Lunch

Monday, where Laras' class schedule is very busy until this afternoon. But unfortunately, again she had to experience vomiting every morning because of pregnancy symptoms. In fact, Laras had already taken Panji's vitamins because she was the one who kept complaining to the man. But it seems that vitamins do not have a big effect. The proof is now, Laras is still sitting limply on the toilet, right in the campus bathroom.

"Could be late." She mumbled, glancing at the watch on her left hand.

Laras was about to stand up, open the door to the toilet cubicle, but failed when she heard the low voices of several female students who happened to be gossiping.

"Are you guys weird, why did Randi suddenly move and Laras said he wanted to marry another guy?"

Inside the booth, Laras smiled lopsidedly. She recognized this voice, Rizka's voice. The woman who yesterday tried hard to get information about her relationship with Randi. It turned out to be true, Rizka was a source of gossip information which was always a hot topic of conversation among female students during breaks.

"I'm a little suspicious that Laras is playing crazy."

I don't know whose voice it was, but Laras was quite disturbed by that sentence. Because in reality, Randi left because the man was a coward, but why does it seem like Laras is in the wrong here?

"Don't think so, ah. You don't know what the news is like."

"Ah, I already told you. Yesterday when I asked Laras, she said she wanted to marry another guy. Logically, Randi is an almost perfect guy. He is kind, handsome, smart, his future is clear. Who doesn't want Randi? Only Laras! So, there is a possibility that Laras turned away from Randi, right? It could be that she is pregnant with another guy." Rizka explained in a serious tone. Just like the sound of mothers gossiping at the vegetable seller in the morning.

"Ah, but is it true?! Last week, I once saw a guy approach Laras. But Laras got annoyed with that face. Maybe it wasn't that guy who made Laras and Randi's relationship run aground?"

"If so, that's really bad. Compared to Randi, Laras chose that jerk."

Enough already. Laras was sick of hearing the chatter of the woman with the chili mouth. Then, Laras came out. Making the three people stare in disbelief.

"What did you guys say? That guy who walked over to me last week was a jerk? Your eyes are blind!" Laras pointed at one of Rizka's friends.

"Hei, what the hell? Who said that?" She tried to dodge.

But Laras laughed. "You think I'm deaf? It seems your mouth needs to be sorted again. It's really dirty. One more thing, for you Rizka." Laras turned to pointing at her face with her index finger.

"If you don't know the real facts, don't you dare spread rumors. Pamali, when you die, your mouth will be full of maggots."

After saying it all, Laras immediately left them. Trying to stabilize her broken mood.

"Hello, Panji? Can we have lunch together this afternoon? Want to chat." Laras connected his cell phone to call Panji. Of course the man immediately agreed. Even more than that, Panji would pick her up before Laras left class. Also he will order a table set at a restaurant that must be booked in advance.

Laras smiled sweetly, her mood returned to good, only because of Panji's voice.

Laras was initially very excited to have lunch with Panji. Moreover, the man said that they would eat at a restaurant with a rooftop view. Even though the timing wasn't right, where the rooftop view should have been for dinner, Laras was still happy.

But when Panji's car stopped in front of the campus gate, Laras' shoulders went limp. Not because of anything, it's just that in the car there is already Widia. The woman said that she wanted to join the first lunch between Panji and Laras. It's a bit annoying, but Laras can only smile and nod, as if she doesn't mind her presence.

"Laras, yoi want to try this?" Widia never stops offering all kinds of menus that are said to be delicious here. And Laras only occasionally nodded and shook his head.

The three of them ate quietly, although occasionally Widia spoke only to ask how Laras was or about the girl's lecture.

"In the past, Auntie knew someone who looked like you."

Panji was shocked to hear that. His eyes glared at Widia. "Mom?!"

While Laras just looked at the two in surprise. "Who is it? The person looks so much like me?"

"Mommy, please don't." Panji glared, he gripped the spoon in his hand firmly. And what surprised Laras the most was the panicked look on Panji's face.

"Who, Auntie? Tell me, I want to know." Laras shook Widia's arm.

"Laras, no. Don't listen to my mom, that's all for now."

"Yes, it's okay first. I just want to know why. Why are you panicking like that?"

"Not panic, Laras. It's not an important story, so please don't listen to it."

The more banned, the more curious. I guess that's what Laras has applied to her. "Panji, can you go first for a moment?"

"No!" Panji refused emphatically.

"Panji, please. If you don't want to go, let Aunt Widia make up the story."

"No, Laras. It's an old story, no need to bring it up again."

"But I want to know!"

"Better not."

Laras looked at Panji with disgust. While racking her brain, Laras refocused on her food.

"Laras, are you angry?"

"No, if you can't know, it's okay."

Panji sighed, this was all because of Widia. If only his mother hadn't said that damn thing, Laras wouldn't be this curious.

"Panji?" call Lara.

"Yes?"

"Could you please walk me to the bathroom? I don't dare to be alone."

"Okay, come on." Without thinking, Panji stood up. He and Laras walked side by side to the toilet.

"You wait here, will you? Don't go anywhere, I'm taking a while." Panji nodded while answering yes.

Laras herself, she entered the booth only to trick Panji. Since it was only a few seconds, he came out again. Fortunately, this restaurant has two entrances to the toilet. So, Laras took one of the other doors to go out and meet Widia.

"Aunty?" The woman gasped a bit, maybe she was daydreaming before Laras came.

"Can you see someone who looks like me or not? Then, why can Panji look angry when Auntie talks about that person."

Widia was a bit surprised, even though she finally took her cellphone out of her bag. It didn't take long, because after that the white cell phone switched hands to Panji.

"Mom, please don't. I don't like it when you are like this." Panji spoke sharply to Widia.

"Panji, shut up! If you don't let Aunt Widia tell the story, it's better if we don't need to know each other anymore."
