Good progress, and a happy ending

Two months passed again. Light continued to progress and also grew little by little. He could move very well when avoiding attacks from his father, Light was already adapting to his small body and was improving with the sword.

The melee combat was progressive, Albert created a small practice doll for Light to train with. That helped him a lot, since his father was big and at the time of a fight, he could not reach her at all.

As for the progress of his mana core formation, things were going very well. Light could already see a small thread of mana forming a circle. That meant the core was slowly taking shape.

Good progress filled the little boy with happiness, in addition to motivating him to keep going.

Light not only focused on the fight and the formation of his mana core, but he also inquired more about the continent. Having great knowledge at a young age was good for him. Besides that his memory was so good that he could remember everything despite the time.

Light discovered that the human kingdom was large, there are six large cities, three medium cities and many towns and villages. In addition to owning the central city where the king lived. The city was like two big cities.

Each city is cared for by a duke and various nobles. The towns were properties of those dukes, but there were some like the Nion people who were ignored due to their locality and progress.

Another thing that Light noticed while he was reading was that the interest was very present in this continent. If you were not of great benefit to the kingdom or the cities, you are not worth mentioning.

The same thing happened with people, if you were not talented or at least had a good appearance that could improve the future of the kingdom, you were nothing more than a mere inferior being. Light's ability to understand those things weren't that high.

Light spent his three years receiving a lot of affection and in the town they always treated him well, in addition to the town itself being quiet and pleasant. That is why understanding that type of treatment was still somewhat difficult for him, Light did not want to get involved so much in that, so he ignored it.

In the same way, Light had a feeling in his chest for that, it was like what he felt when he saw the mole being eaten by the chest, it hurts.

On a morning where Light was practicing with his father, he couldn't help looking for an answer from his father. Being older than him and having lived longer, maybe he would know something. Light thought.

Light was hitting the practice dummy when he stopped to ask his father.

"Father, is the world unfair?"

At such a question, Albert couldn't help but open his eyes. For his son to ask that was already beyond a child's ability to think. Albert remembered the moment where he was about to lose what he loved the most.

he remembered when his beloved and his little Light his almost passed away. He could not help feeling an injustice, they who had behaved so well in life, did not have the reason to go through something so tragic. But then he thought about how lucky he was after the Goddess appeared. So Albert replied.

"The world and life from time to time are usually unfair, Light, but also from time to time has its good points. You are still small, so you do not understand it at all, but as you grow up, you will realize," said the father while rubbing his son's hair, "But, take advantage of this age to learn and know that this world is run by the force, the strong always wins the weak. Do you even understand that, son?"

Light remembered the scene with the mole and the chest. So he quickly had an idea of what his father was saying. Being strong brings you great benefits, it brings you good life, if you are weak, you will be eaten, you will be mistreated and you will only serve as food for the world.

With that in mind, Light just nodded and went back to practice hitting the dummy. A new resolution emerged from within him. He wanted to be strong not only to explore the world, now he had another idea in his mind. To be strong so that the world does not devour him, to be strong so that injustice does not fall on his family.

Innocent but meaningful thoughts. Light's mind evolved rapidly, so being able to see things in the world would not be a problem when he grows up.

A week had passed since Light's talk with his father. Light was happy, since in two days, his mother would have a birthday. Albert and Light had agreed to gift Ailyn something nice that day.

Light left the day before his mother's birthday with his father in town. Albert knew a blacksmith who promised to give him various accessories for his wife. The blacksmith and Light's parents had known each other since he was a child, so he wanted to give him something too.

Light was always excited when he passed through the center, there he could see weapons and tools that excited him a lot. This was the first time that Albert went out with his son to the town, so Noticing the boy's reaction, Albert smiled.

"Do you like guns, son?"

"They are incredible, father, they are something beautiful, the brilliance and how blacksmiths can do such things." That amazes me, ”the boy replied with a smile.

Albert couldn't help laughing out loud. After a while, Albert entered a small shop, there were weapons, jewelry and armor. Light when he entered he couldn't help but take a closer look at the weapons.

Albert arrived at the bar and there was a person and a peculiar-looking child. Albert recognized them immediately, Light being distracted looking at things in the store, he didn't pay much attention to him.

"Zirion, how are you?" Albert greeted.

"Oh, Albert, how's everything going?" Zirion replied.

"Everything is fine, oh, that's your son, right?" Albert said as Zirion nodded with a smile. Light, come say hi.

Light heard his father call him and walked towards him, there he could see a somewhat robust adult with red hair and blue eyes, the person's skin color was white, he carried a sword at his waist. Next to him was a child.

The boy was more or less his size, his hair was white as snow, his eyes were a light blue color but with a cold look, besides that his skin was pale white.

"Light, this gentleman here is Zirion, and that little boy next to him is Helleans, his son," Albert introduced to his son.

"It's a pleasure to meet you. Father speaks highly of you, sir, and Grandma Susan speaks of how well her son is."

Albert blinked several times, his son had introduced himself in such a polite way that it did not seem like him. The only thing Albert could think about was Ailyn.

Zirion just laughed pleasantly and Helleans just hid behind his father's back. That reaction surprised Light a bit, since having a cold look, he thought that his personality was different.

"I suppose this is your son, Susan has told me about you, little one, your future will be great, I hope that you and my son get along and are great magicians, or warriors."

"Thank you, and I appreciate that you see me so well," Light thanked him.

"Wow, I guess Ailyn does a good job raising your son, Alby."

The person who spoke was the blacksmith that Albert came to see. His build was not as muscular as Albert imagined, besides the blacksmith wears glasses, his black hair and light brown eyes made him stand out a bit.

"That's true," Zirion commented as well as he laughed".

"I raise him too, you know, I teach him to fight perfectly," Albert said proudly.

"Ohh, that was to be expected," added the blacksmith.

"Hey, Zecky, I don't like you, you know?" At that comment from Albert, Zirion and Zecky laughed.

Light, he didn't say anything, he only saw his father smile and he liked that. In addition to seeing the Helleans hide from time to time when he looked at him. Helleans was apparently a pitiful person. Light just smiled wryly.

"Well, Zirion, here's what you asked for." Sorry for the delay.

"No problem," Zirion replied to the blacksmith. Well, I'll go, see you later, Zecky, Albert.

Light saw Zirion leave with his son and then turned to see his father.

"Luckily, I already had yours ready, here." Zecky handed Albert a red box. That's what I promised you, and this is from me, congratulations to Lily for me.

Alby and Lily is what Zecky called Light's parents. Light thought it was kind of funny, but he didn't laugh in front of them.

"Sure, Icky," Albert replied.

The two friends laughed and after that, Albert went home with his son. When they arrived, Ailyn was already serving the food. Albert stopped and told Light he would distract the mother from him while he went upstairs with the gift and hid it.

Light nodded and then they proceeded to carry out the plan.

Albert went to the kitchen and distracted Ailyn, Light took advantage of that and quickly went up to his room. The next thing he had to do was hide the gift, which he kept in a drawer under his clothes.

After getting everything ready, Light went down to the kitchen and sat down while he moved his feet like the child that he was and smiled.

Light loved his parents very much, and seeing them happy was always rewarding for him. His life has been going so well these years, so much love and affection filled Light with joy.

Light decided not to meditate today, he wanted to spend the afternoon with his parents so the mana core training could wait another day. by the time it was five in the afternoon, Susan had arrived.

Thus, the day had passed and Light's mother's birthday had arrived. That day, Albert and Light convinced Ailyn not to do anything, that they would take care of everything.

And so it was, Albert and Light cleaned, tidied up the house, cooked and even made the cake. It did not turn out as they had planned but, worse is nothing. When evening came, father and son organized the table and Susan helped.

Susan did not spend much time in the house, she being the only healer magician in town, she had a lot of work, in addition to teaching her to the son of Zirion. So his day is always busy.

When everything was ready, they proceeded to chat, laugh and celebrate, singing the birthday and presenting the gifts to Ailyn.

Albert and Light gave her the red box, when Ailyn opened it, there were some earrings and a new necklace for her. It was a moving scene when Ailyn hugged Light and filled him with kisses. After that, Susan gave him her gift.

Hers was something normal, a flowery dress, Ailyn thanked her and after that they continued her celebration.

Like any day of celebration, as it was already midnight, Light had fallen asleep. Ailyn and Albert took her son to bed, after saying good night, they went to her room. The difference was that they did not go to sleep, Albert not only had a gift ...

Light was in his room asleep from him, a smile adorning his face. Dreaming quietly was a children's skill. That was no exception for Light. So many days of training, so many days of fun and study.

Being able to rest happily after enjoying a great day were things that Light would greatly appreciate in the future. Who will know what things he would have in store for the child by then? It only remains to find out in your day to day.
