Cultivation

Long Aotian stood up from his seat after a long hug with his mother and said "Mother, your son thinks it is finally time to begin cultivating" He looked at his mother and junior sister with a determined look in his eyes

Yuan Caiyi also stood up from her chair and let out a cry of happiness "Does this mean brother will finally join me at Baixue Palace?" Long Aotian turned to her and nodded "Tian'er if that is really your decision, then we must speak to your father about a proper cultivation technique" Long Aotian nodded and left the courtyard to go to his own.

Sitting in his room on the bed Long Aotian looked at the roof in thought " This is nice....having a caring family to look after me. They may not be this bodies blood family but they treat me like i am and that is enough for me" Long Aotian shook his head and crossed his arms "I really need to figure out my next move...i am a handsome 17 year old male, the Crown Prince of the Upper Heavens, i guess it wouldn't hurt to follow in my predecessors footsteps a bit" Spoke Long Aotian softly with an almost perverted grin on his face.

Small knocks on the door interrupted his train of thought "Enter" and in came his beautiful junior sister, Yuan Caiyi. "Senior Brother, i came to give you something" She meekly said with a small blush on her face 'Ah my junior sister, perhaps 15 years old? doesn't seem much younger than me' Long Aotian patted the spot on the bed next to him for her to sit down.

Yuan Caiyi sat next to Long Aotian and turned to him "I have something I want to give you" she said slowly while pulling Long Aotian's forehead closer to her own 'What is she doing?' He thought. Then just as their foreheads touched, he felt something, as if a river of information was flowing into his mind.

"Imperial Dragon Scripture? is this what i think it is?" Thinking of the possibility Long Aotian looked at his junior sister with slight disbelief in his eyes meanwhile she simply looked back at him with a slight blush on her face "This is our family's exclusive cultivation method, only the royal family is allowed to even look at this" She whispered to him.

"And you've given it to me? wont this put you into a lot of trouble?"

Yuan Caiyi spaced off for a second staring seemingly into nothing at all before snapping out of it and giving Long Aotian a big goofy smile "Who would dare go against what i, Yuan Caiyi wish to do?" she said with a proud look on her face and a hmph.

Smiling, Long Aotian patted her head "Yes yes, my almighty Junior Sister is the strongest" In a way he wasnt wrong, although not in the top echelons of power in the Upper Heavens Yuan Caiyi was one of the foremost geniuses of the current era, it could be said she was even the strongest geniuses of them all considering her background of being from the one and only Royal Family.

"Thank you Junior sister, you have no idea how much it means to me that you are willing to go this far to help me." Yuan Caiyi looked at Long Aotian and nodded before getting up and flashing another smile at him "Hehe now get strong fast Senior Brother, i know it would make our parents extremely proud" She said before exiting the room, leaving Long Aotian in complete silence.

Sigh "This Junior sister of mine....she is already starting to grow on me" He laughed heartily at the thought "Now.... time to begin cultivating" finally it was time to get started with his cultivation journey, the thought made him excited like nothing else ever had in his life....well two lives.

Outside the large courtyard isolated from the rest of the Royal Palace Long Aotian stood and looked up at the beaming Sun "Instinctually i know the uses of my physique, the Heavenly Sun Physique really is a marvelous physique worthy of its position as the number 1 physique in all the heavens."

Like he had previously read in novels back on earth Long Aotian sat down with his legs crossed and eyes closed, the Imperial Dragon Scripture shone in his consciousness while working its magic.

Large strands of Qi swarmed the courtyard and into Long Aotian or more specifically into his Dantian. The bright Qi swelled up, until it began to change in quality more and more until soon he began to see the wonders of not only his cultivation technique but also the wonders of his physique.

In the cultivation world Upper Heavens included, the stages of cultivation where split up into many, what Long Aotian was currently experiencing was the very first stage that all cultivators usually began at this being the Qi Condensation stage which was broken down into 10 levels however most people simply referred these levels as the early, middle, and peak stages furthermore being the case for every cultivation stage.

Fascinating enough if one where to be present while Long Aotian was cultivating, a strong enough expert could see the qualitative change in the Qi Long Aotian possesed and his Dantian growing.

He was breaking through, and very rapidly.

With the potency and frequency of the Qi he was absorbing Long Aotian was storming through the Qi Condensation levels.... Early, Peak Middle, and finally at the very Peak of the Qi Condensation he finally opened his eyes.

A single large exhale escaped his mouth as he felt the immense power flowing through his body.

"Amazing... according to the Imperial Dragon Scripture one cannot truly cultivate it unless he or she possesses the Imperial Dragon bloodline.... it seems until I acquire it I cannot go further than the Nihility Realm....that is a problem" He frowned realizing the immensity of his situation.

"In the Upper Heavens the possibility of there being someone in the Nihility Realm is almost...completely zero!" Long Aotian exclaimed

"The Upper Heavens has the best quality in Qi out of all the heavens so of course the geniuses here that have prominent families will undoubtedly already be way past the Nihility Realm" He said while contemplating his next move until he was caught by surprise.

A voice loudly called through the entire palace.

"Long Aotian, you are hereby summoned to the emperors courtyard immediately!'

Long Aotian shivered slightly, he could sense the power behind that voice and it sent shivers down his spine, however nonetheless he did as he was told and made his wat to his fathers courtyard.

"Father" Long Aotian stared at the back of the man in front of him, the man that exuded endless power and pressure that came with it.

"Tian'er, let's talk from father to son" Yuan Ling turned around and faced his son before gesturing to the small table and taking a seat on one side.

Long Aotian followed his fathers words and sat at the opposite side without saying a word.

"I heard from your mother that you have finally decided to take cultivation seriously" Yuan Ling added, a tone more serious than when he first talked now evident in his voice.

"Yes father, that was my decision and i plan to follow it through." A determined look stared back right at Yuan Ling.

"I also know that Cai'er has given you the family's most treasured cultivation technique, the Imperial Dragon Scripture... this must be kept a secret at all costs." Long Aotian looked at his father with a puzzled look when hearing those words.

"Son the Imperial Dragon scripture is only handed down to the Royal Family and although you are my son you do not possess the blood of the Royal Family. This will naturally arouse dissatisfaction in the masses and especially in those old fogeys that are against our rule" Yuan Ling said to his son.

"Those old things, they will find anything they can to go against our authority and handing down the legendary Imperial Dragon Scripture to someone not a part of Imperial Dragon bloodline will surely stir trouble....they may even force my hand to brand Cai'er as a traitor" Long Aotian perked up at the words and hit his hand on the table.

"Surely not father! they wouldn't dare go against the Royal Family or incite our anger right?" Long Aotian asked, however even he had doubt in his voice. From experience reading novels he knew that old monsters would do anything they could to seize power especially over someone as strong as a Royal Family like his own.

"Im afraid that they would do anything to dethrone us, we need to make sure no one finds out that Cai'er gave it to you just as much as we need to make sure that no one knows your cultivating it. I'll deal with that however....you just need to continue with your cultivation." Yuan Ling waved towards the door with his hand and stood up from his chair

"Also...i am proud of you for finally realizing you must step up as the crown prince Tian'er" This time as he was talking he already had his back turned to Long Aotian.

"Thank you father" Long Aotian bowed and left the courtyard.

"What i do....it is for all of you" Yuan Ling spoke softly with a stern yet worried look on his face.
