2. Be a witness to a murder

Emily stared blankly at the view of the skyscrapers squeezed by the busy highway below. Emily was sitting on the parapet enjoying the burger she ordered a moment ago.

His legs were swayed so relaxed, there was no fear he would fall from the height of the 25th-floor building. In front of him, one by one the lights from each floor went out until the remaining several rooms without electricity were extinguished.

"Damn, why did I accept the mission anyway," he cursed annoyed.

If it weren't for his adoptive father's request, he wouldn't have accepted the mission of taking documents at someone's house and now he was on the mini balcony of the house, after a while he had entered using the rope that had been prepared beforehand. Of course, by going down using a rope from the top floor.

"It's not hard, just picking up stuff," he thought as he entered.

The atmosphere in the apartment was so quiet with the lights off, the fragrance of the air freshener smelled soothing. Slowly Emily entered a study looking for something there, when she felt what she was looking for was not in that room she chose to enter a room.

Emily had just entered the room, but she suddenly gasped in surprise. He found a man who had just come out of the bathroom. This of course made him confused about what to do.

Her brain seemed to stop suddenly, along with her cheeks turning red. Especially when Aaron immediately opened the towel wrapped around the man's waist. Revealing body parts that Emily shouldn't have seen.

"Damn it! Why is it like this anyway?" he cursed while closing his eyes using both palms but still making a slit then covering his face perfectly.

"However, oh my god that guy looks sexier than I thought, and that bottom... Oh!" Emily's cheeks were getting redder as her saliva caught in her throat.

"Ah no, no. I have to get out of the room right now."

"Okay, I'll be out in five minutes after he's done getting dressed."

Suddenly Emily was surprised by her own words in her heart. "Emily! What are you thinking! Why do you have to wait after he's finished dressing, he should have completed a more important mission," he cursed while patting his face.

After a while, Aaron had put on his clothes and got into bed to sleep. Emily who saw this was relieved. Finally, he could breathe a sigh of relief and resumed his mission.

Emily cursed in annoyance that she couldn't find what she was looking for, usually she was an expert in finding important files but not this time, fifteen minutes had passed and her mission had not yet been completed.

"I'd better get out of here," he said.

The woman could no longer be in the room, her mind was messed up by Aaron's body without a single thread making her not think clearly while carrying out her mission.

"I didn't get the documents," Emily exclaimed when she called making the man on the other end of the phone frown.

"Did something happen? You're not like this usual," the man asked curiously.

Emily snorted. "When I walked into the room, he wasn't wearing any clothes, dad," he explained instantly breaking laughter from the man on the other end of the phone.

"Is he handsome?" asked the man who was called father by Emily.

"Well, he is handsome…." Emily's answer confirmed the question. "... but unfortunately blind," he said again.

The laughter grew louder when he heard the answer from his adopted daughter, while Emily was annoyed because of the laughter that was mocking her.

"W-okay, you better go back home," said the man as he hung up the phone.

The sound of the door opening violently brought Emily home with an annoyed face remembering what had just happened to her. He didn't think he'd have a bad moment.

The atmosphere in the house seemed so quiet because he was the only one living in the house. Life as a murderer makes him a cold person and doesn't have many friends.

He took a bottle of mineral water out of the cooler and took a sip, not forgetting to turn on the laptop. Sometime later Emily saw several packages on her desk. The package that he had not opened for two days.

Several boxes were being opened by him containing the things he had asked to be sent to his house, and a brown envelope was there. There was some information on the target, after reading it made him go clean himself by soaking in the bathtub.

The next day.

The food was served on a circular table, pastel blue, there were a few chairs there, judging by the dishes served there would be several more people in the room.

There were two men in the room having a serious conversation, the older man respecting the man in front of him wearing sunglasses.

While busy chatting, the sound of knocking on the door was heard three times.

"Come in," he ordered.

The door opened to reveal Emily in a black vest, white short-sleeved shirt, and paired with matching casual pants, carrying a bottle of wine on a stainless steel tray.

The man frowned when he saw what Emily was carrying.

"Sorry, I didn't order wine."

"This is a bonus from our hotel," said Emily with a smile. His eyes looked at the man in front of his target, it made him widen his eyes when he saw the figure of the man—Aaron Katulistiwa. The man who last night messed up his mission.

"Oh, I see, just put it there," said the man again focusing on the laptop in front of him.

Emily occasionally glanced at Aaron who was sitting across the table. Somehow there was a sense of curiosity if the man opened his glasses but was immediately brushed off by him, he didn't want to be bothered by the man again.

"What did you notice?" snapped the man when Emily caught sight of what the man was doing. The man didn't like Emily's presence there.

"I didn't see anything," said Emily.

"And why are you still here?" the man asked again. "When you're done, you better get out of here. We don't need a maid for this room," said the man looking down at Emily who was wearing a hotel maid outfit.

Emily took the wire she had made into a bracelet, stepped slowly towards the door but after only a few steps she stopped and approached the middle-aged man who was busy with his laptop without realizing that he was in danger.

The wire looks straight, walking in silence is a skill that makes Emily immediately strangle an old man using the wire in her hand, suddenly making the man surprised, especially Emily's strangulation is getting stronger through the skin of the neck.

"Urgh…" A groan sounded small due to the throat being strangled using a wire.

Aaron who was there didn't budge he only heard a small voice and was curious about it.

"What happened?" asked Aaron.

"Nothing happened, just spilled coffee," said Emily stammering as he continued to tighten the grip on the wire around the victim's neck.

Aaron just nodded his head.

Blood began to appear from the gap in the wire. With wide eyes, the old man didn't even have time to make a sound asking for help, his hand trying to grab Emily's arm which was choking him more and more.

Emily had just stopped untying the wire when she heard the sound of her throat being cut. The far body weight didn't make it difficult for Emily to do that, she was used to doing it.

Blood splattered on the floor, while the man he had just killed was now falling with a bloody neck.

"Huh! Done," said Emily with a shaky breath when the target was dead.

He took out a flash drive from his pocket and copied some files there.

"I hope you don't find out what happened."
