Draco could see the man watching him out of the corner of his eye, something was telling him that something wasn't right here. Deciding to try something, Draco took out the spiderlings spineweb, holding it up like he was inspecting it while watching the knight out of the corner of his eye.
Draco watched as the man gripped the hilt of his sword so tight his knuckles turned white. He bumped the mages foot with his and she looked up at the guy, then followed his eyes till they got to the spineweb. Her eyes widened before looking Draco up and down. Draco acted like he finished inspecting it and acted like he put it into his pocket, when it went into his pocket he made it go into his inventory, replacing it with the largest gem from the goblin's.
Now that Draco thought about it, the way his clothes were when he woke up, they had searched him, made even more obvious seeing as his weapons were sitting a couple feet away from where he was laying. Plus his ring was on the wrong finger which meant they took it off. It must have been seriously confusing when he pulled that stone out of nowhere. He decided now would be the best time to inspect them.
He looked at the man and greeted him when he saw the eye he grabbed it and did the same to the mage. Then he looked over to Ann and did the same. He was able to see Ann's stats which meant she was an F rank healer. Besides Ann, All of them were too powerful for him to get their stats but it did confirm that they didn't have an ability to sense his mana, which was good. He used predators tracking on all of them so he could always see them and would do the same when the other two arrived.
Draco was curious to see if it would work on the scout who had a stealth ability. Draco stood up, saying he wanted to look around, which was true. He had no idea where he currently was compared to the main doors and if what he thought was going down did In fact go down, he would need to know where the exit was. Because he wouldn't be getting any help leaving here alive.
As he walked around, he stretched his legs, sometimes leaning against the huge trees for balance. The three onlookers thought he was just missing a few screws as he continued to lose his balance and trip over rocks that were sometimes super obviously there and even things that weren't there. The knight and mage couldn't fathom how someone like this had acquired a spineweb that big.
They looked at each other with disbelief, both deciding that he must have kill stolen to get it. Draco walked back slowly to the area after stopping and peeing. The two watching thought he was making a run for it so they ran behind the rock, only to find him with his pants down to his ankles trying to write his name with pee.
The man was behind him so he didn't see anything except his cheeks, but the mage was in front of him so she saw him wielding his ink pen of choice. Her face turned a bright red when her eyes traveled south Before she spun and sprinted back to where they had been sitting before. The knight saw the woman's face and started to chuckle, earning a smack from the mage.
Draco expected them to come after him; he even saw the lady's outline coming around the front, but he steeled his resolve and simply continued to write his name. After walking back, he took his arm out of the splint, thanking Ann while he did it. He started to rotate his wrist and arm at the elbow. It wasn't 100% and he suspected they intended for that. Seeing as his right wrist was already completely fine.
He guessed seeing the bow next to him, they figured leaving an arm out of commission would be beneficial for them. He needed more time to heal it if he wanted to do anything with it. He walked over to the pile with his weapons and slowly bent down to pick up the tactical knife which was still in its holder. He slowly strapped the holder around his left leg before taking the bow and quiver of arrows and putting them into his ring inventory instead of his window one.
"Do you know where we are compared to where you found the Bronchorn spear? My group is hopefully looking for me, we are a bunch of F ranks and although we have been killing the weak stragglers, they won't stand a chance against something like that." The three looked at each other. Whether they had a way to communicate through thought or if they were just reading body language Draco couldn't tell. And although they all tried to conceal the look they gave him, Draco knew what it was as he had seen it before. Each one had given him a look he had seen in his cousin's eyes many times. GREED.
They told him to sit and wait for their group to regroup. After 10 minutes the tank Leo came out from behind a tree. He was walking towards Draco with his shield in his hand when he suddenly stopped and looked at the knight with a look of contemplation. Draco thought to himself. 'So they have been talking telepathically, which one is the holder of the ability is the question though.'
The Tank put the shield back onto his back and looked back at Draco. "Your group, how many?" Draco took a second to answer. "We started off at 6 but two died to a massive spider that surprised us when we were fighting these little green men." The tank again looked over at the three, Draco couldn't look around but if he had to guess the scout should be behind him ready to slit his throat.
The Tanks eyes quickly dropped to Draco's right pocket and then back up to Draco's face, looking for any signs of false hood. Finding no obvious signs of trickery and what Draco assumed was his group pushing for him to allow Draco to live to get to his group's bounty, the Tank gave in. "We can head to where we found your body, from there you can lead the way to rescue your party."
Draco was glad he didn't have to act on his plan now as he still couldn't see the scout. "Shouldn't we wait for the scout?" Suddenly the scout was right beside him. Draco jumped back clutching his chest like his heart was about to explode. As he did that, he cast
He looked back at the Tank to confirm it was the right direction, casting
They had been walking for about five minutes and Draco started becoming astonished at how far they had taken him. "I'll start leading." The Tank said, moving to the front of the group. That's when the Scout went invisible. Draco couldn't hold back a smile when the faint green glow dimmed but didn't break, meaning it would hold up. However as he watched from the corner of his eye he saw that when the scout would go quite a bit away or when a lot of stuff was between them, the outline would become harder to see.
Draco wondered if he was able to add more mana to the cast and maybe that would super charge it. But what he really had to be weary about was how the Scout was positioning itself not three steps behind Draco. And he had his weapon out which meant he was waiting for the mental command to kill him. The group continued walking for a bit before Draco started to act bored, so he took out his tactical knife and started to practice with it. Swinging it around like he saw other Strikers that used daggers did.
The other four tensed when he did this, ready to jump into action if they needed to. 'Most likely thinking I knew where Scar was' they eased up after a second, no doubt getting confirmation that he wasn't being aimed at. "Don't mean to alarm you guys. I got this as a gift, but I have no idea how to use it properly. So I've been practicing whenever I get a chance." That's what Draco said but he was really trying to give the scout a false sense of distance. And sure enough the scout started getting closer, not a lot but it was noticeable. Draco checked his stats one last time before everything was going to go to shit.
