It's 3 AM

Maya had no idea how long she was on the floor like that but she got up, washed all of the gunk off of her face except the waterproof lipstick that wouldn't come off, and pulled the pins out of her hair as soon as she had a better grip on herself. It fell around her face in a mane of messier-than-usual waves.

The room suddenly felt stifling despite how spacious it was. She needed to be outside. Barefoot, she cautiously padded down the stairs and out the back door trying to avoid Vincent since he was surely still awake.

The cold night air hit her and her feet were tickled by the grass as she made her way to the trampoline. She needed to get her frustrations out somehow and jumping as forcefully as she could under the light of the full moon seemed the best way to do it right now.
