Watching Pakura's world collapse, Hachiro chuckled a little.
The she-devil totally deserved it.
Hearing him, Pakura cast her lifeless eyes over to him.
She felt dead inside, and angry as hell.
Baki patted her back in an attempt to calm her down.
He sympathized with her in his heart, but they could only attribute it to luck.
Either way, Konoha taking a step back and giving up the war is a great outcome for Sunagakure.
"I'm sure, Hokage-sama, is a very loving man. I've lost family of my own and know those feelings well. We thank you for preventing a war that could cause much chaos and destruction from descending on Sunagakure and Konoha."
Baki responded with some pleasantaries, before changing his tone.
"But, yesterday, in front of the many representatives from the other villages, Lord Hokage, accused us of murder. This has had a major negative impact on our reputation and credibility among our clients."
Koharu Utatane frowned,
"What do you want then?"
"We would like to ask for Hokage-sama, to make a public apology and compensate for the worry and stress our Kazekage has had to deal with."
After knowing that Konoha wanted to avoid a war, Baki became a lot bolder.
The expressions of the elders all changed.
Homura Mitokado shouted angrily,
"Impossible!"
"The various actions of Hokage-sama, yesterday has caused us long lasting problems. If Konoha was slandered would you forgive and forget with just an apology?"
Baki asked a lot more relaxed.
After listening to them bargaining for a minute or two Hachiro got bored and said to Mei.
"I don't think they will require us. Let's go find something else to do."
"Okay~"
She nodded and turned to leave with him.
On the way past he whispered into the ear of Pakura,
"Rasa isn't someone you should trust, take my word as the truth or a lie."
Pakura looked surprise and glanced behind her, but they had already left.
The clan leader's standing around pretended that the cloud representative hadn't just walked out of an 'important' meeting.
Their minds were more at ease with the evil star gone.
Hopefully, he had already caused all the chaos he wished.
They didn't know what would happen in the next disaster and they weren't looking forward to it.
…
…
With the Third Hokage taking the initiative to come out and explain his actions were due to impulsiveness, the small spark of war was put out before it could set the entire forest on fire.
The many smaller countries breathed a sigh of relief.
They still hadn't recovered from the wounds inflicted by the Third Ninja War and needed their next generation to grow up.
They were reluctant to fight a fourth war but most of them wouldn't be able to avoid it.
The Leaf and Sand shinobi discussed the compensation several times before agreeing on an indemnity.
Three major villages were involved in this incident.
The Sand lost reputation and gained money.
The Cloud didn't get anything but also didn't lose anything.
And Konoha got the worst stick, they paid a heavy price.
Two of the Hokage's family members died, they lost their priceless scroll of sealing and paid remuneration to the sand.
Originally, Hiruzen was leisurely spending his time and trying to find a suitable candidate for Fifth Hokage
But with the death of his son and daughter-in-law, he had a grudge and vengeance, he was in no way going to let it go.
He had compared the notes on the magnet style kekkai genkai, his teacher had collected, to his sons corpse.
He was certain he had died to iron sand.
In that time span something else occurred,
His younger son, angry because he didn't avenge his older brother, left Konoha in a rage.
Hey, the psychology of the pampered are hard to understand.
Even though, the Uchiha didn't launch a coup in the end.
The conflict between the village and clan increased ever so slightly with each day passing.
It was long past the point of reconciliation.
…
…
"Hahaha!"
In the Raikage office, the man in charge was sitting cheerfully.
The Fourth Raikage, Tutai, Killer Bee and some other Senior personall from the Cloud were gathered there.
Hachiro being the main protagonist was also here.
The office had been renovated slightly in the last period of time, another sofa had been placed over towards the left.
He made himself at home and sat down with Mabui.
Currently under his foot was a huge scroll.
Some would recognise it as Konoha's Scroll of Sealing!
"Hachiro-sama, I'm thankful that you returned safely, we got that report your clone gave us."
Tutai looked slightly stressed seeing Hachiro immaturely use the scroll as a foothold.
But he held himself back because he had rendered a great contribution to the Cloud.
"The Sand and the Leaf only have an alliance in name now, and with the Scroll of Sealing we should be able to speed up our research on the Chakra cannon."
The Raikage sniggered and thought of the Hokage's face.
"Hahaha! I wish I was there in person. I bet those Sand shinobi were completely baffled!"
After a quick discussion he sent the personal away.
"Mabui, you're legs are probably sore from standing all day."
The Raikage motioned for his secretary to sit beside Hachiro and Samui.
He had no qualms trying to 'help' her after finding out she had a secret crush.
While stealthily observing Samui's emotionless expression, she reluctantly plunked herself on the other side of Hachiro.
