Another great book by the fantastic author Mclorrycat. Well worth a read, and the story may not go the way you expect it to 😉 I wish some of the things invented in this book actually existed...
just finished reading this and I stand by my 5 star rating previously. as usual mcllorycat has you on the edge of your seat and can throw in a surpising ending when you think it's going a certain way. love it!
Another great story by this author that is definitely worth the read! I also really enjoyed hoe both of the characters grew and developed overtime with the influence of each other.
I'm excited to finally read this one. based on others from mcllorycat this will be amazing! I'm already intrigued just by the cover because of the height difference!
Although the book has barely started, I'm hooked! Nice character development and intriguing premise. I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops.
I need to know more about these two and what happens to them! They have such an interesting dynamic and they're really funny too. Cheers, author!
Having fun with this story! I wish there had been more chapters when I found it because I'm dying to know what happens next with Vincent and Maya
I love this story! Maya is a really relatable protagonist and I like her unique combination of traits in an FL. Vincent also cracks me up. Looking forward to seeing what happens with those two

I have loved each of Mcllorycat’s stories that I’ve read so far and this one is shaping up to continue the trend. The leads are very personable despite rather dark notes to their personalities, and the few side characters that we’ve met so far are distinct in their own rights. I adore the male lead’s strangely attentive aloofness and the female lead’s laissez-faire approach to almost everything but cheesecake and drafting. They definitely give the impression that they will be good for each other. Speaking of darkness, though, this one is a bit more upfront with the darker themes than the last few I’ve read from this author. Not that they’ve been shied away from in other stories (I literally just finished rereading one that dealt with an attempted murder/suicide, among other things, and another I like literally starts with a murder before dialing it back), but the themes seem to be rising to prominence a bit faster here. That might be a turn-off to those looking to ease into it, but it doesn’t feel gratuitous or excessive or even out of place with the other works. Speaking as an overly-emotional devourer of fiction, I think it works well for the story. That said, it does look like it’s going to touch on some realistic themes that might dredge up unpleasantness for those who have personally dealt with or witnessed such things. It may be one of the few I don’t recommend to my roommate for this reason (I reserve the right to gush about other aspects even if I wind up needing to gloss over bits). If you find yourself getting uncomfortable with it, self-care takes priority.
I can't wait to read this one! I'm sure it's going to be great just like all her other ones!! mcllorycat always sucks me into the novels to the point they invade my dreams! I'm sure this will do the same!
Glad to see a new story by my favorite author on this app. I'm already so intrigued by the characters and the plot, and I've only read 7 chapters. Excited to read more and find out what's going on.
