Tomoe Helping Out

"I minded my own business, chilling in the forests of the Campania, when I got attacked by the guy. He looked like death, or to be more precise, Raijin had looked like it was devoid of life itself. He proceeded to kick my lovely vase of sake and initiate a battle against me."

"I was also surprised since he didn't have his Elemental Aura anymore. I could easily subdue him, but not without the cost of the nearby trees dying. Whenever he wanted to use his Seven Mysteries, the area around him would work with and decay. It was similar to Baldwin's Aura."

"But the main difference was that he was both in control and not simultaneously. It's hard to describe it to you. How should I put this? He isn't as crazy as Raiyen had stated, but he wasn't sane either. He sounded odd, but his actions were like someone had asked him to hunt me."

"A puppet being controlled but still not losing too much of his head. He was terrifying to battle but not impossible. And after I've survived that uppercut of yours, I am safe to say you wouldn't have a problem dealing with him. But what you need to be cautious about is his Original Spell."

After Tomoe's explanation, Z leaned forward to the screen and showed us a detailed analysis of Fujimaru Raijin's Seven Mysteries Of Storms. After skimming through everything, I found something familiar about the Mysteries. I swore I'd read these things before...

"If you haven't noticed it already, these Mysteries are referred to as the Mysteries of the Paranormal in Japanese legends. It's a future reference, so I don't blame anyone here for not figuring that out. Allow me to explain," elaborated Tomoe as he moved the screens around.

"According to Japanese Urban Legends, there are seven mysteries surrounding the modern era of school in Japan. Raiyen and Z must've heard about these things... Elizabeth, do you know about them?" questioned Tomoe, pointing the fan at me.

"Yes, I am aware of such tales, but I've always thought nothing of it. I don't come from the same country, so correct me if I'm wrong. I'm saying these in order: Clockkeeper, Misaki Stairs, Hell Of Mirrors, Shijima-san of the art room, the 4 pm book stacks, God of Death, and Hanako san."

"Everyone has their retelling and accounts meeting every mystery, but I never experienced or known anyone close to me who had seen such things," I answered, recalling my memories in my old world.

"You are right about the order and the mysteries themselves. Just know that Rajin's Mysteries are based on those mysteries. If you need the extra pair of hands, I could find him for you. After all, I owe you an apology," offered Tomoe, smiling devilishly at us.

"And why have you suddenly volunteered to help with this Mission, Tomoe? I thought you wanted to take a break from all that fighting?" asked Raiyen, apprehensive at his Familiar's random act of charity.

"I am quite tired of your orders for me about going here and there to scout out areas, but I am itching for a fight. Besides, I've got a bone to pick against Raijin. Also, Elizabeth has her worries about fighting five Mages one after another in the span of a night."

"She is strong, but she's not dumb enough to formulate a plan like that unless she's got enough team members to carry out such a difficult task. One or two fights are enough to put a Mage down for the night, and asking to face anymore would be akin to suicide."

"Moreover, only one Founder will be with you guys in the Mission, and that's Mavislin, who needs to act as a victim in Fabian's plan. I've been training Bryan for the past few months now, and the max I know he can handle is two of those kids."

"So please allow me to join your Mission. I think my help would benefit the outcome of the entire ordeal," requested Tomoe, bowing down.

Hm... The fox was right; I did need some help for this task. However, I'm still worried something is up since I've rarely heard of a trickster volunteering to help out. But I guess he is on a leash of some sort, so it should be fine. I nodded as Tomoe's ears fluttered.

"What's the last seen for Raijin?" I asked, trying to see if I could push Tomoe to scout the area out first before we make a move.

"According to the archives, he has appeared within the Teuton Domain several times but did not cause any significant problems. Unfortunately, the trail stops on the same date as his recorded disappearance. But I feel that the recent thunderstorms were his work," explained Z.
