CHAPTER 4: THE CONCERT

Tonight, the three of us decided to go as undercover heavy metal concert audiences in general, from head to toe. We were planning to drive there.

"Are we really close enough to broadersonic fans?" I asked them while looking at the mirror and then laughed at myself. "I stayed up all night to get this black nails."

"Yeah!" exclaimed Manda. She was looking at my fingers, and then forming a metal symbol on her finger. "Don't forget the black jacket."

"I've signed the three of us into the concert," Freya mentioned while holding the steering wheel. "Let's go!"

Our vivacity were spreading around. Even the car was speeding up against the wind.

The car which the three of us was driving finally reached the real location.

"Look at that big billboard," Manda shouted while opening car's rear door glass.

"That is the concert. It is right in front of our eyes."

I glanced at my phone. "Stop!" I said to Freya that sat on the front. "I don't think it's the time, because it's only eight p.m. Isn't it too early?"

Freya raised her eyebrows, seeming to think. "The verification of tickets can be made in half an hour or more."

"Besides, the crowds are going to be so huge, we can hardly find a parking space," Manda added.

I was looking around. "All right, look for places that are less visible, but it must be a strategic point."

We waited in the car for about half an hour, and after that the three of us stepped out one by one and split up.

"Don't be hesitate to remind one another that you see something suspicious," I commanded firmly through attached earphones, hidden behind strands of my hairs. "Manda! You haven't sung any of Broadersonic's song. Am I correct?"

"I have heard one of it, Suri. It keep lingering on my mind, especially the reff," shouted Manda in my earphone.

"Haha! It's content was only yelling," Freya answered through earphone.

I kept walking toward the crowd. The entry consisted of multiple points, maybe four or five. One door with two guards, they were all able-bodied men. I made a steady step toward one of the entrances and showed my reservation number and a barcode that was ordered online.

"Okay, next!" said one of the ticket officers.

I stepped in quietly.

The empty quiet concert hall slowly became horribly crowded. I was still monitoring around. A few moments later, Broadersonic band members were onstage performing hard rock style. And all in black.

The music got loud.

"It's so loud," I exhaled over the tiny microphone on my earphones.

"Please, say it louder, Suri. I'm having trouble hearing you," complained Freya on the other side.

"It's better for us all to stick together!! Wuuuhuu," shouted Manda with louder voice, as if she was enjoying it.

I totally understand. It was not good to communicate in secret loudly. The three of us decided to go to the center window of the room.

"What did you get?" I asked obscurely. Seemed that my voice was useless in this full-music hall. "I can barely move. Too much people here."

"Me too," Freya whispered.

"Well, then, just watch from here," I replied with a look to the right and the left. "Where is Manda, by the way?"

Freya came along. "Manda ... Manda... Answer me honestly where are you?"

As Freya tried to communicate with Manda through the microphone, I suddenly heard a familiar scream.

"Look at it, Suri!" Freya was patting my shoulder.

We both gazed at the main stage from a distance. It was obvious there was somebody we knew.

"Manda!!"

We both shouted instantly. How could she even play a duet with Broadersonic's lead vocalist!

"God, what the hell is she thinking right now?" I insisted with sudden panick attack. "We're not supposed to be the center of people's attention."

"What should we do now?" Freya freaked out.

I sighed. "It doesn't work, Freya. We can't even call her on this small microphone because it's too noisy here, let her alone onstage."

I was kind of glad that this wasn't yellow mission. At least, no senior spy knew about this incident, because it was really embarrassing.

We both waited a while before Manda finally dropped out of the stageby herself, and casually walked up to us chuckling. We both just quietly scooped at her.

"From up there I could see two men of abroad from their european face," Manda explained, and then pointing to the location she wanted to show. "I'm sorry I know that was a careless act."

"Pardoned," Freya and I said in a hurry.

The three of us finally began to sneak among the crowd.

"Over there!" shouted Manda.

Two european men appeared to be in one location. From a distance I could see them sharing roles. A white man spoke too much to the local man next to him, while another white man was nearby and watching his surroundings.

I was going to get close, but it seemed too risky. I started thinking out loud.

"Manda can you read their lips? The foreigner and the local guy, I mean," I asked. "We need to know their conversation,"

Manda nodded steadily. "I'll try."

Manda took out special glasses from her jacket. It could be used as a stargazer.

"How's that? What do you get?" Freya seemed curious.
