Ashen has been in the magic academy for over two years now, yet, his magic skills remain as bad as when he first got there. He is ranked as one of the lowest magic users in the whole academy. He is constantly bullied because of this even his mates and some of his juniors boss him around.

A Gift of Fire

Even when Ashen and Green made it back to the academy Makin and his group of friends still made sure to stay completely out of their way.

The moment Green openly showed everyone what he was capable of, was the moment it became obvious that they not only couldn't touch Ashen but Green too.

The rumors about how excellent Ashen had performed especially when he went as far as to confirm it from Jamon, further made him envy Ashen the more as he burned with jealousy, unable to understand how someone that had been at the absolute bottom of his class would suddenly become the top people in the entire year.

"If things continued like this then I might as well leave the academy," Makin thought sitting on his bed with his hands clasped together under his jaw, elbows on each knee, waiting patiently for Dosan and Wein, who he had told during breakfast to meet him in his room for a private meeting.
