Blue Oak, son of Samuel Oak and unknowingly has become one of the strongest humans alive. He and his friend had seriously overestimated the strength of a Pokemon League.

This is because they're comparing the Champion with his father. In this era, he was surely the strongest trainer, but not anymore.

"Stick your pride up your *ss and that smirk up your nose," Mike the Cosmog cursed as he flew beside him. "Maybe then, you can smell that later,"

"You can try whenever you like, weakling," Blue mocks, fully aware of how much Mike hates that word.

"You piece of sh*t!" As soon as Mike cursed, Blue grabbed onto Mike's body and hugged him tightly.

"So much for being the enemy of the world, Mike the pillow," Blue mocks.

Mike's anger swell as his mouth opened and...

*squeak*

"Pfttt," Blue couldn't hold back his laughter hearing Mike's attempt to roar turn into a squeak.

"Motherf*..."

"Alright gramps, let's get serious," Blue said, quickly noticing Mike's anger reached a boiling point. Something many wouldn't be able to notice if they couldn't notice the natural Destructive energy in the air spiking.

"Who you're calling gramps?" Mike asks, having already calmed down by destroying his active Negative Energy.

"I need to grow stronger," Blue said. "Blastoise and Dragonite have been the only ones who had broken their limits enough to awaken Origin. I myself can borrow their Origin, I'm confident that I could barely win against the Champion,"

'Is Lance that strong or am I missing something?'

"How strong are we compared to our enemies?" Blue asks.

'We?'

[Well, he's your master]

"I did say, you stand no chance against the important ones," Mike said. "It's like the difference between Articuno and Lugia, Articuno despite the type advantage would only be able to last a bit before being taken down,"

"That's just a one-on-one," Blue said.

"Exactly, if you're Dragonite and your Blastoise were to fight an Origin Lugia you would've won. However, my enemies are the cream of the top. Arceus, Necrozma, the creation trio, Progenitor Celebi, none of these Pokemon your 2 Pokemon would stand a chance against," Mike said.

'Maybe in the past, I wouldn't understand, but after having been loaned some of Gaia's Origin back then, I'm certain. Each Pokemon's Origin amount and quality are different. I bet even 2 Pokemons who live the exact same lives Origin would be different,' Mike thought.

"So they did need to break their limits once more," Blue muttered.

"Assuming you have time for that," Mike said. "Seeing as I'm still alive, it means it is ongoing,"

Within his inventory, a soul-connected Pocket Dimension that he uses to store items, he could still feel the connection between the Love Ball and Risa, so she's not dead yet.

'Necrozma is in on this,' Mike thought instinctively. 'If the fight had started, Necrozma is just waiting for my arrival for me to coincidently see her die thanks to Arceus,'

Pity, he only got the first part right.

"Breaking limits aren't hard, at least not to where I'm heading. The Elite Four would surely break the limits of some of my Pokemons," Blue said confidently. "But for now, we need to find a faster way for you to evolve. That EXP-Share isn't working that great,"

Meanwhile in another location in Victory Road.

"Return," The Poke Ball in the teenage boy's hand sucked in the Charizard before him.

Meanwhile, a teenage-looking girl kneeled down in shock having lost the first Pokemon Battle of her life.

"I lost," She whispered, unknowingly tears began to slide down her face. "What should I do now? If I can't beat a random trainer on my part to the top, how am I supposed to beat the Champion?"

She lost right at the exit of Victory Road, so close yet so far to her destination. She could have already imagined how proud her father would be and how happy she would be getting his consent to see her mother thus why she didn't take the chance to see her when she was at Saffron City.

Returning Puff (Wigglytuff) into her ball, Tatsumaki looked at the teenage boy not bothering to hide her killing intent. If he dies here and now, that's one less competitor, one less fool who tries to stop her from obtaining her dreams.

Indeed this teen has Aura, but what can an Aura user do to her? That's an ability her father had abandoned after all.

"Come on, we'll have our next battle," Wiping away her tears, she stared at the teen who was standing in front of her, taking a step back in shock, Tatsumaki quickly took a fighting stance.

She decided to give this powerful trainer an honorable death instead of just killing him with a sneak attack.

"Pokemon battle?" He asks calmly.

"Mano-a-mano," Tatsumaki declares.

"Alright,"

"ELITE trainer, Tatsumaki," she announces.

"Trainer, Red," he announces.

"Fight!"

Now then, do I use a chapter on their fight, or skip to the ending?

Well, there aren't any battle scenes in Countdown, which should last 3-4 chapters? Maybe shorter?

*shrugs*
