Your phone rings, telling you to wake up, and you reach out to stop it from disturbing your sleep. You yawn as you slowly rise from your bunk, glancing at the time. 5:30 am, your phone says, and you groan painfully. After the Presidential mission, you realize just how cushy the job was, being able to sleep in and have long hours of break; you'd never thought you'd miss being able to sleep in that badly.

You head over to the washroom to prepare for the day and in the midst of doing so, your phone rings once more. You glance at it and see that you've received a message from Balogh. "Briefing room at six. Altug wants to add a new member to the squad." You raise an eyebrow at this, but you quickly finish up your morning rituals and head over to the mess hall to get a quick breakfast first.

As you enter the mess hall, a few of the other First Privates there give you a quick nod and you nod back to them. Ever since returning back from the Presidential mission, everyone has been treating you and your team with more respect. Of course, protecting a world leader would have that effect, you think to yourself, but you're certain that anyone would have been able to do what you did, right?

That's what you originally thought, until you heard some of the stories that have been circulating about your mission; mostly about defusing a bomb at the very last second before it could explode and take out the entire city and fending off twenty opponents at the same. You've tried to do something about it, but the stories persist, always culminating with how you were robbed of a promotion due to political reasons. That part usually gets a chuckle out of you, though.

As you finish eating, a few privates come to your table and start to talk to you for a while. You respond appropriately, seeing that they're only there to be friendly with you, then you stand up and excuse yourself, telling them that you have a briefing to attend. They nod and watch as you clear your tray and leave the mess hall.

At least that part of the proceedings went like normal, you think as you head to the briefing room.
