"Yes, let him in," William said as the knight walked out and after a while, a knight with a red cape enter the room. "Welcome, Godwin Frost. I suppose you brought what I asked for."
Godwin greets William as he kneels down on his left knee and puts his right hand on his chest, making a fist. "Yes, my King, and May I have the permission to say something? There's something in my mind that's been bothering me for a while now." He said as he stood back up.
"Yes, go ahead," William replied.
"It's about recent events." He said. "I know there is a lot of development in Captain Alexander's case. However, there's very little that's been shared with anyone. Pardon me if come disrespectfully. Don't us all? I mean, the other captains have the right to this information. You all were like a family. I know there might be a traitor among the ranks, but I think this will be the right tactic to throw the perpetrator off the track if spread the words we know even if we don't know yet how it is. He'll bound to make a mistake that way."
"You are right, to an extent. However, it's not the right time and I somehow feel this was only the beginning of something big and dangerous. I pray to God that I am wrong. I'll let people of concern know when it is the right time. Since then, be cautious and ready for anything. Every other squad is on high alert, only your squad didn't receive this notice." King replied, "And I know about the incident that happen in the city today. Unfortunately, it turned out this way."
"There wasn't anything bad happen but I think Captain Norman is slacking off." He said in a serious tone.
"You might think this way. It's normal again given your situation." William replied.
"I don't understand. If you think this has something to do with my sister, then I think you are wrong." Godwin said as the expression and his tone shifted towards aggression.
"You've got the wrong idea, Godwin. I was just saying you guys always stay far from everything, so it's unlikely you'll receive information and news about the situation here and you should learn to relax. You are always on the edge. Take a hint from your sister." William replied with a little smile. "If you have anything further to discuss, go ahead, else you may leave now. I don't want to waste your precious time. Go enjoy yourself while you are here."
"Yes, my King, and the thing you've requested is outside in a cage. You better should put it somewhere away from sunlight and I shall take my leave now." Godwin replied and turned back left the room.
After Godwin left the palace, William asked a royal knight to take him to the cage. "Take the sheet off of the cage. I wanna see it," William said.
"But, my King, do you really want to do this?" Knight replied. "It's for your own safety."
"You know you're saying this to a King, right?" William replied. "And if I can't even handle one undead, I wouldn't have become a King."
"Yes, my king. Forgive my rudeness. It was foolish of me to speak that way." Knight said and bow down and move to remove the sheet off of the cage. As the sheet slid over the cage and sunlight hit the undead it jumped back up and hit the cage wall facing William and a loud roar echoed through the entire castle and in instant royal knights from all over the castle came rushing and surrounded the cage, shields, and swords facing the undead. "My King, it would be wise if we put the sheet back up before it gets out of the cage," Knight said.
"Yes, you can put the sheet back on and start moving it and follow me," William replied as all the knights surrounding the cage annoyed him by blocking his view.
"As you wish and the rest of you go back to your posts and you two come with me," Knight said pointing towards the two knights and asking them to pull the cart and started following the King. After following the king in the castle's backside, they enter a dark stairway in the middle of a lush green garden leading down to a dungeon.
"That's enough. You can go now." William said as stopped at a closed door. "I'll handle things myself from here."
"As you wish, my King." The Knight in front said as he put his right hand on his chest, saluting him, and went back and the other two knights followed him. "What could be in there that he doesn't want us to see? I mean, he's pretty calm, collective, and sometimes even a little friendly, not like other kings before, as far my knowledge of them goes and totally opposite to those scumbag nobles. I don't see him hiding something suspicious." A knight said.
"Shut your mouth, before anyone hears you." Knight in front said. "There're all kinds of secrets he wants to be hidden from everyone. He's king after all and it'll be better for both of you if mind your own business if you don't want to get in trouble."
William pushes the doors with both hands, revealing a pitch-black room, dark enough to not know how big it is. He walked in and move his hand in front of him and suddenly it was engulfed in bright yellow flames, revealing a long hallway made of bricks old enough to crumble into dirt. There were cells on both sides of the hallway. William continues walking and after going a little further in, he stops and waves his hand. Suddenly, the torches on the surrounding walls lit up. He turned towards a cell on his right and moved his hand pointing towards the entrance as the cart come flying in and he moves forward toward the wall and picks a crystal from a hole in the wall and moves the cart in the cell and opened the cage. As the undead slowly walked out, it turns towards William and slowly took a step, limping towards him. William moves the cage out of the cell with a wave of his hand and puts back the crystal in the hole. The undead kept limping towards him and suddenly hit an invisible wall and started grunting. A few moments later, and grunting noise echoed through the walls from further deep within the dungeon. William slowly walked towards the noise and the surrounding torches on the walls lightened up and stopped in front of a cell as an undead keeps banging his head on the side of the wall at a slow pace but as it saw William outside the cell it moved toward him, hit its head to the invisible wall and continue banging its head. "I wish you could take to me again. I really need to hear your voice to tell me I am doing alright. I don't have the light anymore. I can't see you and can't hear your voice again." William said in a sad voice as he walked forward and leaned his head on the magic wall against the undead. "I messed up. I couldn't keep my promise and now I don't know what to do. Recently I met with people, they had the answers and I forfeit the light, thinking it was the right thing to do. I thought I could save the world and become the savior I meant to be, but I don't even know where the light even is. Now she is in danger and she lost her love and I don't know how to tell her it'll be okay. I knew about her powers and purpose and I buried that knowledge, thinks no one will ever know and when the time will come, she'll be ready to do her part. Only I should know, and now there's someone else out there. And I don't know what to do. I wanted to protect my family and friends. I never wanted to be a King. I was just a boy who had the light. I am not made for this. If I keep walking in these shoes, I'll end up somewhere I don't want to be. I've already made a lot of wrong choices. If only could hear your voice again, all my worries would've faded away but now that day won't come again." William said as a tear rolled down his cheek. He slowly stepped backed from the cell and walked towards the entrance and all the torches went dark behind him.
