Chapter 39: A class
It's 10 PM, Kipo, Zet and Niora were on the top of Niora's building.
Zet : alright.....ready ?
Niora : I absolutely have no idea what's about to happen....so no.
Kipo : you'll like it...trust me.
Kipo and Zet wanted to do this before, but they didn't have the chance, they were busy, they wanted Niora to try Karen's soul flower tea.
Zet gave the cup to her.
Zet : listen here.....once you're in....don't freak out...got it ?
Niora looked worried at Zet, she then nodded and drank the tea.
Kipo and Zet watched her losing her consciousness, they then got their own cups.
Kipo : ready ?
Zet : I don't know why.....but I love this place.
Kipo chuckled.
Kipo : of course you do.
Zet : what's tha....
Kipo drank her tea.
Zet sighed.
Zet : whatever.
He drank his tea, he woke up on the other side, in the soul world.
Niora was looking around her, she was confused, she then saw Kipo and Zet as yellow and pink lights in body shapes.
Niora : Kipo ?.....Zet ?
Zet : yeah....it's us.
Niora : where the hell are we ?
Kipo : welcome to the soul world !
Niora then noticed all of their bodies, eyes closed, unconscious.
Niora : what happened to our bodies ?
Zet : they don't have a soul at the moment....they are just 3 meat sacks.
Kipo : look I'm sure you have way too many questions....to sum it up in one answer....you are in the souls world....the tea we drank is special.
Niora : ok but I have one more question.....why are you fully pink....but Zet is black and yellow ?
Zet : long story short....I was fully yellow....been through stuff....and now I'm black and yellow.....and Kipo is not fully pink....there is a white hole where her heart is.
Niora : let me guess....it's her...Kipo....point ?
Zet : pretty much.
Niora : so why are we here ?
Kipo : well....we thought that you should know about this place....by the way did you see your color ?
Niora then looked at herself.
Niora : I'm.....gray ?.....but my soul color is supposed to be white.
Zet : no....you're not like Kipo....but you're not like me either....so your soul color is between both....gray.
Kipo : remember what you told me...I'm yin and he's yang.....and you are the balance.
Niora took a look at herself again.
Niora : are we the only ones that can use this tea ?
Zet : honestly I don't know.....we are the only two that used it.
Niora : alright...I want to leave now...I need to go somewhere.
Kipo : ok....just close your eyes....and open them.
Niora did so, she woke up, Zet and Kipo saw her leave them.
Kipo : we should come back now.
Kipo closed her eyes.
Zet : Kipo wait.
Kipo opened her eyes before she woke up.
Kipo : huh ?
Zet : I wanted to get you here...I want to show you something ?
Kipo : ok ?
Zet : so I'm pretty sure you sensed something wrong yesterday.....with my attitude.
Kipo : yeah...but I just went with it.
Zet : well I did this because Niora told me what you told her.
Kipo : oh.
Zet : yeah....so that's why I want to show you this...touch me.
Kipo : anywhere ?
Zet : yeah.
Kipo then put her hand on his heart, Zet's black color changed, it turned pink.
Kipo : it's pink....wait....why ?
Zet : so I think in this world when 2 souls are close enough to each other.....they can change each other's colors.
Kipo : this is me doing this ?
Zet : yeah....this is you.
Zet then grabbed her hand and looked at the ground, he started turning pink.
Zet : I want to apologize to you.....I realized when she told me that I loved you because of who you are....and I tried to change you for the same reason...I wanted to make you stronger the way I wanted....which was the opposite of what you are.....it was more of what I am.....Niora helped me realize that I've been wrong this whole time....you are way better than to be like me.....I may be reckless sometimes....arrogant....annoying when I get angry....but I know one thing that you taught me....you can change to the better version of yourself no matter how much you think it's impossible....all you need is the right person to show you the way.
Zet then looked behind him, he saw Kipo's body, its eyes were crying, he looked back at her.
Zet : so....what I'm trying to say is...I'm so sorry for trying to change who you are....and from now on...I will train you to be a better fighter....and only.....a fighter.....I'll leave changing others to you.
Kipo was staring at him, Zet can't see her facial expression, she was speechless, Zet then noticed that her hair was glowing when he looked at her body.
Kipo then came close to him and kissed him as her soul form, her color started slowly turn yellow, and Zet's black side was turning pink.
When she was done she hugged him tight, but still, she didn't say anything, she then started laughing.
Zet : what's so funny ?
Kipo : I just can't measure how lucky I am to have you.
Zet : well....we have the same thought here.....I love you.....a lot.
Kipo : I literally don't want to spend a day without you.
Zet then looked at her, she was starting to glow bright, he then looked at his body, he was glowing pink and yellow too.
Zet : hey....look at us....we are glowing pink and yellow....both of us.
Kipo : huh ?
Kipo looked at their bodies.
Kipo : yeah.....they are....will they stay like this ?
Zet : I don't know....but I'm guessing not.
Kipo : why ?
Zet : if you want to change a soul's color permanently....you'll have to do it through life events....for now...only touching each other will change our colors.
Kipo then looked back at him.
Kipo : hey can I do something really quick before we leave ?
Zet : sure.
She came closer and kissed him again.
Zet : you love doing this....don't you ?
Kipo : yes.....very much.
Zet and Kipo then closed their eyes and woke up.
Kipo saw him looking at her.
Zet : so...I want to ask one thing from you.
Kipo : anything.
Zet : I don't want you to be afraid to tell me anything.....I don't deserve you if I'm not here to listen to you....can you do that ?
Kipo smiled at him.
Kipo : of course....I just don't want to tell you stuff that would make us fight over them...I don't want to get angry and just say stuff about you...I did it once.....why wouldn't it happen again.
Zet : simple....we all make mistakes to learn from them.....it's not like any of us can control ourselves when we are angry.
Kipo : yeah....that's pretty much true.
Zet : but....we have the solutions right here.....it's us...I keep you from destroying someone's feelings.....and you keep me from killing someone.
Kipo chuckled.
Kipo : deal.
They got off the roof and started walking back to their tent.
Zet sighed.
Zet : I'll miss this.
Kipo : what are you talking about ?
Zet : this place....these people...us.
Kipo : us ?
Zet : when we leave this place we won't be able to show anybody that we are together.
Kipo : I mean....we can.....but it still depends on you.
Zet : yeah I know....and this is like the most encouraging and stressful part about it.....I'm doing this for you...and at this time...I don't want to say it for you.
Kipo : let me guess....you're worried if my father didn't want it to happen ?.....or Sarah commenting on it ?
Zet : yeah...I don't want them to judge....because it happened before and didn't work....and they don't know why it worked now.....only you know why.
Kipo then kissed him on his cheek.
Kipo : well this is your choice.....do you want to be with me or not ?
Zet : yes...of course I do.
Kipo : then tell them.....because I want to be with you too.....since when you started caring about what anybody says about you....and let's be honest....even if they don't like it.....it's not like anyone can do anything about it.
They reached the tent and prepared to sleep.
Zet chuckled.
Zet : see ?.....literally no one would talk to me like this.
Kipo : yeah....that's why I'm here silly.
Zet : good night.
Kipo : good night.
The next morning, it's 9 AM.
Niora just woke up, yesterday she went to Karen, she was interested in knowing about the soul flower tea.
Yesterday.....
Niora knocked on the door, Ron opened.
Ron : queen Niora ?
Niora : hi....is Karen awake ?
Ron : yeah....she is reading....come in.
Niora entered and saw Karen sitting in a chair with a book in her hand, Karen saw her, she started talking to her in sign language.
Niora : sorry...I can't understand you...Ron right ?...can you translate for me ?
Ron (Karen) : my queen.....what a pleasant surprise.
Niora : hi Karen.....I'm glad to see you again.
Ron (Karen) : so how I can be of help today ?
Niora : so I just came back from our soul tea session with Kipo and Zet.....and I have some questions about it.
Ron (Karen) : do you have any suspicions ?.....or are you interested ?
Niora : no....I'm very interested in knowing more about it....and the soul world.
Ron (Karen) : go ahead.
Niora : so what is this tea exactly made of ?
Ron (Karen) : only the soul flower in a water.
Niora : and where did you get it ?
Ron (Karen) : this flower only blooms once every 11 years on top of mountains.....I got them from the temple I used to raise Zet a long time ago.
Niora : temple ?
Ron (Karen) : he didn't tell you about it ?
Niora : no.
Ron (Karen) : you might want to sit down....this is a long story.
Niora then sat on a chair next to Karen.
Ron (Karen) : the temple where Zet came from is the only temple in the world that is meant to be for you.....wonderkids....or as what your actual titles were....shadow kids.....there are 8 wonderkids in the world.....each one of you has a special power....animals...strength.....fire....plants....lightning....mind....ghost....and you...wind....you are all supposed to be delivered by your parents to the temple....so you dedicate your life into becoming rulers of the world.
Niora : so were are meant to be evil ?
Ron (Karen) : yes...all of you.....and I was one of the masters....the ones that should've trained you.
Niora : and what happened ?
Ron (Karen) : thanks to Zet....the temple is no longer a thing.....and all the masters are dead...but me.....I hope.
Niora : did he kill them all ?
Ron (Karen) : when Zet was younger....about 4 years ago....he had a specific experience....which led to him to use his full potential for once....and destroying the whole temple and everyone in it.....I was the only one who ran away and survived.
Niora : what happened to him ?
Ron (Karen) : I'm sorry....but this information is what he has to tell you....I'm guessing that no one knows about it but me and his girlfriend.
Niora : alright....tell me more about the soul world.
Ron (Karen) : the soul world is where your body does not exist....and your true form does....there are no rules of time or space....and your imagination is unlimited.
Niora : are we the only ones that can use it ?
Ron (Karen) : no....everyone can use it....but I don't think anyone knows about this recipe...I go there a lot of times.
Niora : what about the colors ?
Ron (Karen) : all souls start white colored when they are born.....and based on the events of their life.....it can turn either black....or stay as white....but not you....you wonderkids are special.....you are the only ones that have different colors.
Niora : when I saw my soul color....it was gray....why ?
Ron (Karen) : I'm guessing you are wondering why it's not white.
Niora : yes.
Ron (Karen) : that is because all humans have a white colored soul...your soul is not gray because you've experienced anything that changed it.....this is your actual soul color.
Niora looked at the ground.
Niora : when you said that you can turn black....is this what happened to Zet ?
Ron (Karen) : I haven't seen his soul.
Karen then grabbed a soul tea and poured it into two cups.
Ron (Karen) : care to show me ?
Niora took the cup from her and they drank it, their bodies rested at the chairs as the their eyes slowly closed.
Niora woke up, she is in the soul world, she started looking for Karen.
Karen : over here.
Niora heard a voice, but she didn't recognize it, she saw a short woman in her early 30's looking at her.
Niora : Karen ?
Karen : yes....this is me.
Niora : you can talk ?
Karen : as I told you.....imagination is limited.....this is not my actual voice.
Niora : what about the body ?
Karen : in the soul world....you can imagine either something new.....or live a memory again.....this is me when I was 29.
Niora : so how do I show you ?
Karen : first.....you need to think of Zet....and then bring back that memory where you saw his soul.
Niora closed her eyes and tried, moments after, a body of yellow energy appeared.
Karen : you did it.
Niora opened her eyes.
Niora : no....this is not him.
Karen : huh ?
Niora : this is not his full image.
Karen : alright then.....try again.
The yellow body disappeared, and a new one showed up, it started walking towards them, it stood in front of Karen.
Karen : this is the same one.
Niora : I'm not done.
The yellow body started slowly turning black on the left side, starting from the heart and moving all the way to the head, it turned into a black and yellow body with multiple broken spots in it.
Karen saw it, she was scared, her eyes widened, she started crying.
Niora opened her eyes.
Niora : this is how his soul really looks like.
Karen didn't talk, she was looking at him.
Niora saw her.
Niora : but.....there is one more thing to add.
Karen waited as Niora closed her eyes.
A small pink hole appeared on the body's heart, surrounded by the black color.
Niora : this...
Karen : Kipo....this is Kipo's soul.
Karen was in shock, her mouth was opened, her eyes were widened.
Karen : sh.....she is the one.
Karen then started chuckling with happiness.
Niora : Karen ?
Karen : she is the one !
Niora : what do you mean ?
Karen : one in every 300 wonderkids is even more special than the others.....this one wonderkid's soul is different.....it can change other souls colors into theirs...Kipo is way more special than she thinks.
Niora : wait....she can change anyone ?
Karen started imagining.
Karen : long time ago....a shadow kid was born...his name was Azano.....he was a ghost shadow kid.....he was special to have the ability to change other's souls.....he had the ability to change anyone....but in order to do this....he had to be someone important to the ones he changes.
Niora : was he a bad guy ?
Karen : they were all evil....all they thought they were born for is to rule the world.....and Kipo is the first wonderkid to be able to change souls.
Niora : what happens to Zet if they stay like this ?
Karen : later.....he won't have black and white anymore....he will have pink and yellow only.
Niora : and if they don't ?
Karen : I'm afraid that Zet will break down.....it happened to him once and half of his body turned black from it.....it happens again....and he will be a lost soul.
Niora : will his soul turn all black ?
Karen : it's worse....his soul will lose its colors.....and it will become just like any dead soul.
Karen then came closer to Niora, she looked her in the eyes.
Karen : I need you to promise me.....I can't come with you.....but you will....I need you to keep them together....no matter how bad it gets between them....please....try to put them back together.....Zet is my son I never gave birth to....I need you to keep them safe.....if she dies...he wouldn't want to live anymore.
Niora looked at Karen and nodded.
Karen then stepped back.
Karen : I think you should leave now.
Niora : before I leave...I need to ask you something.
Karen : hm ?
Niora : all what happened to Zet.....will it happen to me ?
Karen chuckled.
Karen : tell me....have you ever wondered why you can see the past but not the future in here?
Niora : huh ?
Karen : it's because the future is something only you can decide.....what would happen to you will be according to your choices.....don't think about it too much.....what will happen later in your life is not what's supposed to happen....but it's what you choose to happen.
Niora smiled.
Niora : thank you.
Karen nodded.
Niora closed her eyes and was about to wake up.
Niora : aren't you coming ?
Karen : no....I think I'll stay here for more time.
Niora woke up, Ron was waiting for her.
Ron : you're awake.....is she going to wake up ?
Niora got up, she saw Karen's blanket near her, she grabbed it and covered her, she headed to the door
Niora : let her be....she'll stay there for a while.
