What's coming

Danny and the rest of the crew had already started preparing to leave for Dirvan since the king had already ordered for them to come back to the castle and wait for the search team to report back to the kingdom. Normally they would have disagreed and strayed off on their own paths, but Rian's reassurance was a lot confusing than usual and they decided to leave with him, not like there was any options for the crew; they all still lived under their parents. Rian was the only one who hadn't gotten aboard, the rest were basically waiting while Jund prepared the ship for a ride back home.

"You insolent brats…" The priest yelled before using his long crucifix to tie the dead bodies up, defeating them wasn't an easy task but it was certainly entertaining for the old man who just smiled as he dragged all the bodies to the backyard where a pit had been dug for the bodies.

"Ah…Alantu siyanah …" The priest said in a sinister tone while grinning and staring up at the night sky like he could see something he so craved for.

"…Killing you would be much fun than I thought. Oh…The night of the 8th moon…me…I…" He stopped for a moment; the once holy priest had turned into something of a brain damaged creep. Like melting ice, his skin dissolved revealing a familiar face which was no other than Emmax the past. Not the true emperor himself but another who claims to be him, to be from him and to be synced to his master's most distasteful desires. He had a resemblance to Emmax except a more pale face and bulgy eyes. He couldn't control his words due to the happiness he felt in the twisted mind of his.

"Ah… The 8th moon…Ah…" This came with chuckles as he proceeded to throw the bodies into the pit, his back bent like a rod, he turned to the left as soon as he heard the barking of a dog. Nevertheless, his creepy smile never left his face, he just kept on giggling and before one could mention 'snap' pieces of the dog was everywhere. Emmax the past walked into the darkness, slowly whilst giggling at intervals.

Gary turned to Vincent who only looked back at him with excitement and joy. They didn't know what they were getting into but were just filled with excitement and wanted to quench their curiosity. The place had may wonders but one could only explore so far and so well, the rest were to be kept a secret. Gary turned to look at Miash once again; he had a strange feeling about him ever since the two saw each other and one thing he always remembered anytime he gazed upon him were the two hellhounds chasing him to retrieve the optisiar, something about him just felt demonic and he wouldn't be far from right as Old man proceeded to introduce him formally.

"Boys this is my younger brother; Miash a demonic mage. And Miash, these are my two students, Gary and Vincent." Gary and Vincent both thought the same thing, since the two could communicate with each other through psychic means. They both gave him an awkward 'hello' while Miash just saluted in return.

"Wow, you both look identical, twins?" Miash asked.

"Uh…"

"Yes they are." Old man came in to rescue them from an awkward situation.

'He's a demonic mage; Demonic mages pets are mostly hellhounds.' Gary thought.

'Yeah, no shit. You really think it's him?' Vincent replied.

'I just have this gut feeling that it's this man, trust me, the moment we get into those capsules, he'd nick away the optisiar and then run off to God-knows-where.' Vincent had to roll his eyes when he heard this.

"Big bro…"

"Yes." Old man who just stood observing answered looking back at Miash.

"Come with me, there's something I need to discuss with you."

"Alright then, boys look around but don't touch anything okay." Old man announced before leaving with his brother."

"Don't touch anything okay." Gary mocked. "We're nineteen for fuck's sake and he keeps treating us like we're his little nine year olds.

Vincent now had a broad understanding of what the place was about, the place didn't always get access to the place, but not much people knew about the existence of the place, it was only known to some sacred type of people. That was the only logical explanation since if only a fraction of the magical society should know about its existence, then it would have been flooded with people from different universe, trying to learn and amass great knowledge, but there was a level to what a person could learn since no one could have a great understanding about all fields of magic, the gamble is you know one to its depth or you know all and have average knowledge about them, Some magic, people were born with, while some magic people learn how to use. Ever since he was little he had always amassed the special kinds of magic, he didn't have at the time so he could only learn since he couldn't just waste his time waiting for his body to go up in flames or start seeing visions in his dream. He was the type of person who would always strive to achieve something even though he didn't have any logical way of achieving such.

Gary just kept on marveling at what he saw; he didn't mean to draw up a conclusion like Vincent. All he needed to conclude that magic was 'cool as fu*k'. He briskly walked forward, caressing the rows of books; some of the languages were just bizarre except the ones Vincent had already learnt.

'Hell magic'

'Hell rune symbols'

'Hell flame magic'

'Hell... why is there so much hell...' Gary thought was stopped immediately when one of the librarians answered his question despite not speaking out loud.

'You are at the section 'Demonicia inferno' where anything related to hellish and demonic powers are… By any chance, are you a demonic mage?" The librarian asked Gary who was stunned and couldn't reply for the first few seconds.

"Uh… No, no I'm not." Gary replied.

"Ok, then what sort of magic do you inquire about?" The librarian who had no mouth visible but still spoke asked while lowering his head in a respectful manner.

"Uh… Flame…" Gary immediately found himself in another section, like the floors moved. Vincent who was also with him had been brought along, Gary and Vincent both exchanged glances, the section looked simple and the two stood in front of a large shelf. Circular tables could now be seen, each having a lamp and a little sphere which blocked out any form of sound.

"What's your problem Gary?" Vincent asked dragging Gary's hand pulling him away from the librarian. "Old man said we shouldn't touch anything." Gary raised an eyebrow; he always hated this side of Vincent, always being paranoid and afraid to break some rules. He really was a stone cold nerdy honor student.

"Relax, there's no harm in checking out a few books. What, don't you want to fill up your dorky brain with some enchantments?" Gary said with a weird smile on his face as he tried his hardest to entice Vincent into joining him.

"Aright fine, just one book. And do you know how we head back?"

"Oh we just need to…" Gary stopped in his tracks as soon as he noticed that the librarian was absent. "…We'll figure out that later." Gary smiled before proceeding to pick up a book from the shelves.

Old man had already sense the tension in the air ever since Gary set his eyes on Miash and he didn't want to just point out the obvious and ask Gary about it, rather he planned to wait and ask his brother about it since he knew he was always up to mischief here and there. He had come to a reasoning that Miash knew about the optisiar and was probably sent by someone to retrieve it, since he was a mercenary with two hellhounds that could hunt down anything it was told to hunt. That could actually be the case and if it was, then he needed to have a chat with his little brother. As tiresome as it seemed, he had to try his best to convince Miash to stay out of this mad parade. Knowing his past history and how he really loved the bag, it wouldn't be surprising if he declined. If that was the case, then he would have to declare Miash an enemy and do everything he can to stop him. It wasn't like they were real brothers, their history dated centuries ago when the two were still kids. Born into war, they only knew about the bloodshed and horrible sights and this had an effect on them. Two lost boys united due a never-ending war, together they outgrew all expectations and were finally able to use their brute strength to stop the war which had been going on for a really long time. This war resulted in so many events that only the two 'orphans' as they were called could explain it.

"You know why I called you her I assume…"

"Yes, who paid you and how much." Old man asked with a look of disdain written on his face.

"Pretty hefty sum and it was the monarch of destiny." Miash wasn't scared of giving him every detail since nothing was going to obstruct his plan which was already in motion.

"Miash, stop this madness and let the boy be." Miash chuckled when he heard this, tucking his hands into his pockets while he stared at the ceilings which were designed in gold decoration. TH e whole room was wide and empty, and the white walls portrayed the illumination of the golden sun. Gold and black chessboard-like carpet overlaid the floor and several vintage paintings hung on the wall.

"Well, you know I won't and as we speak, my dogs are already headed to your boys." Old man's eyes widened before he firmly gripped Miash arms.

"Miash stop this you'll get us banned."

"I now but first I'll get your boys. The night of the 8th moon is coming soon, and there's no power you can use that would stop predators from different angles…"

"…That night would bring upon such malevolence never seen before, if the kid survives then the aftermath would be a huge blow and you fucking know it! So… Don't blame me if I'm helping an old friend for some hefty cash." Old man knew that he was very well right, maybe there was nothing he could do, but that was why he was here; to expose Gary to the knowledge of magic but now it seems that his brother would stop every single plan he had. If all went south, he would have no choice but to leave Gary alone since he wasn't bound to be the boy's master; he was just an old man seeking for adventure.

"You won't get past me. I'll kill you then your dogs." Old man's eyes brightened and so did his Azura.

"Oh yes… Finally I get to fight a monarch!!"
