Accidental

Eduardo muttered a litany of swear words and he snapped his fingers at her to make ready and Ronnie held up the shoe by her face.

"Give her a chance"

"Oh, I'll give her prospect alright..." He sighed then traced his finger on his lips.

"Smile" He nodded feigning his own and the cameras flashed.

He checked the photos for anyone that looked good for the paperbacks and the other exemplars who took photos, his eyes skimmed their contours and he raised an eyebrow at the female one. Passing it over to his assistant.

"Pick one, I'll take a break," He said and she took over from him shuffling the papers.

The editor gazed at the picks and shrugged getting the work done to prepare it for final publishing.

Weeks after the publishing was done, Eduardo checked the publications and clutched his hair at the photo on page three.

"The silly bugger took the wrong picture!" Anything but this one "Alessia!"

She joined him and paled while he argued, she was mumbling and trying to stay composed because of the way he was screaming, he was uncontrollable.

"Wait_"

"Wait?! Look at this! You've ruined me"

"It was a mistake, I_I had the perfect picture right here" She pointed at another exemplar with her bright smile showing off their new trainers and Eduardo growled.

"Is this a joke or what!?"

"I don't know, it might have slipped in the one I picked"

They visited the print work for the company and the workers explained that they already had hundreds of copies distributed to shops to do business and it was already too late.

He cried covering his eyes and resisted when Alessia touched his head.

"You are dismissed"

"But Edward_"

"Go, just go away please"

Ronnie covered her face at the photo, not only was it published but it made it to page three of the Greendale issue.

"Look at this monstrosity, look!" Eduardo pointed at her photo and turned red folding up the book "I will have your face wiped off this company issue even if it takes me_"

She bit her lip at him yelling at her and Pam turned dark.

"Ronnie! Ronnie"

Mister Darcy had a laughing fit which lasted for over ten minutes swinging her around and kissing her head.

"We got an instant appraisal from the Guardian, here's what it says

'The brand is only so-so but the model's uneasy expression has depicted Greendale's new and improved Mercury Trainers in its unfailing so-bad-it's-good products breaking out of the usual conformity to the elements of a flashy model trying to sell a product. The verismo of it is so spot-on that I may get those trainers myself'

_Chief Editor, The Guardian

"It's not a nice review," Eduardo sniffed. "It's about the girl"

Ronnie blinked at her snapshot where her eyes were paler and it looked more like a freeze face, the shoe hung carelessly in her hands.

"You're a sensation!" Mister Darcy said starry-eyed and Ronnie couldn't believe her ears.

She blinked while Pam and Mister Darcy held hands with her in the middle jumping up and down squealing like two little girls.

"We've got orders from Denver, they want more of them trainers"

The CEO of Greendale arrived and shook his hand vigorously kissing each side of his face happy at their success.

"Congratulations, you just made us richer" He said and glanced at Ronnie.

"Just promise you'll renew the contract when it's over"

"Part-time sir, it's only three years" Mister Darcy raised three fingers opportuned to see Tom Greendale.

He winced "Part-time? but that'll never work" Tom laughed leading him away from the hall to make a better offer.

Eduardo checked the photo again and his name written below.

"Alessia, I'm going to need you back"

She checked the photo again and this time she could look back and laugh instead, she got her mail and tore the top to read a card, by the end of the third month,

It was a royalty from the Mercury Trainers and she even had ten pairs herself and tracks depending on their release and she wasn't supposed to be seen without wearing their clothesline.

She penned Jos in Macau for a convention and to her surprise, he wrote back attaching the picture that he animated and a dwarf horse he befriended during an exhibition.

She covered the cards and fan notes from a quarter of the state. Swivelling on her chair to pat her face, the routines paid off and secondly, the acne was starting to come off, her face looked less angular, her buck teeth moderated but her nose was the same way as it had always been from the dodgeball hit, the bone structure on it had a tilt that was daunting but Mister Darcy said it made her look better.

"But it's the wrong way" She signed, he was getting better at understanding her.

She didn't know, soon it might snap off and she covered her nose quickly at the idea.

She had never heard of anything accidental that would enhance her looks, more or less, change it.
