Chapter 126 - The Emperor's Resolve

Major Ena rode the small carriage, which was just built for her. At first, she was extremely sceptical about whether it would work but was now fully confident in the carpenter's work.

The Emperor did not call the servant the best carpenter in the empire for nothing. Though she wondered why the Emperor simply could not let her ride a simple horse as she led them towards the city, he insisted she ride a small carriage instead.

Perhaps he wanted her to resemble a visitor from a faraway land on a friendly visit to the city without giving a cause for concern in case people were watching from the darkness of the thick forests.

Steadily, she led the troops of the Empire's military through the safe path, and they followed her, marching closer and closer to their target, Langford City. There were points through which the safe labyrinth could be accessed, and it ran around and out of the forests that surrounded the city.
