Test Pack

Laras gawked when the man who had taken her americano walked away guilt-free. He ignored the barista's screams about his change. While Laras, she frowned deeply. Who's he? Why did he speak as if he was protecting Laras from having a stomach ache because of the americano?

"Who's that guy, anyway?" She grumbled.

"Sorry, Sis, do you want to change the order?"

"Ah, no need, Sis. I'll just go home." Laras stood up, nodded slightly when the female barista apologized to her.

In the parking lot, Laras had time to look around. A little hope that she can find the man who took her americano earlier. Because honestly, Laras would be very happy if someone reminded her about health. As before, the man said, an americano is not a good drink for someone who hasn't eaten since last night. It's true, Laras hasn't eaten at all after cleaning up all the mess Iwan made. Don't know, she's too lazy to even touch instant noodles.

Laras brows slightly furrowed as she looked across the road. A man in the same clothes as the one who had taken her coffee. The man was standing by the car, talking to some of the people there. At first, Laras felt that there was nothing strange about that person. But when he threw the coffee cup into the trash can, Laras immediately cursed.

"Crazy! Why take my order if it ends up being thrown in the trash?!" Unfortunately, her voice was muffled by the sound of passing vehicles.

At the end of the day, Laras spent walking towards the house. Passing many bends and crossroads. Every now and then she kicked the small rocks in front of her to relieve the soreness that hit her legs from walking too far.

But that's okay, because once again. After here parents were gone forever, everything would also change. Nothing will ever be the same. If at first Laras was a person who often complained because she was tired of walking from class to the campus parking lot, now she will actually like the ritual of walking everywhere. Not because Yuni forbade her to drive the car, once again, it was emphasized, everything has changed. Even with the habits that used to be done often, Laras got rid of it as much as possible.

Because half of his soul has been lost. She was buried in the ground along with the bodies of her parents.

It's been three days since Laras has been staying at Yuni's house. By now, the woman had gotten a little used to all the annoying orders from both her aunt and uncle. Even though she avoided Iwan as much as possible, but still. Her obligation to obey all the orders of that damn man must still be done.

Like this morning, it is with a heavy heart that Laras has to waste his precious time just to make a cup of coffee for hee beloved uncle.

Huh! The last sentence is a lie.

"Where are you going to have lunch? I'll follow." Yuni said to Iwan.

Since living here, Laras has come to know that her aunt is the type of woman who really loves someone too much. Like, she was willing to wait for her husband to come home even though it was late at night just so as not to miss dinner together. In fact, unexpectedly, her husband had spent time to have dinner with another woman.

Irony.

Sometimes there is a little compassion when Laras see how sincere Yuni loves Iwan is. However, that pity just disappeared when she saw Yuni's treatment of him. Laras let the lies that happened in Yuni and Iwan's household. Because, she emphasized the principle that here she was just a ride. She doesn't need to meddle in any of these matters. Even including the affair she knew.

Laras brought a cup of coffee to the dining table. Her nose smelled a very thick aroma of rendang there. Rendang was her late father's favorite food, it was impossible if he hated the local food. But I don't know what happened to her now, when he reflexively covered his mouth with both hands because of the nausea that suddenly hit her stomach.

She ran fast to throw up everything in her stomach in the sink. Drooping limply, Laras rose slightly to wash her face which was full of cold sweat.

"What's the matter?" Laras almost threw the soapbox when Yuni's voice startled her.

"Why vomit? You don't like rendang?" Asked the woman as she approached Laras. Her eyes continued to scan Lara's face. Her gaze seemed to be interrogating her nephew.

"It's okay, maybe my ulcer has relapsed because I haven't eaten rice since last night." Laras answered nonchalantly, hoping that Yuni would get out of the bathroom soon, because really, she was again hit by severe nausea.

"Yes, after I leave, eat quickly!"

Blam!!

As soon as the door closed, Laras vomited again until her body was completely limp.

"What happen with me?" She asked herself.

There was a speck of anxiety in his chest now. About the night where the unexpected happened. Since that day, Laras has always suppressed the fear in her. As much as possible she thought positively if that night did not have any impact on her life. However, her hopes were dashed.

With shaking hands, Laras reached for his cellphone which was lying beside the sink. Dial a few numbers before sticking the square object to her ear.

"Hello? Where are you? I want us to meet this afternoon after class." Laras immediately spoke on the important points when the phone was connected. She bit his lip hard to avoid shaking. The vibrations that will occur when she is frightened.

"You can not?" Laras voice softened, she almost shed tears because she heard the answer she did not expect.

"When can you do it? I wait until you can, I have free class today. Please, I want to meet, I'm afraid to be alone." Barrel's defenses have collapsed. She sobbed with muffled sobs, still with her cell phone connected to someone.

"Can you meet at night? Okay, I will come to your house. Don't go anywhere, wait for me."

After the connection was cut off, Laras covered her face with both hands. Stifling the tight sob that she had been holding in for so long.

I swear to God, she was really scared. The chaos after that day was back. Cold sweat that continues to flow, also tears that never stop dripping. Her lips were quivering even though she was biting hard, then the bad thoughts that could happen later.

Mom, I'm scared. Her mind screamed.

Then with her hands still shaking violently, she opened his phone again. A green application opens. Waiting for the driver to take her order, Laras hoped anxiously. Her eyes widened when someone took her order. Then, she typed something in the message field for the driver. She bit her finger a little before typing a few letters there.

'Please buy a test pack, with three different brands. I'm waiting in the garden around my house.'

After that, Laras cried loudly. Without a care her groan sounded out.
