The peaceful treaty

"My son's birthday became the headline of my kingdom news, every corner in the kingdom discussed how large the birthday was, Hala said his king's men".

The men were flabbergasted about how information from the town flew so rapidly to Hala hearing. It was in this seating they activated their sensory nerves to perceive the rat.

"I don't talk nor walk through the town doesn't mean I was clueless on what my people say about me". Hala words kept extracting words from their mouth.

Anyways I did my son's birthday because it was worth it.

"I called this meeting because I want peace and harmony in Zomuda", Hala said.

Hala words sound strange to the hearing of his cabinet members, "who knows if he is planning to get us all killed", Sir Mik wrestled with his conscience.

"I am calling for peace but it should not get over us, we all are ambassadors for peace and it should begin from us".

The king's men were baffled by his words, Hala words weren't new to them, especially promises of peacemaking like this.

The last time he promised the kingdom peace, the peace gave birth to Feti and Petri's death.

Since this debilitating display from Hala, his words have been bitter in the stomach of his king's men.

"If peace is what we need, let all of us be involved in making peace,'' Poker said.

"I need peace but I don't need insult, as the woman's virginity is her pride and dignity so respect and loyalty is the pride and dignity of the king".

"It shall be hot for anyone that trample on my simplicity. It may surprise you that I am saying this but, it is not a threat, all us know how I stand by my words, the meeting is over Hala dissolved the meeting abruptly".

No man born of a woman in the entire kingdom could question his action, all the men left so dully in appearance as they went their various ways.

"It was super good today for you and your cabinet members, Lila said".

"May the peace that has been with us from the beginning always be with us forever, Lila said".

Lila was full of happiness, she had been praying for the sky to be blue and the land green for her people.

"The peace treaty from his majesty is questionable,  the Hala I know cannot wake up from the good side of his bed and start promising peace", Sir Mik said.

"We have to be as wise as the serpent to avoid all his crooked ways", Mr Dia added to Mr Mik's opinion.

"This wasn't from the bottom of his heart, you can't give a condition that is above the peoples' measure to them all in the name of restoring peace to our kingdom," Poker said as they sip their wine gradually.

Get the people together here in my Palace, "it shall be done as you commanded your majesty," the guards responded so fast as he disappeared to deliver the king's message.

The news made some people cold and some depressed.

They wonder why the sudden invite from the king.

Everywhere in the Palace was stocked with people.

"I called this gathering first, to personally thank every one of you that made my son's day wonderful, secondly I want to bring to our notice that, henceforth, we shall live in peace and harmony".

The people gave a thunderous shout filled with joy and happiness. They have been waiting for this very day to come.

We shall live together as one, giving help to whom it is due, but, the sound of the but which means there was a condition attached to it made somebody in the crowd go into coma.

They all know the but side wouldn't be beautiful to them. Hala never cared about the casualty, instead he was busy going on with his speech making.

The old woman was revived back to life, she coughed and rolled her big eyes from one end of her eye socket to the other end.

Welcome back old woman, how was the land of the dead Hala asked?

Did you see King Keith and your ancestors?

The woman was full of words but her mouth was too conscious to open abruptly.

"As I was saying before mama travelled to the land of the dead, anybody that jeopardises with this warmth atmosphere I am creating will live to tell the story whenever he or she sees Mr Keith".

You may all leave now, he ordered them.

Nobody was able to spill a question, the people went home, some were happy while some were sad.

Zia!

Zia!!

Zia!!!

Lila called but there was no response, where is everyone in this Palace?

Did you see my maidens? Lila asked the guard beside her doorpost.

She is with her colleagues in the backyard.

"Okay, thank you",

"I have been shouting your name all this while, where were you?"

"I'm sorry your majesty, I was helping Tashia in cleaning the visitor's rooms".

"It's okay, I have a gist for you and your girls, when you girls are done with your domestic work, come to my room with them for the update".

After about two hours, they came and sat beside her.

"I guess the work wasn't hard on you girls?" We are used to it. It was a lite work though, Tashia replied".

I guess you girls saw the people of Zomda in the Palace? "Yes we do your highness, Zia responded".

King Hala has finally chosen to roll with peace in this kingdom.

He summoned them to inform them about his good intentions and also personally appreciated them for their huge turn up over Zea's birthday.

All the maidens were amazed by the testimony from the queen.

"Although, there was a condition attached to the new decree.

Anybody that takes his decree for granted shall tell well his or her life experience to king Keith in the land of the spirit, he said".

"You can give a goat out and still have the rope with you", Zia said.

They all grumbled together but there was nothing they could do to the condition given by the king.

"May the almighty always see us through in a time of drought from Hala".
