Mid-term Assessments

The young boy's room had been a mess with books and papers for the past few days i.e. a week. As soon as he came from school, the first thing he did was clean his rather chaotic room: gather and organize his books, fold his clothes and put them in the cupboard and throwing out the trash.

After a nice warm bath and a change of clean clothes, he picks up his tape recorder and sits down on the wooden floor. His hand constantly rubbing his hair with a towel to dry them.

With a push of a button, the tape starts rolling.

"~° Kang Hanjun, Voice Log Day= I have no idea °~"

"Sorryyyyyy! Mr. tape recorder. I didn't mean to ignore you. Well, I wasn't ignoring you at all but just that I wasn't able to record at all. I've just been so busy with the exams that I couldn't spare a moment to whine about my life."

"Anyway I'm sorry that I made you feel left out. I didn't mean to, and to apologize, I shall now use this spray that I bought on my way back home to make you squeaky & shiny and fulfill my promise to decorate you."

"So, here I have some washi tapes, some stickers and I bought this avengers keychain too that I think would look really cool. Now that I think about it..... should have bought some spray paint instead of this shiner spray. Whatever, what's done is done."

The boy unpacks all the stuff to give the tape recorder a new modern aesthetic look and starts cleaning it meticulously while letting out whatever was going on his mind.

"So, I did pretty good on my mid-terms assessments. I think a few silly mistakes might still be there, but I am human after all so that's bound to happen."

"I wouldn't usually study this much or care about my grades but after what happened a few months ago and how my parents cared and supported me, I thought I was such an ungrateful brat that I wanted to study hard and be a good son to them. So I'm just hoping that I'd get at least 90% to get them to be proud of me."

"I really worked hard so I just hope it all pays off. I'm not dumb that I can't even score good after studying the life out of me, hehe."

"Do you remember the girl that confessed to me? Good, because she's my classmate and she gives me glares and avoids me like crazy. Not that the other kids don't avoid me as well but still. I wanted to talk to her and sort things out but with exams and all, I didn't get a chance to talk things out with her. I'm really in need for some advice so, care to help a friend out?"

After a minute or two of silence, Hanjun replies to the imaginary advice that he received from his tape recorder.

"So, you're saying that I should talk to her in class? But, I don't want to talk in front of a crowd. It gives me the chills."

"..."

"Hmm... during the break? call her out and talk to her alone? That's a good idea. Thank you! I'll be sure to do it on Monday. Now, this weekend will feel like an eternity to me. Ughhhh!"

"I should do really do it on Monday instead of delaying it because now there's gonna be a festival and after that summer vacations are going to start. WOOOHOOO! Summer vacations. A break from school. awesome~~~~ Can't wait!"

"Well I'll clock out for today, listen to some songs, look at some dance choreographies on the net and call it a day. Thanks again for listening to my rants. Love ya. Byeee~~~"

"~° This was Kang Hanjun. 23rd_April_#### °~"

And with his cheerful goodbye tone, he presses the 'stop' button, indicating the end of his log. He was finished giving his tape recorder a new sick Instagram post worthy look. Satisfied by his work, he carefully puts the tape recorder back on the stand and surfs through the web to waste time.
