but that not everything, I will......." Ren interrupts her

"As I was saying, you have little talent, but you seem to have the mindset and willingness to go through a lot to become stronger, but you will never surpass me, but if you want to become stronger come find me after the exams are over, but for now let me show you how far apart we are."

Ren points one hand to the sky and the wind starts collecting around it compressing into one current as the ground beneath him starts to get slashes as not all the different wind currents are combined while some are strengthened and reflected into the ground.

"Wind Release: wind cutter"

Ren slashes his and downward as the field and stadium wall are cut deeply and his opponent is blown away from the collision.

"Without talent do you think you could do something like this?"

Ren says loud enough for his opponent he hears him, Hard work without talent could make you stronger but without talent could someone create a Jutsu like this one as easily as ren did it, or do it at all, he didn't know but he would like to see.

Hearing Ren's question the girl was shaken if that attack had hit her she would be cut cleanly onto the ground right now. she could not even see the attack hit the ground so she could not dodge it.

But her mindset remained firm as she answered.

"I believe I could, with time." She answered firmly.

"Good never lose that, and you will really be able to become someone strong, no matter how long it takes."

"Now you know the distance between us do you still want to continue?"

"No, there would be no reason, I surrender."
