Chapter-12

With her thoughts wandering, Linda glanced down the highway. She was completely worn out due to her days' intense workload.

The capital is currently in complete disarray; new monsters appear every day, and regular crimes were also being committed in broad daylight. She initially questioned Kai's decision, but now she was able to understand why he was so eager to get going.

Although it may not seem as bad as in zombie movies, the situation is not that far off. Having escaped the prison, the monsters spent the entire night wreaking havoc throughout the entire city. Even though the TCF and army attempted to contain the damage, the panic the monsters caused was so great that nearly half of the civilians turned into Cravers.

She needed to get out of the capital quickly with her convoy. The capital had fallen.

Kai went back to his makeshift office in the interim.

The outbreak occurred more quickly than he anticipated, and things are not as they seemed to be. Since the construction of the walls and fortress only began yesterday, the town of Bram was vulnerable to all kinds of threats.

"Knock, knock," was said.

The guard said, "Boss, I have something to report.".

"Come in."

"Boss, Ms.Linda contacted us this morning to inform us that they had left the capital and that it had been destroyed." As he looked at Kai's expression, he reported.

Even though Kai was aware that the news couldn't be avoided, he still scowled when he heard it. Time is slipping away, and he wishes he had more time to get ready.

They weren't prepared for the outbreak, the beasts, the troublesome werewolves, or the potential Craver's attack.

"How were the locals faring?"

"For the mayor and the other three, we had chips inserted, so they are now under control. We're just waiting for them to wake up. "

"Try to explain the situation to them after they turn around, assuming they don't have any further issues. I want all of the Bram residents to complete the implantation of the chips today, so they can convince other citizens as they see fit. "

"Yes, boss, I agree."

Before departing to complete the command, the guard cast a glance at Kai.

Kai soon walked out of the building to meet Ray. He is at a loss as to what to do now; initially, he intended to remain covert and complete all of the outbreak preparations, but the timing couldn't be worse. He was not in much better of a situation than those in the capital.

If he is unable to implant the chips into the townspeople in time, his people will have to deal with at least 15,000 Cravers and lose their labor resources.

A plaza on the outskirts of the city, not far from the slum.

Boom. !

Boom. !

In the capital, two simultaneous explosions couldn't have been grenade comparisons. To fend off the monsters, the military, and TCF must use tanks and armored vehicles.

Rat. tat. tat. rat.

They don't know how, but after the accident in the prison, the entire capital was engulfed in chaos, making it a living hell. One by one, the ordinary people began to transform into monsters.

"Ahhhhhh!".

My arm. Oh, no. ".

" Ughh".

The plaza was filled with the screams of people who had been bit and died.

Swiiiiith. !

Juan turned to face the monster that had thrown the scrap metal at him after hearing what sounded like a knife brushing by over his head. If not for his quick reaction, his head and body would have parted ways forever at a speed, which is frighteningly rapid.

Juan, who had spent the entire night running from these monsters, couldn't help but gasp. He is now forced to fight.

His focus is on the monster as he draws the military dagger from his waist., The monster once more threw Juan a piece of scrap metal. He used his dagger to repel the mental piece, but the force left his arm numb. Juan rushed toward the monster while tightly gripping the dagger, to prevent it from grabbing another projectile.

But he miscalculated the monster's speed and responsiveness. The monster's claws tore at the car's body as it jumped behind it from the left side. The monster and Juan are now only separated by a car after Juan became aware of the situation and stopped rushing to take cover while crouching down next to the same vehicle.

Juan's calculations were interrupted when the monster abruptly jumped over the car and threw a mental at him. Juan quickly rolled back, but the monster's claws were advancing toward his head. He felt as though time stood still as he stared helplessly at the monster's claws. All he wanted was to survive, so why the hell is he always being hunted? He doesn't understand why they won't leave him alone.

His life was that of a typical dirt-poor hooligan from his early years until now because he was an orphan. To make ends meet, he performed all kinds of shady tasks. He has no lofty ambitions, such as rising to the position of leadership or becoming a wealthy businessman; all he wants is to live a normal life free from worry, a reliable job, and a comfortable place to rest.

He is not qualified to work in an office, however, and his past reputation prevents him from finding part-time employment. He had recently joined the blue eagles' gang with much effort, but they were no longer there. He constantly felt under pressure to survive, was mocked by society, and felt like his life was worthless.

"Oh, my God."

As a result of his reluctance to submit to life and his rage, he decided to forgo defense and try to drag the monster to hell with him. His hand, which is holding the dagger, doesn't move as he would like; rather, it feels like it is moving in the damn mud-fill pounds.

faster and faster!!!

Swiftttt.

He had no idea that his vision had returned to normal as soon as his dagger had pierced the monster's neck.

"Oh, fuck. huh. huh. " As he lay in the blood next to the monster, he gasped for air. His muscles were screaming in agony, and he thought his head might split.

"He appeared to be alive." Person 1

"Let's take him along. "Person 2.

"He must be a strong person, To battle with a craver one-on-one.".

Juan relaxed his tense mind after hearing what they had said. He had been feeling particularly stressed out lately and had been longing for some downtime.

Ba clan martial arts school.

Denzai Ba peered through the window while squatting against the wall. He witnessed a creature that resembled a humanoid lizard and was covered in green scales. Its tongue occasionally protruded from its mouth like a snake. As the monster passed by the window, he held his breath.

A short while later, the monster vanished from view, and he exhaled. To fight this kind of monsters it would take all of his strength. If they fight within their hearing range, the monsters will keep coming over.

He must keep as much of his strength in reserve. Only four people—him, Diwa Saw, the other two trainees, and the center as a whole—left. As they moved in the direction of the door, he made a hand gesture.

About his family, he was now extremely concerned. His body was tense with nerves as he carefully walked down the center's hallway. Diwa Saw, who had been silently following him, muttered, "Head, how about we hide in the center and wait for the army?"

Denzai Ba shakes his head and says, "I've already tried to contact them, but all the connections were down. They probably don't have enough time to excuse us. I'm afraid that we won't be able to leave this building permanently if we don't leave right away."

He needed to return to his house, and that was what he was worried about. The number of monsters was excessive, even though martial arts warriors protect his family. He wished his wife and daughter had been secure.

Denzai exhales loudly. "Go back to your families right away if you guys want to, you guys. I need to investigate my family situation as well." He said as he turned to face the two students.

"I have nowhere to go; the center is my home. I will adhere to you. "Diwa answered right away.

"Head, thank you for saving our lives. We want to go check on our family." The other two trainees exchanged glances before bowing to Denzai. They all echoed the same phrase.

Naturally, Denzai nodded and said, "Okay, boys, good luck. We should ideally reconnect in pleasant circumstances. "

They split apart as they unlocked the front door. Broken bodies and wrecked cars littered the roads. If he had to describe the view of the city, he would say that it was hell on earth. There were cries, gunshots, fire, and smoke everywhere. Between wrecked cars, Denzai and Diwa slowly moved westward.

On foot, it took them thirty to forty minutes to get to Ba's house. Nevertheless, driving on these roads was practically impossible; even if they could manage to do so, it would be equivalent to courting death. Denzai scowled as he watched the trainees' disappearing backs and wondered how he could get to his house more quickly.

Diwa muttered behind Denzai, "Head, didn't you bring any weapons?".

"No, hand-to-hand combat is what I'm more accustomed to."He neglected to mention that his body was now significantly more powerful than that of most people. How annoying, he murmurs under his breath.

The Ba clan's home was west of where the center was. Usually, if they have a car, it takes only ten minutes to get there.

Even martial artists like them wouldn't dare to act recklessly in such a hostile environment with monsters. However, if they wanted to get to the residence, they would undoubtedly have to fight along the way.

They frequently have to hide from the monsters at intervals while moving cautiously through wrecked cars. Occasionally, while avoiding monsters, they witnessed them attempting to devour one another.

Denzai felt an odd moment from the left front as they crept between wrecked cars. He squatted down next to the car without giving it much thought.

Swiftttt. ! Bang. !

A hard object flew over his head and slammed into the back of the car. He believes he would have died for sure if it had happened before he developed his martial art. They are such vile creatures, and they can even ambush.

" Ka. ka. ka. Three places are where the monster's eerie laughter is coming from. Diwa pulled his blade from its scabbard as he prepared for battle after the monsters found them.
