Chapter 8: Lodging

After walking back to the fountain, they were astonished to see students coming from the red path. They are wearing different clothes and not the like in high school where everyone has to wear a uniform. They only recognized them as students from the books they are carrying and also the badges pinned somewhere in their clothes.

"Whooaaa, mature…" Josh can't help but stare in the mature air those young adults have in them.

"Oh, the new batch? How cute! Wait, Lisa, look!. On the back! The guy with dark blue hair looks handsome!"

"Where?"

"There, there!"

Josh suddenly saw someone pointing at him and he got startled so he hid by crouching down.

'W-what? Why is she pointing at me?'

Josh is new to the presence of girls since he graduated from an all-boys high school.

"Oh, he hid! How cuuute~ Hahaha, maybe I should have a boyfriend already?"

"I don't care, May. You're just all talk haha!"

"Why?! Even you haven't had any yet too!"

After the group of students get on their way toward the blue path, Rowick appeared in front of the students.

"Ohh, I thought it will take you guys more time. Okay, now that you're done on awakening, you should go and rest in the dormitories. The way to it is this blue path. The red path is for the academic and training grounds. Tomorrow, I expect you to be in the quadrangle in front of the academic building at 8 am sharp. Don't be late!"

After Rowick said that, he disappeared from his spot.

The new batch of students including Josh walked through the blue path.

After passing through the end of it, they were greeted with multiple buildings with differing shades of blue. The leftmost one has a sky-blue color while the rightmost one has a dark blue color. There are three buildings, with the center one having a normal blue color.

"Good Day new students! I'm Lara! I am in charge of managing the students' dormitories. The stay here is free! Also, the food in the school cafeteria is also free, but it has only one dish different only for each eating time. But you don't have to worry about fun and whatnot, you can go out of the academy freely to have these, we are in the heart of a city and a capital at that, so those are not problems."

"The gate as you know is at the end of the starry black path in the south."

"Okay, you may now go to the sky-blue dormitory. After that, you may do anything. Ah! By the way, the other two are for your seniors. The last one is for the graduating ones. If you don't like the dormitories, you can also stay at inns or your own homes outside the academy, but I recommend at least trying to live here at the academy for a year to properly adjust yourself. That's all!"

"Oh wait! One last thing, the corridors, and rooms have arrays in them to observe the students. Each room has a distress alarm while the corridors have cameras. You are not allowed to do anything illicit nor illegal in the dorms, you will be punished."

Lara walked past them toward the path after saying her part.

Josh with the new students entered the sky-blue building. Upon entering, they were given room cards and keys at the reception.

Josh's number is 115. He took at stairs instead of the elevator to see more of the building. The building has sky-blue as its walls, white as its ceiling, and wood-like tiles as floor.

He entered his room upon reaching his floor and unloaded his backpack. He put his clothes and hygiene pack on the table provided. Then, he didn't wash or do anything as he hugged Polar Panda and swiftly laid in the bed.

'Ughh… I think I used up all my luck this time…'

'I need to sleep…'
