"Go on and have fun. Kids at your age are in the season of picking friends. You better not be left out.." His mom scooted him closer towards the entrance of the park.
He was 5 now and had developed a lot of powers.
Those of which include, Flight, X-Ray Vision, Heat Vision, Frost Breath, Super Vision, Healing, Self-Sustenance, Super Smell, Superhuman Hearing, Superhuman Speed, Superhuman Stamina, and Longevity.
"Friends, you say? Guess it can't hurt.." For a 5 year old, he looked around 10, including his height. "I'll be taking care of your sister while talking with the other moms.
Don't you embarrass me!" He looked out the corner of his eye at his mom and baby sister.
'Dad came back from overseas when I turned 4. He stayed for a single night and left us with, Lily. My 16 month old sister..' His dad had a quirk which gave him flight and enhanced senses/strength. He wasn't the strongest hero, but he was indeed popular way back when.
"I'm not gonna embarrass you, mom. I feel like you'll embarrass me though.." A vein became apparent on her forehead as her eye brows became twitchy. "One.." She started counting which freaked Clark out. "Two.." He started walking away with a shiver.
"Ha. Just tell me when your ready to leave baby. I know you'll find me~.." She blew him a kiss from behind and started walking away herself.
'Mom sure is scary. Oh, wait, it's her time of the month..' With enhanced smell, he could smell about anything up to the...entire world.
It was something he was learning to control along with a few other things like hearing and sight. He would sometimes see into people uncontrollably and would sometimes hear people's thoughts.
Walking throught the central park of New York City, he found things to be sort of peaceful. People jogging, doing yoga, throwing frisbees, playing board games, or just lying in the sun. 'I rarely get out the house. I should enjoy the outside a little more..'
In the sun, he felt energized and full of vitality. It was definitely because of his Phsiology, but he didn't care. 'While I have basically every power of base superman, my body is still growing to become as strong as his.
I'd say that when I actually turn 10, I'll completely be superman... Well, not completely superman, but you know what I mean..'
As he walked throughout the park with his hands in his pockets, he suddenly heard a scream. It was high pitched and was full of agony, neverending as well. 'S-So loud...'
He groaned as he began to float. 'You're not supposed to use quirks without a license, but whatever. The trees can cover me..' And like that, he flew towards the scream. He would go through gaps between trees, over and under people and through much more.
Arriving at a play ground, he stopped behind bushes and stared. What he saw was a girl on monkey bars crying while holding on for dear life.
There were some kids beneath her who were trying to calm her down and or catch her. 'She's kinda cute..' Though this is morally wrong to think,
..he didn't care.
Who's gonna stop him?
Let's be real here, because no ones gonna stop him. 'I'll help out if it means I'll have a chance..' He stopped hiding from behind the bushes and came out. "I'll help her..."
They all looked in his direction. Upon seeing his height and courageous look, sparkles formed in their eyes.
"P-Please help her down!" A kid with brown hair said while pointing up a her. "Yeah! We don't wanna see her hurt herself!" Another spoke while tugging on Nolan's shorts. "Okay.." He was a little bewildered to see them all crying and so, he hurried.
Putting his hands up, he grabbed her sides and said, "I won't drop you. It's safe now.." She let go and had instantly wrapped her arms and legs around him, whimpering and shaking in fear. 'Why the hell was she even climbing this thing unsupervised? Where exactly are their parents anyways..?'
Now that he looked at the children, they all seemed of higher social status. "You did it! Thank you!" The kids said as he sat her down onto the ground and patted her clothes off. "No problem. Just don't uhm...just don't do any of this again.."
They nodded simultaneously while forming a circle around him. In total, there were 5 kids. Well, 6 but one of them was far off playing by themselves. "My name is, Billy, aka, the coolest kid around! I'll be the worlds coolest hero!"
The one who spoke, like most of the other boys, had brown hair and a skinny frame. Out of all of them, he seemed to be the joker, or the one who brings laughs.
"Barry. I hope to be a cop in the future.." This kid had brown hair and yellow-orange eyes. He was a normal kid who had normal dreams.
"Oliver." This one was reserved and cunning. He liked to watch how things played out first then strike.
"Hal! And thanks for saving my woman!" Brown hair with brown eyes. From his looks and manner of speech, you could tell he'd be a future playboy. 'And last but not least..' He looked at the girl who had already composed herself.
"Diana." She had curly, dirty blond hair followed by light blue eyes. In the future, she'd definitely be a beauty. "And I'm not your woman!" She threw sand in Hal eyes, an act which caused him to cry in pain. His crying made the others laugh and mock him.
"W-What's your name..?" She tugged on Nolan's clothes, catching his attention and the other kids. "My name,..it's Nolan. It's nice to meet you all.." The kids admired his name while crawling onto him. They thought of him as a sort of big brother that's why.
'Wait, I know these kids..' Nolan lived in a part of New York that allowed for mansions. He lived in one of those said mansions while..'Yeah, they're my neighbors.
Never payed any mind to them because I didn't feel like it..' As the kids kept examining his stature, Nolan remembered he had to tell them something.
"Oh, by the way, I'm the same age as you guys.."
""Huh..?""
The word came out without them realizing. "Huha. Yeah, sorry for not saying so sooner.." As he left them with gaped mouths, the chapter ended with Nolan smiling and laughing awkwardly.
