A Different… II 40C

After the twenty minute long conversation, Steph took her phone and went upstairs to grab a few more things while Peggy settled in the living room. On her way down the hall, she remembered that Tanner had been eavesdropping and just had to say something to him. She knocked and pushed his room door open. At the very least ask him why he did that. “Hey.” He yelled from his closet. “Peggy? Mom?!”

“It’s mom!” She answered, taking the steps to meet him rather than wait. “I’m coming to you.”

“Okay.”

She found him searching through his many hanged shirts. “Are you going out?”

“Yeah.” He turned to her with a quick smile before moving to his left searching through more shirts.

“So you want to call Shane stupid?” She said with a smirk, folding her arms and leaning against the door frame.

His head fell weakly as he laughed. “You called him stupid. I’m just repeating what you said.”
