Chapter 90

Max got back home that quite early that day.He was relieved that his misery was almost solved or rather half solved and know, if Renna was to go, then he didn't want her to come back to him ever again. She had left him twice already and that time he moved on without any hardship and now that he had Ammy, he couldn't think twice about cutting her off from his life.

He had moved on, he was married and he was happy and he really loved his wife.

He walked to his room and got to the bathroom. He freshened up and got into a pair of shorts and shirt and slippers and walked down to his study room.He grabbed a bottle of wine on the table, poured some in a glass and sipped.

He unhurriedly paced in the room the wine glass in his hands as he swirled the wine.

An image of his wife, Ammy, popped in his mind. She was smiling broadly, deep holes appeared on her cheeks.

She was so damn beautiful and her beauty made him ogle abit.

He realized that since he met Ammy, he had been truly happy....happy than he ever imagined he would be in his life.

Looking back at his life since he met Ammy,he could now agree to his therapist's word,Dr Maggie.. Ammy had healed him,she was all he needed in his life and he wouldn't let some selfish human tear them apart.

He paused a little when a question hit his mind...did what he shared with Renna really a lie!?

He himself never thought of it that way.He always knew that they once had a deep affection for each other and all their relatives were aware of that.

But something happened:

Eleven Years Ago;

It was on a Sunday, a walk day for him and his girlfriend.Renna always came to their house and together they would go out but that day he waited and waited and waited but she never appeared. The sun set and darkness took over.

He was so worried about her.He didn't know why she had not appeared and not even sent a text to notify him why she didn't make it that day.

He took his phone and tried calling her number several times but it was unreachable.

He got worried.

Placing the phone back into his pocket, he got out of his room and ran downstairs.

He came across a young man, maybe seven to eight years older than himself.

"Are you going out Maxwell?"the young man asked curiously.

"Ofcourse I am...get me the car keys,"Maxwell responded as he halted to a sudden stop.

The other man frowned at him in confusion and curiousity.

It was late already!

"What?...I asked for the car keys not an ugly frown from you,"Maxwell snapped at him.

Oh yeah, he was already full of despise, arrogance and rude like no one else.

His fierce and dangerous looking eyes gawked at the man before him angrily.

"It already late Maxwell,"the young man reminded him incase he had forgotten.

"I know that Colbert.I do have eyes as well so I can see that it's dark and I can see the time but that's not your business,"he yelled at him, his eyes wide and furious.

"It's my job to keep you safe Maxwell,"Colbert responded. He had grown used to his yells, his anger, his arrogance, the wanting attitude he possessed...he was used to all that.

The cute , quite and humble kid had turned into a handsome but arrogant and rude young man.

"Mr Storm hired you to be my servant and not an officer and stay with the damn keys if you can't hand them over,"he hissed at him angrily and ran downstairs without sparing the young man a glance.

He walked to the gate and yelled at the guard to open it.Out of pure fear and respect, he opened the gate and Maxwell ran all the way to the Evan's residence.

The gate was opened for him. They all knew who he was.

Maxwell walked towards the building. It seemed quiet and quite dark.Something seemed off that day but he gathered his bravery and approached the old lady who was standing at the door.

"Grandma Winnie,"he greeted her.No smile on.

That time, he hardly smiled at anyone but only Renna and his young brother Michael and Milady.

"Hello Maxwell, you really look bigger than before and more handsome too,"she responded in her old shaky voice.Max couldn't help but think that all that was ironical...he had been there just a week ago.

"Thank you granny.Am here for.."

"For Renna.Am aware of that Maxwell but am surprised why you are here,"she responded making Max narrow his left eye at her.

What was that even supposed to mean!?

"I haven't seen her the whole day...it's kinder unusual for her,"he responded.

"I didn't mean it that way.Didnt she tell you that she is out of the City?"the old woman ask and Max bit his lip in anger while shaking his head.

Why would she leave without letting him know?

"For how long?"the young Maxwell asked.

"Mr Evans opened a new company in Spark and wanted to move there so they all left but Mrs Evans and Rayan will be back but miss Renna will be leaving in Spark with Mr Evans,"the old lady explained.

Max nodded at her and left the compound without any other word.

He was deeply hurt.It seems that everyone he cared about was determined in leaving him alone.

He wanted to cry but he couldn't.He had promised himself not to cry anymore...never to shed a tear, atleast not for a lady.

If she decided to leave without letting him know then...all the best to her and her new life.

He walked back to his house..angry,hurt and in agony.

Five Years Later,

"I think we both need this Max.It has been a really rough day,"Vivan spoke as the two got into the pub. They had just left work and they were all tired...and cool drink in such a noisy place is something they truly needed.

They drank quite too much and as they were staggering out, they met with Viviana at the door.

"And where are you going to?"Vivan asked her sister who seemed shocked and surprised to see them there. She was all alone, no date.

"I came to have a drink Vivan,"she responded calmly, her large eyes on them.

"I see...are there no drinks at the house?"Vivan asked her and she gulped. The young man would always be a total freak, moreso when drank.Max silently watched the siblings argue. He actually never had such time nor energy to argue with her younger brother or her younger sister.

He would always be locked in his room and get out to be with them only if they wanted to play and nothing more....and only if they really bothered him.

He wouldn't go out just to start a fight or quarrel with them...and yes, he loved his siblings very much and would rather let them do as they pleased and not dare ask them anything.

To him, they were Storms and could do as they pleased any time they wanted to.

"Let me drive you two home,"Viviana volunteered and dragged his drank brother to the car as Max followed them.He was drank too but not as worse as his friend.

They arrived at their home later on and Viviana dragged her brother to his room the offered to drop Maxwell home since he had left his car at the bar's parking...no driving when drank.

They arrived at the Storms Mansion much later.Max got out of the car and tried to stand but it was quite difficult. He was staggering and he almost fell.

Viviana ran to his side and helped him.Max turned to her and looked at her.She was pretty as well and those lips of hers were so beautiful and inviting as she told him to be careful.

"Hold it there now, we are almost at the door,"she spoke but he kept on staring at her.

Just a step from the door,Max couldn't take the torture those lips were giving him.He really wanted to get a taste of them.

He pulled her to himself and captured her lips without warning nor permission making Viviana widen her eyes both in shock and surprise. He kissed her so deeply that she was running out of breathe. He pulled away and looked at her eyes.

"You are so beautiful Vee"he whispered hoarsely looking at her and she smiled.

Really, she knew that he and his brother were very close but who wouldn't like being complimented and kissed by such a HOT guy!?

This time, she took the move and kissed him again.

Deeply.... hungrily... wanting... lustily.

"Perhaps you two should go inside,"a female voice made them break their kiss.

Max pulled away from Viviana as he looked at the girl standing before them.

She was fully matured now, more beautiful, more pretty and sexy.

It seemed to him that surprising and annoying him was something she really enjoyed doing these days!

"Renna!"he called with uncertainty.
