I Want to Fly Again

Stein stumbled, holding his head, and eventually collapsed.

"Stein!" The captain and the old psychiatrist caught him.

But he didn't lose consciousness this time. He did not close his eyes, and forced himself to keep his wits about him. He gritted his teeth as beads of sweat flowed...

And for a long time, he just heaved there, and being asked many concerned questions by the two men beside him. Yet he paid no attention to them, and focused don't the images flash in his mind.

His eyes made rapid movements, similar to how someone does during a dream.

He was experiencing and living a life while being awake at the same time. The strain sometimes felt like it would tear him apart like a rag doll, the stitches unraveling. Yet he managed to hold on to his parts and keep himself together. 

Once he calmed down, he gasped heavily.
