Start of Chaos

[Asthaniel]

Found in the heavenly district, the tallest palace, at the peak of mount olympus, the Heavenly Peak Palace rein supreme.

The palace's floors and ceiling are furnished with pure gold and whose walls are built with shiny pearls. Even from a distant location one can see the palace glinting on the sky. It has been said that 90% of this Munren's gold was built to create this palace.

The Light Church worships Jerome to be the reincarnation of the one true God, thus he is revered by the worshippers through out the continent.

As the head saint, it is my duty to look after my cute little children, they are often referred as the Guardian Saints. I don't care if they see me as a doting guardian but I don't want any harm to come upon them.

We have heard rumors that the Eastern Overlord has been revived in the East. After the grand scheme of our great Lord Jerome we managed to seal Sagus without doing the dirty work ourselves. It seems those naive heroes are pretty useful for gathering information. They are pretty useful tools since we are preoccupied with something.

It seems the demons dwelling in the mundane realm is true, which is why I sent my precious Libra to check it out. However, his Eye of Calling has turned red, which means something has happened which I can't let it pass. Anxiety has been welling up inside me ever since he left palace. Especially, when the stone turned red, it was only a torture for me.

I kneel on the golden floor crying my tears out and yelling. "No, Libra you still haven't returned for a week!"

A Saint comes to me with a stoic look. "Old man, quiet down, you're annoying." A silver-haired saint with a pony tail, who has a fierce but uncaring look. He's carrying a shiny spear on his back and tend to be the least expressive of Guardians.

I jump and hug him suddenly to dote him. "Scorpio! Libra's eye of calling has turned red. I'm truly worried for him."

Scorpio with an annoyed look tries to push me away. He just sighs silently.

Another Guardian comes, this one is a woman with long and smooth hair that reaches to her foot. Her hair looks like its floating and it makes her presence stand out more. "Asthaniel, you are quite loud when it's the first thing in the morning. So shut the hell up."

"Virgo! Please find Libra!"

Her height towers twice as tall as an average person. She has a glowing complexion with a red tinged lipstick. She is menacing in terms of looks and power to enemies, that even demons are afraid of her presence. Virgo shows a wide smile as though excited. "Oh, so someone on the East managed to give us a problem. It has been a while since we have some enemies that are worthy for us to come down."

"Shall I call the other Guardians?"

"No, I will handle this myself." Her eyes have turned menacing.

She then walks away with confidence, giving me an assurance that she will find Libra before Lord Jerome finds out.

Scorpio sighs concerned. He also looks at me. "I'll come with her and find this person. I'll make sure to bring him to you alive."

"Thank you Scorpio, that is comforting to hear."

I can't help but chuckle. I mean what kind of idiot would fight against the Light Church? The one who did this will experience the most gruesome torture that he will have that he would rather pray being dead. Of course, that also goes to his subjects and close to him. Mwahaha!

Eastern Overlord! Or whoever you are? Be sure to prepare yourself!

[Velia]

Flying across a barren wasteland with a gloomy look on my face while carrying the sealed Libra. I refuse to accept this but it seems to be a fact. This land is the entire western region. I know for certain since this is the direction of our base.

No vegetation nor greenery can be found on the land, just some dead roots and skeletons of monsters and men.

The air is also polluted with very toxic magic particles. Looks like war occured in here for very long time.

It wasn't always like this.

This used to be the like any other land, filled with lush forest and lively beasts. There were countries spanning through the land and even engaging in wars and trade like anyother country. Perhaps, everything changed after the entire forces of our lord got decimated.

Our lord may have encouraged wars among nations by managing tournament events amongs them but its due to his presence, it kept the nations from annihilating one another. And it looks like it's a fact. Without our lord, all that's left is a barren wasteland.

It was the churches' fault! Due to propaganda, some Western country and one of our Generals betrayed our lord. It's what's caused his downfall. After the church sealed our Lord using our treasure, the demon led by Rixer came over to pillage what's left of our treasures and magical items.

Also, during those times where I was sealed inside that demon's heart since I fought against him. I can't believe I finally got freed and is able to return here. I'm probably the only survivor of the Black Wood Army.

At last, I finally arrived to our base. The flying palace!

The flying palace is a floating island with a wide courtyard as the landing site. Also, its body is composed of a tall complex dark castle that it looks like buildings stacked one after another.

On the courtyard, the soldiers have been frozen into a stone. This petrification is one of those demon's capabilities probably from a higher ranking general of Fagrusil. As expected, no one is here but these statues and skeletons from the fallen warriors.

Regardless, I know where they sealed Lord Kaveris, it's on the top most portion of the castle.

First, I left the sealed Libra outside before entering the castle. Finding your way into the castle will be tough since it's built like a maze to confuse the enemy, not to mention the walls are imbued with magic so the paths changes everytime and resistance to attacks prevents it from being damaged. However, I have the know how of this castle. I know where to go.

Before I knew it, I'm already in the throne room.

Standing before me is a room-sized 256 dendrogram seal. Inside it is my Lord who has probably not awaken for centuries.

Seeing everything here got me emotional. I used to have great co-generals and loyal soldiers here. I thought that we were up to something great and we were unbeatable. I can't believe things became like this.

This is why I should revive everyone starting from my lord.

I wonder if I can connect my consciousness with my Lord. Touching the dendrogram seal crystal, I take a deep breath and concentrate. I'm going to dive deep into the dendrogram crystal. I'm going to use my spirit projection spell into this seal.

After casting the spell, I left half of my consciousness outside on my body and the other half to peer into the crystal.

While inside, it's just a white space everywhere with nothing else. My consciousness is floating aimlessly for hours and even days. I will do whatever it takes to find My Lord.

Until I came across a silhuoette with full of presence.

"Who's there?!" Says the silhuoette in a demanding tone.

I recognize this voice. No doubt, it's my lord.

"It's me Velia, my lord, I'm one of your generals!"

"Huh? Velia?" He says surprised and then laughs. "I'm glad you came and you survived against those bastards."

Hearing it, I feel relieved. I finally found him. We have been separated for so long. "My lord, it's good to see you but--"

"Yeah, you don't have to say it. The Western Palace is good as dead, but it won't be for too long until I get revived. That bastard Jerome just one day declared that he wanted to be God and got rid of us after Melanie's disappearance. I should have acted when Sagus got sealed by the demon lord. What a crazy ploy, but nothing excites me more than chaos! Haha."

"My lord, unless we have the key to the Dendrogram seal, I can't free you."

The key to the Dendrogram seal might be hidden inside the palace of the Heaven's district.

"My lord, I sealed one of the Saint Guardian and I propose we trade him with the key to free you."

"Velia, don't be naive. This is Jerome that we are talking about. That scumbag's ploy is top-tier. I can't even believe he even tricked Berto to betray the Black Wood army."

"But, my lord, at this rate we won't going anywhere."

"Haha! Worry not Velia, I have a plan. I want you to release that thing?"

"That thing?"

"What else? I'm talking about the Wordly Mythical Beast, Cerberus."

Cerberus is one of our trump card. A general monster of one out of the ten's territory of hell. He might cause a large destruction to this world but eventually it will get slain by someone else. So releasing it on the overworld is pointless.

However, Lord Kaveris is chuckling with confidencd, "haha, Velia you don't seem to see the bigger picture. Listen carefully, what you will do next will be vital."

There is some slight concern but I'm confident with my Lord's plan. Now, the future of our kingdom lies to me, I won't screw up. I few Dendrogram seals left. It might be enough for our plans to work.

For now, I go into the courtyard and summon the book hidden from the inner chambers of the castle. Only the Generals have the authority to summon it but with the condition that we got our Lord's permission. This old, dusty fat book is to summon Cerberus. I begin casting.

Later, for about a few years, I finally did it.

The gates of hell appears in mid air just besides the Flying Palace. The dark gates are looking creepy with its skull with horns pattern. It opens slowly, and souls tends to creep out, then it shoots out a dark meteor that lands the ground below.

After the impact, it lights up the entire area with a black light that even lights up the sky. No doubt, anyone even from the distant lands will be notified.

I smile in ecstasy, exclaiming, "Cerberus, retake the old glory our kingdom once have! May you be the entity that signifies the rage of our Lord and the Dark Mountain army! Roam free and destroy everything in your path."
