Verdict

The Coven of magic served as the court of appeals for those who disobeyed the law. And were forced to face the consequences of their actions in the magical world. The Coven took up a position in the judgment chair, as did Mark's principal. His eyes met mine with a flicker of emotion, but he averted his gaze away before I could comprehend what he was feeling.

"So, Ms. Hart, can you explain what this Mr. White did?" It cloaked the members in long black coats so I couldn't see their faces; it was my first encounter with a Coven of Magic.

"When Mr. White asked me to accompany him on the dance floor, I declined, enraged him, and he grabbed my arm and tried to force himself on me." They cut my statements short.

"This is not true. I did not do it; instead, this woman attempted to seduce me, which I declined, and when she used her magic on me, I took action to save myself, pushing her away. When Ms. Hart discovered her team, she pretended to be the victim while I was attempting to prevent her from harming me." Bryce spoke with confidence. I could see his bruises were healing from Hudson and Colton's punches. I could see Eva smiling at me wickedly. So did she plan this with Bryce?

"It's not true at all..."

"Enough already, Ms. Hart. I have heard you and Mr. White's statements, and because the evidence is lacking, we cannot take action against Mr. White." The Coven delivered their verdict, and it left me speechless. The decision enraged my team, and Bryce gave me a smug smile. I wanted to smack him, but I restrained my rage. I know Eva has only begun her torturous game with me, and I will not back down at this point.

"I apologize for not being able to intervene because this matter did not involve a related team, and we could not..." A dejected-sounding Xavier emerged from the seat to respond. I drew him close to me to speak in Xavier's ears. My sudden movement startled him, but he did not comment.

"Xavier Eva did it, and she and Bryce had this all planned out for me." Hearing this, Xavier's hand tightened slightly on mine, and his eye grew cold. It drew my gaze to the other members of my team, who were staring at us and trying to figure out what we were saying in secret.

"Say nothing here, Aria. If you're okay with it, I'll take you out to the magical café shop tomorrow after our training." When Xavier asked, I noticed his cheeks were just a tad blushed.

"I'm not interested if it's a date, Xavier."

"I don't intend to do that." We need a safe place to talk about Eva because the team members' eyes are burning a hole in our backs." Xavier whispered, and I nodded in agreement, embarrassed because I assumed he was asking for a date, and Xavier smiled at my embarrassed expression.

"What are you two saying in such hushed tones?" Hudson strode towards me, and my gaze fell on his ocean eyes. I could see a tinge of jealousy, but why are we so unacquainted, or am I just seeing things? I regained myself from losing myself in ocean blue eyes, and my gaze fell everywhere except on Hudson.

"Nothing, Xavier, is reassuring me about the incorrect verdict the coven magic delivered." Hudson stared at me, not believing my words, and seeing Xavier's hand holding mine was comforting because I felt at a loss hearing the verdict so unjustly. Finally, I tried to break free from Xavier's grip, and he let go of me.

"Hudson, stop staring at Aria; she's already been in a lot of trouble today, so stop giving her a suspicious glare, and you shouldn't meddle in other people's business." Hudson's eye snapped at him as he replied calmly, and I could tell he wanted to argue with Xavier, but he said nothing. Maggie smiled slyly from the other side, seeing how close I was to Xavier. I sighed at her reaction, and Alpha Colton locked his gaze on mine for a split second before walking away, following Hudson.

"Aria, I'll see you tomorrow," Xavier said as he walked away, and Maggie gave me a tease as she looked at Xavier's walking figure and then at me.

"Stop teasing, smile at me, and let us go. I'm exhausted and need some rest." I growl at the cheerful Maggie, who nods her head in understanding. Finally, I changed from my party clothes into pajamas, and sleep came quickly because my body was exhausted.

I put on my gym outfit and walked to the gym under the basement of this wing with Maggie, who is exceptionally chatty. I try to concentrate on my workout, but it isn't easy. After getting ready and eating breakfast, I head to the room where I am supposed to learn the combat with Hudson.

As I approached the main room of the combat room, I noticed that many other women were waiting outside the door. Why were they waiting here? Were they also scheduled for training with Hudson? Then, just as I was about to walk through the door. A hand pulled me to where other females were waiting, and the door closed behind me. I tried to throw a punch but stopped when my eyes connected with the ocean blue.

"You scared me, Hudson; why did you pull me this way?" I yelled at him. This guy is an obnoxious figure.

"Didn't you notice the women's queue outside the main gate?" He asked with a scowl; then he walked away from me and turned on the light, which illuminated the room and brought the spacious room into my vision.

"Are those women scheduled to train with you as well?" He came to a complete stop and turned to face me.

"Are you serious? You do not know how many women were waiting for me. Why would I train those women? I'm not a professor; I only train with my team." Hudson responded to my questions in a way that annoyed me.

"Are we going to train or not?" I growled back, and Hudson threw a punch at me at the last second, which I dodged, and he smirked at me.

"You're so quick that I thought I caught you off guard," Hudson spoke as he threw the next punch at Abdomen. I blocked him, used my leg to hit him, and knocked him off balance, but Hudson blocked my attack. But I lost my balance and dragged Hudson along with me, landing on top of Hudson and his ocean gaze made me shudder as he gave me an intense look. The air changed around me, but I quickly entangled myself. We keep training for an hour.

"Let us take a rest." But unfortunately, I made the mistake of opening the main gate rather than the room's back door, and when the women noticed Hudson, they threw me aside and dashed toward him like mad women.
