The Spider

Frost covers the trees and shines in the light. Soft snow lays cold on the grass. Gentle winds of ice cold temperatures whistles, passing through the trees. Lavernius' footsteps crunch and sink in the snow. The muddy swamp turned into a beautiful frosty oasis. The crocodiles have disappeared and the old shack has a thick blanket of snow over it. Icicles run down the sides of the roof. A small candle light flickers within the cabin. Lavernius sees the Spider crouched in the snow. He seems to be drawing in the powder. The sun has almost fully set and a few stars poke through the dying light. The Spider stands up and walks over to Lavernius.

"That's a neat trick you have." The Spider said

"Yeah, it makes traveling a lot easier." Lavernius said

"I have a few questions to ask, ya." Lavernius said

"No 'How are you?' or 'Long time no see?'?" the Spider said, "What a great way to say hi to your half-brother."

"Oh sorry, Levi. How are you? It has been a long time since we last spoke." Lavernius said

"I'm alright." Levi said, "And you?"

"It has been pretty crazy… The war is not far." Lavernius said

"What are your questions?" Levi said

"You wanted small talk but now you are getting straight to the point? You make no sense sometimes. I guess you get that from Mother." Lavernius said

"You are the impatient one!" Levi exclaimed

"Anyway… Who is the father of Krimson Reagon? And why does he have red eyes while you have gold? You both are descendants of gods, right?" Lavernius asked

"I reached Apotheosis. He has not. Demi-god's eyes are red. Titan's eyes are silver. God's eyes are gold. And his father is, get ready for this, Kryptonick." Levi presented

"What!?!" Lavernius said with shock, "Kryptonick?!?"

"Yeah man. That is what I said." Levi said

"The most powerful god. Wow." Lavernius said, "How many kids does he have?"

"Just Krimson and a titan named Leviathan." Levi said

"Makes sense." Lavernius said

"How is mother?" Levi asked with a passionate tone

"She has fallen ill. You already knew that. So what you meant to ask was 'How am I holding up?'" Lavernius said

"Yeah. I know what happens but not how people feel. I feel… sorrow." Levi said, lowering his hood.

The Spider's skin is as white as snow. His hair is black and long. Without the hood, his hair covers the upper left of his face. Making his left eye concealed. He hugs Lavernius tight as they both begin to cry softly.

"The Doctor said that she won't make it through the winter." Lavernius forced out of himself.

"I miss her very much." Levi said

"It is nice that after my father died, yours took me in as well as our mother." Lavernius said

"Well, they don't call Damion "the god of kindness" for nothing." Levi said

"How did you get your powers anyway?" Lavernius asked, letting go of Levi.

"It is complicated, but the short story is my father didn't want me to be known as a weak god like himself. So he asked Kryptonick if there was anything he could do. Then Kryptonick cursed me. He gave me the knowledge of everything that happens in this world the instant it happens and the future." Levi said, "I mean everything,"

"That is a lot." Lavernius said, "How?"

"How? I'd say… visions. When I am sleeping or daydreaming. Actually it happens all the time. In my left eye I see the events that are happening. I can focus on a particular event or person and see what is going on with them or I don't focus and it is just a blur of everything." Levi said

"I'm guessing in the other eye you see your surroundings?" Lavernius said

"Yeah." Levi said

"I guess that's cool." Lavernius said

"And your other questions?" Levi asked

"What did the Hearts of Flames do in the Kingdom of Dusk?" Lavernius asked

"They killed the queen and kidnapped George, the youngest son." Levi responded

"Where is Phoenix now or heading to?" Lavernius asked

"He has reached his destination. It is the Dunes. He is meeting his cousin, Hunter." Levi said

"Where is Jack Clover?" asked Lavernius

"He is traveling to his death. He wishes to get revenge and is chasing Phoenix." Levi said

"His death?" Lavernius asked

"Yeah, you think he could beat Phoenix?" Levis asked

"He can with me." Lavernius asked

"Hunter is there and they will meet in a temple. The Temple of Titans. There is a gateway made from obsidian there that grants Titans to travel here. You can probably see what is going to happen." Levi said

"Which one?" Lavernius asked

"It isn't clear. There are many futures. My eye shows me all of them. The closer the event, the more clear it becomes." Levi said

"Yeah, that makes sense." Lavernius said.

"I guess you will teleport there?" Levi asked

"Yeah I will. Phoenix messed up my plans. I have to kill him. Jack being there is just a coincidence. Is it possible for nothing to cross?" Lavernius said

"Yes, there is a future where the portal never activates. Beware, most of the tribes in the Dunes respect Hunter. They will obey him and fight for him." Levi said

"Thanks." Lavernius said, "Our mother is at-"

"I know. I was planning on seeing her after we spoke." Levi said, "Be careful."

"I will." Lavernius said, hugging Levi again before disappearing into the shadows.

"He didn't care about the kidnapping or he already knows why Phoenix took the kid." Levi said to himself, looking at the luminescing moon.

The Spider pulls up his hood and walks back to his cabin. His lungs froze with each breath he took. He sat next to his fireplace inside the cabin and began to fall asleep. The gentle breezes created a peaceful night.
