Tormented by loan sharks, Lorn had lived the life of an 'ascetic'. He would willingly become homeless and live the life of a beggar (and only sometimes a pickpocket), so his hard-earned money wouldn't fall into his debtors' hands. Hopefully, they would finally leave him alone after realizing he's worth nothing anymore.

But realizing his plans, the debtors decide to sell him as a guinea pig!

However, Lorn finds a once-in-a-lifetime chance. The researchers were creating a virtual world using the digital space. And to create profits from it, instead of simply creating boring-old Virtual Earth (and calling it the Metaverse), they were making a game out of it!

As the first tester of this game, Lorn would be a disgrace if he couldn't make money off of it!

Afterward, the One Leader gave her a guide that other Hunters with similar skill to her would have. Their class was regarded as the Chimera Creators. The villainous and mad scientist type of people who created an army of chimeras to fight for them.

They stitched together various animal or monster body parts in one being, allowing said being to possess various the various skills and special traits that the original creatures possessed. The end product was a force of nature potentially tens of times stronger than the originals.

She also learned about the Sinmother. The best Chimera Creator to exist in the world, an S-rank Hunter that dominated the world alongside her creations.

She was unlike other Chimera Creators that tried to create as many Chimeras as possible so they could simply overwhelm their enemies. Instead, she created only a handful of Chimeras, but they were all strong enough to rival the world's greatest.
