The Azure Dragon; Qinglong

"I'm surprised that the Arks aren't doing anything to help quell that Beast," explained VK, combing his curly hair out of frustration.

"I'm sure they have their reasons... Or the Headmaster could be pulling the waiting game since he creates Missions for the Mages to quell problems around the Five Domains."

"And they only activate if Mages get hurt, so small issues like this won't make that cut," I explained, reading Vania's information about the Dragon.

"Even so... By the time the Dragon harms a Mage, several humans would've died before... Just like my men. The Azure Dragon has a unique breath, and Element Spell called the Emperor of Gale. Once it used that, my men were instantly dead."

"It starts with the Azure Dragon opening its mouth and letting out a huge roar. I wanted to take the chance to leap up and aim for its mouth, thinking he would roar. However, I was pushed back down and saved by one of them; by the time I woke up, my men had already passed on."

"It was horrifying to see. Later I learned from the locals and a Mage it was a method devised by Wind Mages to kill their targets by creating wind within their bodies.

"I don't know the exact mechanics of the Spell, but I do know that there's no way any living being can withstand such a deathly attack," explained VK, rummaging through a stack of papers.

"Why are there so many papers for this one Beast?" I quizzed, wondering why the Dragon's reports would be twice as much as the Baihu.

If anything, the reports are supposed to be around the same since they are known to be unified. This is because they appeared around and created their followers simultaneously.

And their Elemental Energy supply is all the same, much to my surprise because I thought the Qinglong would have a much larger Elemental Energy supply since it was the most powerful out of the Four Symbols.

But I was right about one thing; the Qinglong is not something to mess around with after Vania's breakdown and explanation. Vania, explain to me the Emperor of Gale Skill described by VK.

"Notice. That Skill is only acquired by the beings who have mastered the Wind Element. When beings master a specific Element, the Mage is granted the ability to manipulate the Element around them, including flesh and blood."

So that means... Masters of Water can control human blood since the body is made with 70% water. That's quite normal... And certainly doesn't freak me out in any way.

"Notice. Being a Master of an Element means that the Mage can place that said Element into any space they desire."

I felt my blood run cold as Vania's explanation dawned on me... Forcing an item or Element into any space the user can think of is way too terrifying! And that means... The Emperor of Gale is a Skill that...

"Notice. You are correct in your assumptions. Congrats."

THERE'S NOTHING TO CHEER FOR THAT!

"Notice. My sincere apologies, but you are right about your guesses. The human dies when it only takes one air bubble at the correct artery."

I clenched my fists and tried not to show my horror to VK and Vincent. But I couldn't help shaking my hands in anger as the thought of how the men died plagued my mind, and the two of them had no clue.

So perhaps it's best to stay quiet; it's bad enough they lost their group to a rampaging Dragon; their leader doesn't need the gruesome details of how they'd lost their lives.

But this also tore a rift within my judgment, whether to start with the Baihu first or the Qinglong since the latter was creating havoc as we speak. Before I could say anything, VK answered my earlier question.

"Because each paper represents a victim profile of the Qinglong... Over 50 have already perished, and the damned Arks haven't begun to send any help... If it hadn't been for these pesky Beasts, I would've started my troops to take down the Arks..."

"To hell with their 'noble' ways! My men are dying everywhere because of their meddlesome Magecraft!" cursed VK, slamming the table with his left fist.

Oh~ is that so? So your men died because the Arks didn't send any help to quell the Beasts or monsters? Well now... That's interesting to hear, coming from someone who is supposed to command their forces to victory, not whine because someone else didn't step in to help.

Forget about hiding the truth... I'm going to make him regret threatening my company!

"Notice. I have finished breaking down the Seal of Magecraft in this area. Would you like to summon your sword again?" asked Vania as the sound of a wall breaking rang in my head.
