Qilin's Bow And Armor

"There isn't much I can do with a single scale like this. At most, I can smash it up and make some weaponry out of it, but it wouldn't be too good to use since I can't harness the power. So I need to have its Elemental Core to use its powers," explained Vincent.

"Then, what's the point of you going around defeating the Four Symbols or even helping us to defeat the Qilin?"

"There is a point! After using my Spell, the damage was only enough to disintegrate the Beast's body and leave the Elemental Core. But... That kid decided to chime in, so the Elemental Core got crushed. I'm not blaming the kid! He did fantastic in helping me, but I guess..."

"Too much of an overkill?" asked the Slayer.

Vincent and I turned to look at the Slayer with widened eyes. Bryan should NOT have that phrase in his mind, much less correctly use them in a conversation.

"What? Raiyen keeps using that phrase, so I thought it would be best to describe what had happened to the Qilin," explained the Slayer, shrugging his shoulders.

Oh, thank God! The Slayer isn't another Otherworlder or Time Mage in disguise. But shaking off that problem, I still have Vincent trying to give me the Qilin's spike. So then, with Vania's suggestion, I had a brilliant idea. I took the spike and placed it on the floor.

My sword appeared in my palms as it changed into several colors of the rainbow. I gently tapped on the precious gem on the ground and activated Avarice. The blade swallowed the spike, and I held it up while it was trying to figure out what it had digested.

"Notice. You have unlocked a new Skill tree regarding the Five Phrases. These are skills that use the Five Beasts to your combat advantage as different weapons," said Vania as random hexagon-like symbols appeared in my vision.

The Qilin's symbol was in purple, while the others remained colorless. Then, the symbol shook and popped out two more hexagons, one indicating armor and the other called Bow.

"Notice. The weaponry and armor set of the Qilin has been unlocked and is ready for combat use. Additionally, you have acquired and unlocked the Qilin's Bow."

Alrighty then! Let's try them on. Vania, activate the Qilin's weapon and armor! Let's hope it was worth the fight...

"Notice. You have chosen to activate the Qilin's weapon and armor. Allocating resources... Checking relevant ranks and Elemental Energy needed... Approved."

A bright light engulfed my body as Vania said the last word. When it died down, I was wearing a a fully suit of armor made out of the Qilin's scales. I whipped around to see a long spiky tail connecting to the backplate. My gauntlets and boots were similar to a dragon's hands and legs.

As I moved about, I found that there was a tint of purple on the armor. And I looked at my hand, which was holding the Qilin's Bow. It was very cool-looking, with the colors of black and purple mixed together. The grip was the Qilin's fang while both the lower and upper limb were wings.

The bowstring was the perfect thing to hold the entire weapon together, a string of purple flames that didn't hurt when I touched it. I wonder what the arrows look like...

"That looks great on you! And even the stats are higher than your usual armor... Not to mention the weapon complements beautifully with it. You should use it for your normal battles from now on," said Vincent, interrupting my thoughts.

Hey, Vania? Can you replicate this armor and weapon set for external use? As in, can you duplicate another set out?

"Notice. That would be possible... Only for the weapon. Finding materials and calculating... Complete. Sending out the finished product..." said Vania as the sword returned to its standard form and shined brightly in dark purple.

I motioned for the SLayer and Vincent to back away as I swung my sword, causing a purple slash in the air. And out came the Qilin's weapon from that slash, right into my palms. As the portal closed, I tossed the bow towards Vincent.

"I'm not a bow and arrow user... I prefer the ways of the sword so you can have this," I said, with a smile.

"Are you sure? And how'd you do that?" asked Vincent as he caught the bow with brightened eyes.

"Well, I wanted to make the armor, but I could only do the weapon. But, it's better than nothing, so here you go. And I'm sure because I'm terrible at my aim unless I've got a scope. As for the second question, I have no clue how I did it, either. It's magic," I said, shrugging my shoulders.
