A werewolf's bite

Becca smiled, something she had not been able to do in the two days of her being here. " Rebecca... You're back.... He told me I could see you.....once you get back.... I almost thought he was lying but he....he kept his word", Martha spoke unhurriedly. Becca had left her in the hands of the prince for just a day and a half and finally Martha was speaking, Martha wasn't able to speak before.

" Rebecca who is he? He....He looked familiar and pretty too", Martha spoke once more but Becca feared that if she continued to speak she would drain her strength. Oh how she missed this old lady, Martha was just in her mid sixties though. After a long difficulty she found herself speaking once more, " Everything is fine Martha, Relax you should not speak too much", Becca said and the woman hummed.

" Rebecca.....", Martha started only to be shunned by Becca. " What did I just say, do you want to go numb on me again just keep quiet", she said but Martha chuckled softly. " Rebecca I'm thirsty, I need some water", Becca immediately got up and gave her water.

That continued for the rest of the evening till Martha finally fell asleep. Becca was in deep thoughts. She was angry at Liam but also thankful to him that he brought Martha here. She also felt guilty, in a rush of emotions, she had accused him of taking advantage of her situation at the forest, she said some hurtful things that she couldn't let it stay that way.

Now that she thought about it, maybe he wanted to distract her so as to surprise her of Martha's return. She smiled at the thought that Martha was actually next to her.

Thinking about it, she quickly remembered that the Jug had gone empty with Martha's regular request for water. She might as well just go get the jug refilled, Martha might need water later.

She made her way out of her sleeping chambers and saw that the next room after hers still had it's light switched on. She guessed it was his room.

She walked past it and went into the dark halls which still had their touches burning but not efficiently. She could hear them, she could hear voices but from who. All of a sudden, a young girl appeared in her view. " Rebecca, I'm taking the hint you're not just out strolling are you?",the girl said playfully and Becca quickly guessed that she was Gina

" No princess Gina, my jug's empty and i needed it refilled, is something wrong?", she asked after a while of seeing Gina look so nervous but Gina just stirred the conversation somewhere else. " No! Of course not. Actually I didn't see you at dinner, why was that? Were you not doing too well?", she said immediately checking Becca's temperature but Becca could actually tell that the girl was nervous.

" Do you know what Rebecca? Brother announced that the coronation ceremony will be held in two days so we have to prepare for a great ball in the castle, oh it has been long. Have you ever been to a ball before?",Gina suddenly asked out of nowhere but Becca just shook her head. She couldn't tell Gina that she had experiences with these balls. Besides when she turned thirteen her parents stopped allowing her go as herself so she came as someone else, in disguise, her identity was too hidden I tell you.

" Well tomorrow might just be your chance to experience how one is hosted. Everyone in the castle would be so busy to care about each other, I now wonder how Liam is doing?", she said in deep thoughts before voicing out. "Oh well i will go back to my room now, I must have delayed you", Gina said apologizing. " No no you don't have to apologize, good night Princess Gina", she said and Gina sighed, " Really? Are we doing that? Am not Georgia, you can call me Gina I don't mind", Gina said cheerfully and walked away.

Becca shook her head again for another time. What? How strange, they share the same facial expressions but have no similarities in characters. I prefer Gina, She murmured, filled the jug and made her way for her chambers.

She returned back to see that Liam's room light where still left on. Suddenly she had the impulse to see him and correct herself. Breathing in and out, she knocked softly but no one answered, she turned the door knob and walked in.

The room was so huge. She didn't get to explore much as all of a sudden someone held her throat from behind and she almost screamed in fear. " Little one...",Liam uttered and fell on the floor. The torches shown completely on Liam who was now lying on the floor, he was bare on the chest, no clothing but there was something wrong. He was injured and bleeding. She immediately squatted down and observed him after recovering from her shock, there were teeth marks on his shoulder blades, he had been bitten, a werewolf's bite.
