Shadow Knights Rule!

Sunny and Fang talking in homeroom.

Sunny: What?! Theater?! So you actually joined a club?

Fang: Yeah I did *Clears throat* I mean, I'm not going to do anything too crazy, I figured I could just play some small roles and see if the club is even for me.

Sunny: Have you ever been in a play before?

Fang: When I was a little kid. I was in a few small plays and stuff. But I liked it, and I kind of want to try it now that I'm in high school.

Sunny: Hahaha! That's awesome, Travis! I'll come to all of your plays and stuff.

Fang: Really!? Well, wait, what if I get cast as a rock or something?

Sunny: Hmm, then you'll be the best rock you can be! I know it!

Fang: Y-You really believe in me?

Sunny: Absolutely. I'll be cheering you on in the audience. Even if I make a fool of myself by doing so.

Fang: Tha-Thanks. That- That's really sweet of you.

Teacher: *Camera turns to see him and another student (Vylad), who is crouching next to him, looking around* All right, students, settle down. I know we're in our homeroom period right now, but I have an announcement to make. We have a new transfer student joining our class! Everyone, welcome Vylad Ro'Meave!

Vylad: Hi!

Teacher: Wait, Ro'Meave. Does that mean you're related to-

Vylad: Yup! That emo kid in the back row is my older brother. Hey, bro! *He waves at Zane*

Zane: Agh! Shut up, Vylad!

Vylad: Well, that's one way to say hello. Heheh.

Teacher: Well, I didn't know you had another sibling, Zane. It must be nice to have two brothers in the same school. Now Vylad, take a seat. Everyone, be sure to make him feel at home.

Vylad: *Walks over to Zane* Zane! Boy, am I glad you're here.

Zane: Ugh, whatever. Just stay away from me. It's bad enough I have to babysit you in high school.

Vylad: Uh, oh, heh, ok Zane, um, cool, um, I'll see you around! Heheh. *He walks off, bent over a bit*

Sunny: *Sees him walking closer* Uh, uh, Hey Vylad! My name is Sunny! It's nice to meet you.

Vylad: *Straightens up and turns to her* Hey! Oh, wow. I wasn't expecting anyone to talk to me so soon.

Sunny: Hehe! Well, we just started this year of high school ourselves, so I kinda know how it feels to be new and alone. Hehehe! Oh, uh, speaking of which, this is my not-alone buddy, Fang.

Fang: Hey Vylad, nice to meet ya!

Vylad: Same to you Fang. It's kind of nice that you approached me like that, Sun-meow. Uh, sorry, is that how you say your name?

Sunny: Haha! Ah, no, *Fang shakes his head behind her* but close enough. Don't worry. A lot of people have a hard time pronouncing my name. Heh!

Fang: Uh, Hey! Sunny! Vylad isn't going to take my not-alone buddy away from me, is he?

Vylad: Huh? That's a "not alone buddy"?

Sunny: Oh, right. It's uh, something Fang and I came up with on our first day, heheh. It's so we wouldn't feel so, awkward, and lonely. A-and no, Fang, no one is going to stop us from being not-alone buddies. It's a part of being in the club. Hm!

Fang: We have a club?

Sunny: O-Of course!

Fang: Man, there's more to this than I even knew...

Sunny: Hehehehe!

Fang: ...are there at least cool jackets we get for being in this?

Sunny: Heheh! No. There are not.

Fang: Aww man!

Sunny: Hehe! But the first rule is that nobody is ever alone. And the second rule is that anyone can be a buddy!

Vylad: R-Really?

Sunny: Mm Hm!

Vylad: That's great, but... It's kinda a strange name. Maybe we could change it to something else?

Sunny: Pft! What could we possibly change it to?

Vylad: I don't know, something like... Friends? *Shrugs*

Sunny: Uh, Mmmm.

Fang: That does sound pretty cool.

Sunny: Ha! Hmm... We'll think about it. So, new not-alone buddy, what do you do for fun?

Vylad: Hmm, I just like to sit around and hang out.

Sunny: Ah, me too! Heh.

Fang: Oh my God, we have so much in common!

Sunny: Hehe! Though to be fair, I've been thinking about getting into something like a sport, kinda.

Vylad: A sport? Nice.

Sunny: Mm hm. Do you do any?

Vylad: Well, my mom made me sign up for fencing classes. I've been doing that for awhile, now.

Sunny: Hmm, fencing.

Fang: You get to play with swords? Cool!

Vylad: Yeah, it's really not that cool. I mostly fight saber. It has the least rules. Wait- Is there a fencing team here?

Sunny: Hmmm...

Fang: Erm, I don't think so?

Vylad: Perfect! One less thing I'll have to do. Maybe now I can quit taking lessons, too.

Sunny: Ah! You don't like playing with swords? Oh, that sounds like it would be so awesome! I'd love to do that.

Vylad: Well, you can play with swords all you want. It's not my thing. My mom said each of us had to play at least one sport. Vaele took baseball, I chose fencing.

Shnng: Wait, V-Vaele?! So you're also Vaele's little brother? A-a-and that guy *Looks over at Zane* is your brother? So you're all related?

Vylad: Yep! We're fondly called the Ro'Meave brothers. Though Zane over there would like to stay as far away from that title as possible.

Sunny: (to herself) "Uh, that's Garroth's brother? *Looks over at Zane, who is slouched over his chair, on his phone* I never would have guessed." So, what sport was he forced to play?

Vylad: Heh, Zane's the exception. Mom says he's sensitive. Doesn't want any sport to rough him up.

Sunny: Uh, what's living with him like?

Vylad: Living with Zane?

Sunny: Yeah. I mean, he's so quiet, I barely even realize he's here. Whenever we see him, it's like, I don't know. Something is always bothering him. Is- Is he just like that?

Vylad: Not always. He wanted to go to O'khasis Prep, but he didn't get in.. The last thing Zane wanted was to go through high school in Vaele's shadow.

Sunny: Hmm.

Fang: That must be rough.

Vylad: Well, at least Zane thinks so. I have no problem with it. I knew he wasn't too happy about being here, but I didn't think he'd be this salty. Anyway, to answer your question, he's not always like that. Sometimes he can be a good brother. Sometimes. He and Vaele sometimes get along, but he's going through this phase right now of "darkness and pain".

Sunny: Uh-

Vylad:(aside to himself) "I swear it's just because he didn't get the first slice of cake this morning."

Sunny: Huh?

Vylad: He's not too fond of me, but he and Vaele fight more often these days. Must be a thing.

Sunny: A brother thing? Wait, aren't you his brother too?

Vylad: Well yeah. But all that sounds like a lot of work. And who wants to do that?

Sunny: Hm, well, don't worry about Zane. I'm sure he'll get over it. It must be tough for him. Maybe we should try to invite him to *Bell rings*

Fang: Ah, there's the bell. I've got bio, and I need to be early to that class in order to get the best seat!

Sunny: Hm, heh, Ah... Lucky! I have werewolf class! *Sighs loudly*

Fang: Ouch! You still weren't able to get out of that?

Sunny: Eh, nope. Apparently I'm stuck there for the rest of the year. *Sighs* Good luck you guys. I'll see you two tomorrow.

Fang: See ya!

Sunny: Hm, Bye Fang! *Travis walks away* Heheh *Sighs* So, what class do you have, Vylad?

Vylad: I've got Home Ec. People still teach that class?

Sunny: Oh, nice! That class is awesome! I call it second lunch. Hehehehe!

Vylad: Ah! Do you take it?

Sunny: Um, pth. No, I don't. Heheh. Ugh.

Vylad: I don't understand. I don't remember signing up for this class.

Sunny: Uh, yeah. The same thing happened to me. There must be some problem in the registration office. Um, you should probably head there and try to change that ASAP.

Vylad: Well, I can do that after school. But I really need to get going. *Walks a ways down the hallway*

Sunny: Ok! *Sees that Vylad stopped* Uh-

Vylad: ... Now how do I get there?

Sunny: Heheheh. HAHAHA! You've asked the right person. Hehe!

Vylad: I did?

Sunny: Mm hm! Of course! I'm kind of a hall master at this point. I've gotten lost so man times, I pretty much know my way around.

Vylad: that doesn't sound reassuring at all.

Sunny: Haha! You can trust me. Come on, I'll get you to Home Ec in one piece. Alright?

Vylad: Alright, I trust ya!

Sunny: Heh, follow me!

Vylad and Sunny talking in front of Vylad's Home Ec class, then he goes inside and Aphmau looks around and leaves. She runs through the hallway.

Sunny: *Panting and running* I gotta get to class so- *Sees Gene and the Shadow Knights sitting in their spot* Huh?

Stranger (Sasha) Who did that guy think he was?

Zenix: He blatantly ignored us!

Gene: He's the new trouble maker on the block.

Sasha: So you're saying he can take you, Gene?

Gene: Tsk. I don't need to fight.

Zenix: I've heard he's won all the fights he's been in so far.

Sasha: It's been like, what, five fights? I lost count.

Sunny: *Quietly, so the SK can't hear* Uh...

Zenix: Yeah, but the school can't do anything because no one can prove it was him. But come on, how dumb can the adults be? He's all scratched with bandages, and we've seen the fights. They're just over before anyone can get there.

Gene: Chill. If we get in a fight with him, I can take em'.

Sasha: So confident, Gene. Oohh!

Sunny: *Quietly, so the SK can't hear* I need to get to class!

Zenix: Stop drooling, Sasha. It's pathetic.

Sunny: *Quietly, so the SK can't hear* Uh...

Sasha: Jealous?

Gene: You two, finish that tag and we'll head to the coffee shop. *Sunny starts trying to walk by them* Don't wanna be around here longer than I have to- *Sees Sunny* Huh? Well, look at who we have here. You're that girl who was hanging out with Laurance the other day at the park.

Sunny: Hmph!

Gene: What's wrong? Oh, *He walks closer* let me guess. Kai told you not to talk to us, huh.

Sunny: No! Well, kinda, sorta. Why does it matter to you?

Gene: Wow. So he's spreading rumors about us then. Heh, *Comes a step closer to Sunny* come on, are you really going to believe what he says? You haven't even taken the time to get to know me!

Sunny: I-, uh,

Gene: Kinda rude to judge a book by it's cover, *Comes closer to Sunny* isn't it?

Sunny: I'd love to talk to you, but I need to go to class now. I'm already late, and-

Gene: *Steps even closer* What's the rush? Do you see us going to class? We're just hanging out here. Why don't you sit with us, and get to know me and my friends here. It'll be fun.

Sunny: No, No. I really need to-

Gene: Come on, what's the harm?

Celest: *Walking over* Gene, Leave her alone.

Gene: Oh great, miss goody-two-shoes.

Sunny: Celest!

Celest: If she doesn't want to hang out with you, she doesn't have to. Sunny, get to class. I'm going to write these three here up for skipping.

Gene: *Sarcastic* Great. You're such a lame hall monitor, Celest. Why can't you just give us a warning.

Celest: Fine, but this is your first and last one of the year. I'm reporting you guys to the principal for graffiti, though, so hurry up and get to class before I change my mind.

Gene: Fine, fine. Catch you later, little freshman. Heheh.

Sunny: Oh, thank you Teony, so much.

Celest: No problem. If you're lucky, maybe you're teacher won't mind you being ten minutes late.

Sunny: Right! Thanks, Celest! Y-you're awesome.

Celest: Heh, she's adorable.

Timeskip to Lycanroc class, where Mr. Gavin is teaching. Sunny walks in.

Mr. Gavin: Glad you could join us late, miss Sunny.

Sunny: I'm so sorry! There was this-

Mr. Gavin: No excuses! I want to see you after class to discuss this matter. Right now, we're in the middle of a lesson, so take your seat.

Sunny: Y-yes, sir! *She walks to her seat*

FireStone: Rgh, I though you were transferring out of this class.

Sunny: I don't want to hear it from you.

FireStone: Whatever. I guess we're stuck in this class together, then.

Sunny: *Sighs* Shut up.

FireStone looks at her, then they both look away from each other and sigh loudly.
