Last night was a lesson for me, as soon as my eyes closed the alarm struck my ears and scared me to death, I freshened up and left for school, that entire day was so difficult for me, I stayed unfocused during the class.
I spent my entire day staring at Fredricks, yep! This is how much he was boiling my blood. My anger was waiting for a perfect opportunity to blow out.
Somehow that time came when I was in the canteen with Shawn, Cris, and Dominique, I saw Fredricks walking by, I called out to him at the top of my lungs "Hey Fredd!" and just as I thought he slowly turned around and looked at me with an innocent smile on his face yet his eyes were explaining how vicious he is.
"Hey!" He grinned forcefully just to show me how polite he is.
I slid back my chair and cat walked toward him until I was only 3 feet away from him "Left without saying goodbye last night?" I frowned and smiled, even though I wanted to strangle him and yell at him but I stayed calm.
"Yeah! I was…" as I thought he had no words so I interrupted him "What you was? Busy laughing with your friend?" I did not realize my face was closer to his.
My nostrils blew out warm breath on his face I wanted to grab him by his neck and beat the shit out of him.
And I would have done it but two hands grabbed me by my shoulders and pulled me.
It was Cris she stared at me and grunted "What are you doing? He is!" She was still saying but I shook off her hand from my shoulder "What he is? A captain? So what? And you!" I stepped back "I can not believe you gave him my address!" I stared at her from head to toe.
"What are you talking about?" Cris furrowed her brows and looked at me "Why would I give anyone your address?" Yeah, I was angry but it took her only a minute to convince me that she was not the one who gave him my address.
As soon as I focused back I realized Fredricks was turning back thinking about walking away.
"Where are you headed?" I rushed in front of him looking him in the eyes even when I seemed smaller in front of him I acted as if I was some huge bear or something like that.
"Hey! Calm down! Do not make it a big deal!" Fredricks was annoyed for sure.
"You humiliated me! Made fun of me! And then say that I am making it a big deal?" I yelled.
"Why do you girls have to cry about everything? It happens to all of us! They made me run naked all around the school! Did I cry? No!" Fredricks pushed me aside and headed back his way.
Now I was ready to punch him, I clenched my fist, and just when I was about to charge Cris came in my way "It is not worth it!" She embraced me and my hand loosened back to normal.
I released a deep breath and now suddenly I felt better.
While everything was worse that day there was one thing good that happened, I made friends.
We walked together like a power group, we really had a strange charm that made everyone look at us.
And after such a long time I was smiling.
On our way out of the school, we heard a sound, it was as if something heavy had fallen.
We turned around and saw two men who were carrying a table to the principal's office, and they dropped the table and broke one of its legs, they carried it back while quarreling while my eyes bounced over the portrait hanging behind the headmaster who was sitting on a chair.
I could not help myself but walk toward the door of the room, The room was the same as the one I found under the warehouse.
But the furniture was modern and the portrait on the wall was the same as the one I found before but this guy in the portrait now had a beard and the name under the portrait read "Nile Paragon founder of the Mistwoods Highschool since 2002"
I was confused then I felt a hand on my shoulder that made me startled.
"Come on Zee, what is it?" It was Cris.
"I… Remember I told you about when I fell in that hole? I saw that man's picture in that office, but…" I got lost in thought.
"But?" Cris asked.
"He just had only a mustache and his name was written as 'Xavier Paragon', not Nile Paragon, and the year was 1001, not 2002" I explained knowing I was going to be badly criticized.
And this is what happened exactly, Shawn laughed at me "This is impossible you know?"
I gave him a death glare but then Cris joined him "I mean, do not get me wrong but this building doesn't really look that old, besides they have pictures of the constructions of this building" She shrugged.
"I am not lying!" I gritted my teeth.
She came to me again and hugged me from the side "I am not saying that you are lying. All I am saying is that maybe… maybe when you fell you hit your head and you dreamt of all those things you said?" She sounded ridiculous.
"So you are saying that I saw the future in my dream?" I grinned with sarcasm.
She jerked back and stared at me with her wide eyes "No!"
"You are crazy" Shawn shook his head.
"Listen I know what I saw! You can come with me if you do not believe?" I stared at them all.
"She must have seen something guys?" Dominique stood beside me and now I felt much relieved.
"Wow! So there are two crazy in our newly built power group!" Shawn chuckled and turned back.
"Are you coming, Cris?" I asked and stared at Shawn "It is okay if anyone is scared, they shouldn't come, I do not know how to deal with heart attacks." I smirked.
Shawn slowly turned around and walked back to us "Challenge accepted!"
This was a challenge I made and I regretted challenging him, especially after the last night I was scared to go out in the evening, especially to that place.
But when the time came I somehow pushed myself out of the door.
I had too many thoughts "What if they do not come?" and "What if I got pranked just like the way I was before?" I was scared until I reached and I finally saw all three of them waiting for me.
"See? I told you she will come" Dominique stepped forward smiling at me.
He makes me nervous whenever he looks at me that way, my tongue starts slipping over my words.
"Where are your flashlights?" I successfully distracted him.
We walked in and what I saw inside left me speechless the floor was clean and perfectly fitted, and everything seemed the way it was before I pressed that plank.
"I swear it was here!" I rushed toward the place from where I fell down.
"Hah! You almost got us!" Shawn placed both of his hands on his waist and frowned.
"Wait! There was a switch or something that looked like a plank" I sat down.
"Now you are making it up when you failed to fool us!" Shawn gave me a victorious grin.
"Here it is! Stay back!" I wanted to avoid that fall again.
So everyone stepped back and as soon as I pushed that lever it flipped like it did before and the ground broke open just the way it did last time.
"Told ya!" I jumped my brows while looking at Shawn.
"Holy… Now I am curious" It was a jaw-dropping moment for Shawn.
We quickly got inside the hole finding ourselves in the duplicate of the principal's office.
"Woah! You were right!" Cris stared at the portrait.
"What kind of a door is this? No lock?" Dominique hit every inch of the door.
I took out the key from my purse and inserted it in the keyhole of the first aid box and the door in front of us opened.
The place was just the same as the last time, the same amount of leaves scattered on the sides of the road.
"It is cold out here!" Shawn rubbed his shoulders.
We walked till the path ended and we found ourselves in front of our school, only it looked like a castle, with statues at each top corner.
It had more levels than the original one, there was a fountain in the middle that was a statue of a bird.
"So our school has a twin?" Shawn raised an eyebrow.
We all got to the main gates, it was giving a strange kind of scary vibe so Cris could not help herself but hold Shawn's hand.
He was ready to be there for her but by the look on his face, anyone could see that he was mostly enjoying holding her hand.
Shawn had a huge crush on Cris but she never noticed him, he was a good friend to her.
Well, we stepped in and saw the same reception, but the more we looked the school turned out to be a lot different from the original one.
The room where there was a reception was a big hall, behind that reception was a wide stairway dividing in two, one leading to the left and the other one leading to the right side.
When we turned right from the reception there was a big walkway, with long wooden pointy-topped doors on each side with no locks on them, and we could see the same thing on the left of the reception.'
I could not control my inner adventurous, curious child and I stepped toward the right hallway.
"Are you sure this is wise?" Cris whispered.
"What could possibly go wrong?" I shrugged and smiled at her.
All of them followed me and what we saw was a board above the board that had a name written on it "Dominique Rodriguez" We all stared at him as if we caught him stealing something.
As soon as he touched the door it opened.
"What?" He whispered, what we found inside was a room, with a cozy bed and beautiful curtains hanging by long windows.
And a desk with Dominique's family photos, that have a little girl in them.
"She is so pretty" I could not help myself.
"Was…" He picked up the photo and slipped his fingers on the photo "She was my sister, she died in the car accident" I could see a small tear sparkling in the corner of his eye.
"I am sorry I had no idea." I felt awful for doing this to him.
"It is okay" He nodded slightly.
After we focused on our reality before we could figure out why are these things in here we realized that we are alone in that room.
"Where are Shawn and Cris?" I peeked out of the door but could not find them.
We stepped out and began searching but we could not find them until I heard Shawn calling out for us "Guys?" His voice was coming from the end of the walkway.
We rushed toward the end and there we saw another walkway turning to the right.
We saw Shawn looking at Cris who was standing there numb with an axe in her hand.
I approached her and realized the door she was staring at had "Fredricks Jones" written above it.
"Hey, are you alright?" I whispered.
"He is the reason for all our troubles!" She gritted her teeth.
