Edward watches Sam while she's sleeping.

Sam heaved a sigh before walking to the closest to pick up her pajamas, that's when she recalled she didn't buy the pajamas the previous day she went shopping at the mall.

" Damnit, how could I forget to buy it?" She cursed underneath, running her slender fingers through her silky black hair. She carefully took Alexander's pajamas from the hangers.

" I'll be back in a short while, let me change into pyjamas." Her lips curved into a timid smile before she sauntered to the bathroom, Edward nodded his head in response. Smiling back at her.

Sam closed the door behind her, she closed her eyes slightly, heaving a sigh. She leaned on the wooden mahogany door for a short while.

Sam removed the white gown and slid into the pyjamas, she brushed her teeth and washed her face. She raised her face slightly to glare at her reflection in the mirror.

" You need to be strong Samantha, you'll be fine someday." She touched her reflection in the mirror, her face was red because of crying and wiping tears.

Sam heaved a sigh before making her way back to the room, Edward glared at her quietly, he could tell the pajamas she was wearing didn't belong to her.

" Just stay calm Edward, this is not the right time to pick another fight." He advised himself telepathically, his fragile heart twisted inside his chest. It was like someone was squeezing it into a tiny ball.

He had imagined Sam wearing his clothes, he couldn't stop thinking of how she would look in his boxers. He always involved Sam in his future, his dreams crashed into tiny pieces when Sam turned him down in the basement.

Edward raised his head slowly, glancing at her from toes to head. Their eyes locked and Edward faked a smile, the smile which didn't reach his eyes.

Sam's lips curved into half a smile, she climbed on the bed and lay without saying a word. Edward covered her body with the warm sheets.

" You need to rest Sam." Edward sat on the edge of the bed, watching her from the corners of his eyes.

" Uhm.....will you spend the night here? you need to sleep too." Sam asked him, pulling the sheets close to her face.

" I'll leave once I'm sure you've fallen asleep." Edward turned his head to glare at her, their eyes locked and they smiled at each other timidly. Sam nodded her head in understanding.

She closed her eyes slightly, trying to get to sleep. She didn't want to keep him waiting, she was happy to have such a friend. She recalled what happened in the basement, she felt guilty about whatever happened there.

She can't believe Edward still came to check on her after turning him down when he confessed his love to her, she thought he'll never come to check.

" He has such a pure heart." Sam thought.

She was fine with the whole situation, she wanted to protect them from the mafia. She never wanted Edward and Diana to get involved in any way. That's why he/she decided to end their friendship.

Sam was still thinking about how her life turned into a nightmare when she drifted into a deep slumber, Edward sauntered to Sam when he was sure she was asleep.

He kneeled on the cold tiled floor, watching her goddess's face. Sam's black hair was scattered on the pearl white pillowcase, her eyes were slightly swollen, her pink kissable lips were wet.

" Damn it." Edward bit down on his lips when an electronic current travelled through his body, it was a delicious feeling.

" You need to focus, man." Edward advised himself, dirty thoughts flashed in his mind. He thought about planting butterfly kisses on her lips, down her sensitive neck.

" Oh no! " Edward swallowed hard when he saw her well shaped cleavage, he felt dizzy all of a sudden when he thought about her soft melodious moans. Those crazy thoughts made it hard.

Edward blinked his eyes slightly, heaving a slow sigh. He brushed the hair from her face, tucking it behind her ear carefully, he didn't want to wake her up.

Sam held on to his arm tightly, Edward's heart pounded wildly inside his chest.

" Has she caught me glancing at her? I'm such an asshole." Edward's mind screamed at him.

Edward held his breath, turning his head slowly to peek if she was awake, he heaved a slow sigh of relief when he learned she was still asleep.

Edward wanted his hand to stay in her hold for life, her soft palm was warm against his skin, it felt so right.

Edward pulled his arm from her grip slowly, till she let it go. He stood up,  resting his hands on the waist, glaring down at the sleeping angel. His lips curved into a smirk.

He leaned carefully, planting a butterfly kiss on Sam's forehead and covered her body properly, he was about to disappear but...he hesitated. Edward turned his head to glare at Sam one last time, he picked up the tray and disappeared.

Alexander was restless in his room, he tried to calm his nerves but it was impossible. He couldn't stop worrying about Sam, he wondered why he's behaved strangely since he met the annoying stubborn girl.

" Dammit it, you need to stop this stupidity Alexander, since when did you begin to care about someone?"

Alexander heaved a frustrated sigh, running his fingers through his jet-black hair. He held onto it tightly, trying to reason out what to do.

" You need to stop this nonsense asshole, she's your right-hand woman. She's the one who is supposed to worry about you, not the other way round." Alexander chuckled lightly when those thoughts flashed in his head.

He sat on the highly backed chair close to the window, he sank deep in the seat, placing his right leg on the armchair, his room was semi-dark.

The darkness in his room symbolised his life, he doesn't have a purpose in life. His life is full of darkness and loneliness, his world is full of blood shading and war.

The only thing he's familiar with is killing and revenge. Alexander closed his eyes slightly, heaving a sigh, he stood from the seat and jumped through the window, he landed on the ground safely.

He sauntered towards Sam's room, he glared at the open windows, contemplating whether he should climb the wall and check on her or not.

He was torn between, the other part of his heart wanted to see her, " Damn it." He didn't want to see her, he wanted to babysit her because it's his duty.

He stroked his chin thoughtfully, his lips curved into a mischievous smile because he couldn't believe what he was doing at the moment. It was like..... his body and heart didn't belong to him entirely.

" I'm l possessed or something?" He questioned himself but the environment was quiet, he wanted to act coldly as usual, the villain Mafia as people call him.

He doesn't know why his heart softens lately, " Damn! it's that useless girl's fault." Alexander muttered.

Alexander heaved a sigh before climbing the wall slowly, still thinking whether he should change his mind by descending the wall or not.

He jumped from the balcony and landed safely. He glared through the window and saw her angelic face. She was sleeping peacefully, as if there's nothing to worry about in this world.

Alexander opened the door that leads to her room slowly, his steps were quiet and careful.

Miraculously, Alexander felt at peace when he entered her room. The room felt like home, it was like he belonged there, compared to when Sam wasn't around, the room was full of life. Alexander darted his eyes doubtfully.

" It seems like things are not right in this room." Alex furrowed his brows, trying to figure out what happened. Alexander smelled a man's cologne and natural scent inside the room.

" Can it be Leonard?" he tilted his head slightly, trying hard to reason out.

" No! this is not Leon's cologne scent." He shook his head in denial, resting his musculine hands on the waist, Alex almost laughed out aloud when he tried to over think.

" You're just being paranoid Alex, he's only a weak human being. How could he get inside this room without the guards realising?"

He shook his head violently in denial, Alex recalled Edwards cologne scent when he grabbed him by the collars back in the basement, it's just the same scent. He wondered how he got inside the room because it's impossible.

" You're so funny Alexander, you forget too quickly." He muttered, waving his hand in the air jokingly. He recalled when he found Edward hugging Sam tightly.

" So that's how you made Sam smell your cologne? I'll kill you little boy." Alexander walked to the king-sized bed, he leaned closely on the bed, glaring at the sleeping beauty.

Alexander stretched  his hand to touch her beautiful face but.....he withdrew halfway, he clenched his hand into a fist. He doesn't deserve to touch the poor girl, he's the reason why her eyes are puffed.

His heart squeezed inside his chest when he saw her swollen eyes, he felt like punishing himself, instead of protecting the innocent girl, he made her cry.
