Facing the Galkin Warriors

A few kilometers from the clone city. I managed to find some weird guests right next to a portal. They probably came from somewhere far and they look more like invaders than guests. Is it perhaps the weakening barrier that caused them to set up a portal here?

This time I went with my real body. I need to deal with this as quickly as I can.

Using [Scan] I manage to look at their levels. They range from level 400 to 600. Some are higher than mine but my stats are still superior. The highest one belong to the tallest Galkin warrior with darker hue. All in all they are dangerous.

Right now, I can see Levia being entangled by some shadows. The spell seems to be coming from someone who looks just like her.

Is that her twin?

I use [Scan] to assess the shadow ability.

[Shadows of Plight: Summon a shadow nearby the target and capture them. Also drains mana from the target, incapacitating the target.]

No wonder as someone as strong as Levia can't escape it. Though the look alike who caught her is level 500 while she's only around 400. That must be her twin or something.

Though those shadows won't be able to kill her. I don't know what's going on but it seems they are talking. Perhaps, I shall hide and listen for now in their conversation with activate my stealth ability.

That might bring into light what their purpose here is and also, Levia's background.

[Levia]

My sister, Teria is mocking me but I don't care. I just need to find a way to get out of this and inform my lord.

"I can't believe you have fallen so low as to lose your claws. Have you gone insane or something? Hahaha." My sister laughs manically right in front of my face.

Just when it is about to get into me, I just gave up and let go. I can't let something as minor as this disturb me. Once I get out of here, I'll make sure to not give her an easy death.

But I can't conjure any spell. The shadow that captured me is draining my mana and disturbing my mana flow that any form of spell can't be created.

Then I'll just have to get out of here with brute force. I harden the muscles on my neck. I try to break free from the shadows. However, it's no use. The more I exert energy the more it tightens. I take a deep breath and use up the remaining mana and strength that I can muster.

Yelling with all my might, I manage to get released but I almost lost consciousness. I fall from high up and slam hard on the ground. I quickly stand up, panting.

Teria grunts in annoyance, "that surprised me for a moment." She gives a signal to my siblings as though to take care of me.

In a flash, a thin lizard with four arms whos faces are covered with grey ninja clothing appears. Four katanas are found on his back forming an X This is my sibling Ray, he is one of the most stealthy warriors in our kingdom. Even though quiet, he is dangerous.

In a flash, I gasp from shock as my limbs is detached. I didn't even see Ray drawing his sword but I can see him returning his blades into his scabbard.

I feel apart like a broken doll with my warm purple blood on the ground, with my limbless torso falling flat on the ground. It's a common tactic to slice my limbs away so that I won't be able to fight while carrying me back to our home.

Teria descends over me with a mocking look. "You don't feel good now, huh? Sis?"

"You are here for me, right? Sagus is dead. Just take me away." I say annoyed.

Teria chuckles menacingly. "I don't like liars. The Eastern Overlord is alive because this dungeon is still alive. Which means he is still here somewhere."

"A new one has replaced him. And he has nothing to do with this!"

"Oh really? Then what is that mark for?"

Teria eyes the mark on the back of my severed hand. It's a proof that I'm someone's servant. It's the Galkin Contract in which I'm bound to serve someone until due time.

"Yeah, I got a new master but it's none of your business."

Teria laughs once more and steps on my face with her rough feet, her toe claws are sinking into my forehead. "None of my business? You're too full of yourself. Don't forget that you are from a Galkin which means you are our mothers property. Which means whoever owns you must go through our negotations."

That's right, my mother sells her children to be servants or wives of powerful beings so that she can expand her power. Especially, here in the mundane plane where she wants to exert her influence.

But my sister is forgetting something!

"I'm not an object, I can make decision for myself. So hurry with it! Just return me to our land."

Teria stops for a moment. Her face becomes threatening like a silent lion. "Ey did you know, you're starting to piss me off."

She expands her wings and flies up high. Looking at me below like I'm some sort of worm.

This one tells me that she doesn't care if I wind up dead as long as she teaches me a lesson. She opens her palms and reveals a menacing crimson ball of energy. It grows to a size of a hill as she looks over me imposingly.

"Die."

She drops her hand, causing the ball to fall at me.

Looks like this is it, huh? I guess, I can't even meet you Melanie. And I'm sorry my lord, this all my fault.

In that split second, Vernie appears carrying me. I gasp in awe seeing him just in time.

"My lord!"

He gives a confident smile, reassuring me that I'm safe.

We escaped the explosion thus saving me in the process.

[Verni]

I heard everything. Looks like Levia was abandoned by her family as far as I understand. I finally understand her second condition. The one he wants protection from is her mother. What a weird family I guess.

Regardless, Levia is in a bad shape. She got mutilated and probably lost a lot of blood. "Levia, are you okay?"

She smiles faintly as though reassuring me. "There is nothing to worry about. This is just a minor injury. I'll regrow them for a week."

I fail to see how this is minor. Also, I forgot she isn't human so she might be fine. I then give her to one of my clone so I can face these people myself.

Perhaps, I need to get serious. I grab a mask from my inventory.

[Infinitium Mask (Mythical)

Level: 450

+1000 Mind

+10000 Stamina

Special skill

Imposing Will: Overpower the minds of the enemies in a range of 500 meters]

This is Sagus' mask. I wear the mask and test for myself how the item skill works. I can't wait to try this out.

When the smoke cleared, the Galkin warriors comes into view. Especially her sister named Teria. I can't believe how she is blood-related to someone like her.

"Oh, you must be the new Eastern Overlord she was spouting about. Since she is still alive and you are trying to save her, according to our law you will accept the deal with the Galkin Empress."

"I refuse. It's as she said. Her decisions are hers to make."

Teria laughs while hugging her gut, "hahaha, do you really think your input will be honored? For a measly Overlord. It's either you say yes or you die." She calls out to the thin ninja lizard warrior. "Brother, do it!" In which he nods.

In a flash, Ray vanishes from his current position and appear before me. He draws his four swords but in an instant, his blade stops before it reaches my face.

His arms shakes while he is petrified holding the swords. Its as though he is afraid to cut me.

Well, what do you expect?

My [Imposing Will] will waver their hearts of my enemies especially the more they are nearer to me.

I smile cockily behind the mask.

[Levia]

Even though we are in a distance away from my brothers line of sight, I'm still watching the scenes unfold. I can't believe my eyes when my brother, Ray, a perfect assassin who kills his opponent with precision and no hesitation, stopping his blades.

Lord Verni, you might be able to do it!

"Brother! What are you doing?! Kill him immediately!" Says Teria.

Rays jumps back quickly and runs to a safe distance, panting.

Tar the strongest Galkin warrior shows a slight discontempt. "This isn't like you Ray. What you showed right now is a humiliation to our family. I'll have mother punish and retrain you when we return."

"Forgive me brother, but my body just stops when I get close to him."

My siblings gets surprised when shockwaves are sent out from Lord Verni.

The aura coming from him must be powerful that it even shakes the air.

I can even feel the uneasiness from here. It even causes me to pant from fear. Lord Verni didn't use this when I was fighting with him.

My sibling's hearts are starting to waver. The rest of them except for a few legs are shaken that they fall on their knees. Even Tar is sweating as he is trying to resist the aura coming from Verni, even though he is trying his best to stand firm.

[Verni]

The Galkin warriors formation are now in shambles as I constantly send waves of my [Imposing Will]. One warrior named Tar doesn't seem to be deterred.

"I see, so you're the new Overlord, huh? I admit you are stronger than your predecessor. But this will be your grave. You will regret facing the Galkin Empire! Know our wrath!"

Tar stomps on his feet, grinning as though exhilarated. He casts a spell. "Venomous Ember!"

[Note: The enemy is casting Venomous Ember!]

Through my clone, Levia communicated to me. She said that I have to get out of here since the Galkin are about to cast their powerful weapon. A spell that guaranteed their success whoever they were up against.

However, I reassured her that everything will be fine.

I prepare myself as Tar releases a dark greenish mist from his body. It spreads outward uniformly creating a curtain of evenly green air and thus blinding me.

Using [Scan], I assess the ability.

[Venomous Ember: A unique skill of the Galkin race. It increases all stats of the Galkin warriors by 120% while inside the mist. ]

[Debuffs Imposed...

[Blinding: Vision will be blocked while in the ember]

[Anguished Breath: Detoriorates the lungs, reducing 200 of HP every second]

[Bleak: A decrease of 20% of stats are imposed on every other race.]

Well, this is terrifying, but I just didn't do anything while I'm in this dungeon. My resistance to poison is now in a Greater magnitude, not to mention my tolerance is maxed as well.

[Debuffs Resisted Successfully!]

Using [Divine Sight] I can neglect the blinding debuff and locate my enemies.

Due to the Venomous Ember, the Galkin warriors no longer wavered. They are now able to resist my Imposing Will. I can see their sillhuoettes stand strong in the background with their eyes gleaming in bloodlust.

"Hahaha! Eastern Overlord, prepare yourself!" Says their Lizard warrior leader.
