Chapter 125: Werewolf Tears

Harry had enough; he didn't want to play with Malfoy anymore.

He was ready to go to the school hospital to find Ivan and Hermione to check their injuries.

'By the way, I have to find Ron; I haven't seen him since we got separated in the morning,' Harry thought, Ron certainly didn't know that Ivan and Hermione were attacked by a werewolf. Harry thought he should tell him the news, and they could all discuss the matter of Sirius Black together.

However, he stopped when he heard a miserable hoarse cry for help coming from Professor Lupin's office.

It really did sound like Ron's voice!

Why would Ron be in Professor Lupin's office? and why would he be calling for help?

Harry didn't have time to think about such things and ran for the door.

But Malfoy was faster than him. He was already standing in front of the door. He gently waved his wand and it opened.

Almost instantly, the crowd rushed into the office. The interior decor was very plain and shabby; with few decorations. Most striking was a large water tank that stood in the corner. A sickly green creature with small, sharp horns had its face pressed against the glass.

It was a Grindylow, making faces and flexing its long, thin fingers.

In front of the tank, Ron was pale, his hands clenching his wand in front of him, his body trembling and his face full of horror and anxiety.

He looked back and saw Harry running in and immediately fell to the ground.

Harry saw Ron with his mouth open, as if he was silently crying. His eyes were bulging out.

He seemed to be calling his name.

"What happened, Ron?!" Harry ran forward, anxiously asking, "What are you doing here?!"

Harry stopped talking, and turned to where Ron was looking, where he saw a choking creature cowering under Professor Lupin's desk staring at him with its yellow eyes.

The creature had its hands on its head, and was curled up under the desk. Its body was similar to that of a normal human, but it was covered in long dark gray hair. It was its head that was horrible.

It was a wolf's head.

It was a werewolf. Harry hastily pulled out his wand as fear filled his mind.

Ivan and Hermione had just been attacked by a werewolf in Hogsmeade; and now there is a werewolf entering Hogwarts castle. Is it here to attack young wizards as well?

But under the table, that creature wasn't going to take any drastic action, nor was it trying to use its sharp fangs and claws to bite the young bodies of the students, it just huddled there and looked at Harry helplessly with a pained expression on its face.

Harry was surprised to see tears coming from the werewolf's eyes. As he looked at the werewolf, he suddenly felt that his gaze was actually familiar.

Harry felt that those eyes were not suited to such a creature. He had a feeling that the werewolf crying in front of him was none other than Professor Lupin.

How could that be possible? how could Professor Lupin possibly be a werewolf?

Something must have gone wrong. Maybe it was a failed experiment; maybe it was a spell that backfired on him turning him into this.

Otherwise, how could he explain that the beast before him hadn't rushed to tear him apart yet?

Harry felt it necessary to communicate with him. At least from the looks of it here, this werewolf was completely different from the legend. He didn't seem to be dangerous at all.

"Professor Lupin?" Harry said quietly. He said it so quietly that he couldn't even hear himself, as if only his lips were moving.

The werewolf curled further under his desk and nodded. His watery eyes were full of pain.

"Oh my God!" Harry's eyes widened. His guess was correct, the werewolf was Lupin.

But now, he was no longer afraid, and the warmth returned to his body. He lowered his wand and approached him. She had to help him.

But before he reached him, he heard Malfoy shouting behind him. "Look what we found, a werewolf that broke into the castle!"

Malfoy walked over and looked at Professor Lupin huddled under his desk, and immediately ran to see his fellow Slytherins. It appeared that not a drop of blood ran down his pale face. However, his mouth wore an unprecedentedly malicious grin.

Harry glared furiously at Malfoy, who pretended to be shocked.

He and the other Slytherin students must have known all this beforehand; otherwise, they wouldn't have taken everyone straight to Professor Lupin's office.

It was an obvious conspiracy. Maybe they were the ones who had turned it into this.

Harry wanted to explain to everyone that the werewolf in front of them was Professor Lupin, and that he wasn't dangerous.

But it was to no avail. Hearing Malfoy's whine, everyone gasped as he took a step back.

The atmosphere was frightening and everyone thought of the attack that had just occurred in Hogsmeade.

There were too many victims in the school hospital, and rumor had it that the werewolf killed the 2nd grader named Ivan Mason.

Now, a werewolf entered the castle and was right in front of them.

Is he here to attack them? That was too horrible. Panic spread among them gradually. After all, werewolves used to be more like mythical creatures. But now, they had been appearing one after another. And besides, whoever was bitten by one of them would become a werewolf.

No one dared to approach the table. Only Harry and Ron were still there.

Harry turned and saw Percy running out of the crowd. So he wanted to ask him to stop more people from seeing Professor Lupin's current appearance.

He could tell by the professor's eyes that he was in pain.

Harry thought about persuading everyone to understand that there was no werewolf down there, and that it was just Professor Lupin. But there was no time for him to do so; Ron, who was standing next to him, suddenly whispered, "Diffindo!"

Immediately, his wand emitted a dazzling red light!

"No, Ron!" Harry shouted loudly. But Ron's curse went right through him to hit poor Lupin, who was huddled under the table.

No, he actually missed him.

The red light hit not Professor Lupin, but his table.

Bang! It flew backwards, and Professor Lupin, who had been hiding underneath, appeared as a werewolf to everyone.

"Hiss!" Seeing Professor Lupin's appearance, all the young wizards held their breath as they took another step back.
