Chapter 6

"Woah." Dinah and Meg chorused together as they passed the gate momentarily forgetting their fears and worries.

Inside, the field was decorated with bushes, trees and grasses with flowers while the mansion was covered with climbing plants making it have a magical feeling to it. A pathway was paved with large pebble from the gate to avoid ruining the flowers.

"It's beautiful." Dinah whispered to Meg as they walked. Diana, hearing this smiles softly as she took the opportunity to start a conversation "If this is beautiful, you have to take a look at the garden because I don't have many who appreciate plants and flowers with me because my kind think that I'm not normal because we are carnivores" sounding a little sad at the end.

Hearing this, Dinah turned a sad too. "I would love to see your garden before we leave." She said making Diana's eyes lit up.

"There are other kinds ?" Meg asked..

"Yes, as this is the shifters kingdom. There are different types of shifters, wolves, lions, sheeps, bulls, rabbits, any type of animal." Aren explained as they all stopped to listen to him.

"So that means there are other kingdoms?" Meg asked as they walked inside the mansion. The inside was lavish with a big chandelier in the hallway.

"Yes, there are five kingdoms; Matier kingdom, kingdom of mages, Mer kingdom or water kingdom, kingdom of sirens and mermen, fae kingdom, kingdom of faeries and the shifters kingdom, kingdom of shifters and exactly where you are now. The last kingdom wasn't here before as it was from another realm." Diana explained as they sat in the living room. She called a maid to bring refreshments and sent the kids to their room to play until dinner time.

"Seems like you don't like that kingdom." Dinah observed.

"That's because they don't belong here. They have been killing the shifters, mostly because they see us as threats." Aren said, obviously frustrated.

"Why do they see you as threats?" Dinah asked.

"Because we have a good relationship with the mages, the Launtier kingdom kills any shifter they see, even when it's not their own kingdom."

"Are the mages that strong?" Meg questioned

"Strong? Their powerful." A deep voice answered from across the room which earned a surprised gasp from Dinah.

In front of them is a man who seems in his early thirties. He looked handsome and very mature with his muscular physique bulging through his black shirt.

"Drake honey, you're back so early." Dinah said as she hugged him and called a maid to bring more refreshments.

"Uh huh, didn't want my sweetheart to be too worried about me but from the looks of it, you momentarily even forgot about me." He said as he looked across the room at Dinah and Meg then looked back at her sulking.

They were a beautiful couple that even Dinah and Meg were wishing to be such couples with their future husband.

"Oh, I will never stop worrying about you, mate." She said as she dragged the word mate and gave him a quick kiss earning red ears from everyone witnessing their PDA before Aren cleared his throat.

Drake held Diana's waist and led them to the two-seater. Diana introduced them while clearing her throat,

"Meg, Dinah this is my husband, Drake and Drake these are Meg and Diana. Kids I met in the forest."

"What are you kids doing in the forest. It's dangerous." Drake said concerned.
